      I am going to make this weeks post short and sweet. Today's post is brought to you by No Doubt, the soundtrack of my early dating years.

      I just loved the texture effect the window had on the photo. Oh if you haven't figured it out, the song inspiration for this week was Don't Speak by No Doubt. It had just the right amount of angst for a naive girl first venturing out into the dating world.

      That's right I have been away for a bit and here I am coming in hot. What can I say it looks like Dark Phire is in charge today. o would you like to play a game? Head I win, tails you lose...your head. Now now no need to be shy, I will even let you pick the coin. 

      What do you mean you don't trust me look? I am as sweet as candy. Haven't you ever heard that looks can be deceiving? Just because I appear naughty doesn't mean I am not nice. Oh, that threat at the beginning, that is just part of the game silly. You have played games before haven't you? There is always a winner and a loser. I promise if you lose I will make it quick and, well not painless, but as little pain as possible. Why are you running away? Quiet Afternoon

Living in the southern part of the United States I don't have to worry about snow or other wintery nastiness. That means I get to spend more time outside, which is a lovely thing. This is what a typical afternoon would look like, well with a few changes. For starters it would be one of the kids hanging out with me, and they would be drinking something other than coffee. And to be honest I would probably be reading on a Kindle or using a tablet. Okay the girl child and I would be wearing Disney hoodies instead of sweaters, but otherwise it's totally a normal afternoon.

Tattoos and Me

Some things you may not know about the non-digital me is that my hair is currently red and I have two Celtic inspired tattoos on my body. Nope I don't have pictures, it's hard to take a picture of your own shoulder. I don't have nearly as many tattoos as seen here, not does my hair ever look this fantastic.


The swirl  bit you see in the middle of my chest there is what I have tattooed on my wrist, though it's a little changed to be more meaningful to me, which isn't that what a tattoo should be, meaningful to the wearer I mean? If you click on the picture you can see better, but there is a lot of Celtic knotwork going on here too. That is what I have on my shoulder, though my knots are in the shape of a star. What can I say I have a thing for stars. Please forgive my pictures if they are a little on the blurrier side of things. I am still getting used to the new computer and it's graphics. Baking Pies

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the US so it's time to bake those pies. There is only so much room in the oven with the big ol' turkey in there. So today Livy and I went on a pie baking mission at my house while her mom cleaned theirs. First up was making the crust. This is not as fun as I had thought. In fact it took me more than one try to get the crust right. I am new at this crust from scratch thing. I did have quite the adorable helper.


After baking the pies we needed for tomorrow we decided to use the leftover crust dough and filling to make little hand pies. I should have known not to turn my back on a little trouble maker...


That little Thanksgiving turkey stole one of the mini pies and tried to run away from me! Oh well her mom will have to deal with a messy sugar monster tonight and not me. I am such a loving sister!

Binge Watching

I know I am not alone in having a show or twelve that I will happily binge watch. While I try to keep my late night binging to a minimum sometimes you just can't stop watching. This is when good battery life can come in handy.


Sometimes you don't want to admit to something you may have binge watched, for instance, the first three Jaws movies.Hey the first is a classic and well the other two just sorta followed, don't judge. We all have binge skeletons in our closets. We stay up till all hours and before we know it the movie,season or series ends.


There are times when the endings are all we hoped for, they are the best. Then there are endings that leave you going WTF! I'm looking at you Sopranos! However you feel at the end of a binge session is just one of those things you won't know about until after you do it. So go forth my friends and binge. Oh and tell me what you are binging on because I am always use more stuff to watch.

           Hey look I am not jay-walking. Which is a good thing, because if I got ticketed it wouldn't turn out too well for me. I am playing with browns and whites today. I started with the jacket with it's leather accents and wanted to soften things a little with the skirt. And of course tie it all together with a cute little tote like bag. Girl's Day Out

There is nothing better than having a little time out with a gal pal. Sure we could be shopping or seeing a movie, but having a lunch date with the possible glass of wine or two is way better. A little retro

This weekend I cleaned up my inventory a little. It's wasn't a big purge, more like putting things where they belong. I admit I may have gone on a shopping bender or two recently. And well as you do when you are sorting things I put on these jeans. They had a retro feel to them and I knew exactly what top to rock with them. Well since I had a retro chic thing going on I added the glasses and well it rolled from there.

Tea Time

It's tea time! I have a confession to make. I collect teacups in SL. I know it seems a bit strange, but I do. I have a soft spot for teacups. So it's not surprising that when The Arcade rolls around and there are teacups to be had I seek them out.

There are times where I attempt to get all the pieces of a tea set.

I am also a sucker for tulips. Combine some tulips with a cute bunny and I am all over that cuteness!
And what is a tea party with out dressing up all prettily? I think I shall call these two Cinnamon and Sugar based on what we are wearing. Cinnamon obviously being the one in red, because it more cinnamony than that minty one.

Twas the night

Before Christmas when all through the house the furry little creatures were messing about. A little girl lay all snug in her sack while waiting for Santa to come back. She tired her hardest to stay awake, but the warmth of the fire cause her to drift off to dreamland. She had dreams of cookies and cake all of which her mother did bake. On Christmas morning oh the joy as she unwrapped each and every toy. And now my post has come to an end and with it I say Happy Christmas to all and to all a good Thursday!

Look of the Day

I was having trouble figuring out how I wanted to photo this look so I decided to go with a simple look of the day type thing. I know it's not the most creative thing in the world, but at least you get a good view of what I am wearing. I wanted to make sure you also got to see the details on the skirt. The little metal embellishments on the pleats just tickles my fancy, maybe because it gives a sort of edge to an otherwise "harmless" skirt. Metal and Spikes

I will admit heavy metal has never really been a musical genre that I have willingly listened to. I say willingly because there have been times that I have listened to it to make others happy, namely my kid, go figure. That being said it didn't stop me from enjoying the offerings in the Metal section at Rhapsody.

I may look all sugar and spice most of the time but that doesn't stop me from having a weakness for spikes.
