Wine Tasting

      One of the activities I enjoy in my non-digital life is to visit vineyards and wineries. In fact there is one just a few miles from my new house so you know where I will be on the weekends, It doesn't hurt that there is a distillery right down the street either! But that is not what I am about today. You see not all vineyards and wineries are the same. At some there are coolers where you can purchase nibbles, as seen in the picture below, at others these are not available. I personally enjoy the ones were I can pick up some nibbles to go with a lovely glass on whatever wine strikes my fancy.


      Some of the vineyards I have visited do have little outdoor seating areas where you and your friend(s) can go relax in the the sun while sipping away and chatting about whatever strikes you fancy. Now that I will be living closer to friends I hope to do this sort of thing more often, but don't worry I will still be here to write about some nonsense or another.

The Quiet Life

When I was taking this picture (and the other dozen I didn't like) I kept thinking of Beauty and The Beast. I am not saying I am Belle or The Beast, it's actually for another reason. If you have ever seen the movie than you know the song Belle sings as she walks into town. Yeah that kept playing in my head, well just the "Little town, it's a quiet village..."When I took this picture I had yet to see a real snowy day, now I have had 3 days in a row and it looks just like that around here. So now I tell you that part about this post that will make you possibly dislike me greatly, my outfit, hair, cup and skin are all from events that have ended. Please don't hate me!

New Year with the family

How does one ring in the new year with a little kid. Well if it anything like here it means the adults are ready for bed by 10 pm. while the little person is bouncing off the walls. My sister and I were happy to power through to the ball drop and as the lower so did the Livy's energy levels. We all finally crashed for the night getting the first sleep of the New Year. The next morning, as much as I was in need to coffee, I made some "fancy" hot chocolate for Livy. Not to worry there was also a pot of coffee brewing in the kitchen.

While we were all together I thought I would set up my camera to take a photo of the three of us together. It doesn't happen often that we are all together for more than a little while so I wanted to save the moment.

Hopefully there will be more family time in the new year. Maybe that will be my resolution this year...

Cats!

I never started out with this many cats. You see I got one, but he seemed lonely so I got him a playmate. However they didn't get along so well so I got another. I thought maybe having a third would make things a little better. I was wrong. Somehow in the end I ended up with five cats all with their own personalities.

This little grey one though, if there is a bag or a box he will find a way to get his head stuck. I may be slowly turning into a cat lady, but never shall I admit to being crazy!

The Captive Bookworm

Enchantment has started it's newest round and it is all based on Beauty and the Beast. This one has always been a favorite because of Belle's love of books. Being an avid reader I always thought she was the best. I had to surround her with books because it just seemed appropriate. The poses, dress and hair are all part of this round and when you buy them you get a little stamp card that you stamp in all the participating stores and then redeem them for prizes. Now I want to point out something about the dress. It comes in other colors, but that's not all...

There are four different ways to wear it. There is the slim skirt, the fuller skirt, the lace overlay, and all of it together. I chose the innocent color because really Belle was innocent so it is quite fitting.

Floating into the new year

I am slowly drifting into the new year.

The new year is full of potential and I am hoping to embrace it all, hopefully more good than bad. I won't make any resolutions, I will just try to be the person I know I am inside. That is my goal for the new year.

Twas the night

Before Christmas when all through the house the furry little creatures were messing about. A little girl lay all snug in her sack while waiting for Santa to come back. She tired her hardest to stay awake, but the warmth of the fire cause her to drift off to dreamland. She had dreams of cookies and cake all of which her mother did bake. On Christmas morning oh the joy as she unwrapped each and every toy. And now my post has come to an end and with it I say Happy Christmas to all and to all a good Thursday!

Stretching Her Legs

...continued from yesterday.
After the mermaid awoke the man found an old pair of his pajama bottoms and tank top for her to wear. He set her up in his spare room with all the things one would normally have to get better. Of course the poor dear was not at all used to sleeping in a human bed. She found herself tossing and turning trying to find the right position.

Once the mermaid was feeling up to it, and the young man had time to go out and get some proper clothes for her, he took her out to explore his village. The first stop was to get her hair trimmed as she had trouble seeing through her long hair. He allowed her to wander around on her own, though he always kept her in eyesight, just in case. She was almost instantly drawn to the fountain in the the center of the town.

The spray of the water reminded her of her own home under the sea. The water had no effect on her fins however because it was fresh water and not the salt water like home. It made her long for her own home, but she also wanted to stay with the young man who had been so kind and loving to her. Her heart was being pulled in two different directions.

Stargazer Clubhouse

Arts and Crafts Time

It's arts and crafts time today. Now I am not a scrapbooker, but you wouldn't know that from looking at this picture. What I really am is and arts and crafts supply hoarder. You never know when you may need some cute tape or cut out shapes or stickers. Stamps and paint can come in handy when you are bored. I did however make two cute collages for this post, on full of pictures of my and my slister Lola and one of me and my Lillie.
I figured since my art supplies and shoes were from The Arcade that I should go all out. So my necklace and hair are also from The Arcade. Lola got the necklace for me because it combines two of my favorite things, frogs and yellow. I am pretty sure I have wore this hair in other posts already, but I love it and this color is my favorite of the moment.

The Campsite Creeper

It's the Campsite Creeper's favorite day of the year, Friday the 13th. The Creeper waits patiently for this day to fall so she can set about her work. What work you ask? The Campsite Creeper skulks around campsites waiting for a sleepy eyed camper to stumble out of their tent in the middle of the night. She then follows them silently and then...I can't even bring myself to type it, it is just too horrific!
Let this serve as a warning, never venture out alone on Friday the 13th if you are out camping, you never know if the Campsite Creeper is out there lurking.

Casual Laziness

I am being a lazy bum and not just in the picture. I have gotten into a bad habit of styling looks and then not taking pictures of them. It's really terrible, this outfit however is not. I put this look together from a few things from the Black Fair that started yesterday.
