Wine Tasting

      One of the activities I enjoy in my non-digital life is to visit vineyards and wineries. In fact there is one just a few miles from my new house so you know where I will be on the weekends, It doesn't hurt that there is a distillery right down the street either! But that is not what I am about today. You see not all vineyards and wineries are the same. At some there are coolers where you can purchase nibbles, as seen in the picture below, at others these are not available. I personally enjoy the ones were I can pick up some nibbles to go with a lovely glass on whatever wine strikes my fancy.


      Some of the vineyards I have visited do have little outdoor seating areas where you and your friend(s) can go relax in the the sun while sipping away and chatting about whatever strikes you fancy. Now that I will be living closer to friends I hope to do this sort of thing more often, but don't worry I will still be here to write about some nonsense or another.

Trimming the tree

This year I had some help decorating my tree, since Livy was on break from preschool. She loves decorating the tree, but she doesn't exactly reach all the way to the top. That is where I come in. My job is to decorate the top parts of the tree, but even I need a step stool for it. Livy was getting a little distracted by Buster the puppy who was running around under the tree. The silly boy even tried to climb it. Sometimes I think he is part cat! Eventually Livy and I got the putting the star on top of the tree. I think next year I need a shorter tree or a taller step stool.

                   Well I met that handsome flower market man in the park and it turns out he is actually a gentleman. He explained how he had some liquid courage to help him get up the nerve to call me, but it was a little more than he imagined. We had a good laugh about it. I can't say that I haven't done the same thing in the past. We spent all afternoon just chatting away. We never even went to go get that coffee! We agreed to meet at a coffee house next time to guarantee my caffeine fix.

Mr Grant and I headed out for a day of sunshine. Mr. Grant it my dog, you see he is named after one of my favorite old actors, Cary Grant. Ice Entertainer

When you live in a nice cold wintry area ice skating on a properly frozen lake or pond is just something you do. Even if you only do it once, and sometimes it doesn't have to be on a lake. No one can deny that The Rink at Rockefeller Center isn't iconic and it does allow for outdoor skating, but it's just not the same.

See what I mean? You can't skate for an audience of deer at Rockefeller Center. I mean you could find people to dress as deer but I don't think it is quite the same. Look I even got to amuse a raccoon with my on ice antics.

In the garden

I have a fascination with hydrangeas. I an not sure if it is their shape, or the fact that your get a bunch of blooms in one bundle. Whatever it is I made sure my house has some in the front. I gathered up these full blooms so that I could dry them. That way even in the dead of winter I have a little reminder of what the summer will bring, aside from heat and sunny days.

I wonder where I will stick these when they are all dried out. Maybe I should pick some more and turn a whole bunch of them a wreath, a ring of pastel glorious-ness.

Deep Waters

When the last s'more is eaten and the embers are dying down I am left with just the crashing of the waves as my companion.

That was my attempt at being deep. Did it work well? You all may be thinking what has happened you seen suddenly melancholy. I don't believe I consciously am, but maybe some where deep down I am? Oh well this isn't a therapy session so I will get on with it.

I am back at the beach today I hope you haven't become sick of it. It's funny I live about an hour from the beach in the non-digital world, but when I get free time I always seem to head towards the mountains, go figure.

I should head to the mountains of Second Life, maybe then I will head to the beaches in the non-digital world. I am rambling on again please excuse me. Broken Heart or Rage Brewing

I can't tell from the look on my face if I am broken hearted or if there is a rage brewing. I had been going for a broken heart, you know with Valentine's Day this weekend I wanted to do something. As I was looking the picture it also looked like a woman scorned and there is some rage brewing in her face. I have been trying to start the New Year with a neater inventory, of course I get a little distracted. That is what happened here. Look of the Day

I was having trouble figuring out how I wanted to photo this look so I decided to go with a simple look of the day type thing. I know it's not the most creative thing in the world, but at least you get a good view of what I am wearing. I wanted to make sure you also got to see the details on the skirt. The little metal embellishments on the pleats just tickles my fancy, maybe because it gives a sort of edge to an otherwise "harmless" skirt. 'Dillo Love

When one is wearing an armadillo covered skirt the best place for pictures is the desert don't you agree? Well it made sense in my head anyway. If you have never noticed I have a thing for wearing black and white with a pop of color here and there and this look is no exception. There is just something fun about a black and white look with red shoes. It's like a pleasant surprise when you get to my toes.

My lips wanted to get in on the pop of red action today too, so I let them.

I missed my calling

I always wanted to be a figure skater and I had dreams of Olympic Gold. However the North Pole doesn't get represented in the games. You see the big man thinks that 1. It would give away the secrets of Christmas if we competed 2. We would have an unfair advantage, something about inherent grace. Oh well I can still dream right?
I do adore getting out on the ice and swirling and twirling around like a ballerina, only on the ice.
Maybe you would like to try your luck on the ice. It is really great fun and then there is always hot chocolate afterwards!

Mooo for your Monday

Miss Moo is here to make you Monday a little more....bovine? What can I say I have a strange need to blog as Miss Moo on Monday, it just makes sense in my head. Anyway She is decked out in some nice goodies, some older than others. Lets start at the top and work down shall we? The hair, while still technically on the new side, it isn't the newest release from Exile. That being said it is still lovely and stretches nicely for my big 'ol head. Now onto my necklace, it's from fri.day at the Albero gacha festival. If you haven't been you really should, it's so addictive. If you are lucky like I am you have friends who shower you with their extras ♥ You have until the 10th to get over there so don't wait around!
