Quiet Afternoon

Living in the southern part of the United States I don't have to worry about snow or other wintery nastiness. That means I get to spend more time outside, which is a lovely thing. This is what a typical afternoon would look like, well with a few changes. For starters it would be one of the kids hanging out with me, and they would be drinking something other than coffee. And to be honest I would probably be reading on a Kindle or using a tablet. Okay the girl child and I would be wearing Disney hoodies instead of sweaters, but otherwise it's totally a normal afternoon.

A picnic with Preston

On the Naughty List

There are some things that just do not fly in my world. One of those things was having a younger sibling. I mean here I am going along as an only child for what felt like ages. Then along comes a little sister. What a pain! I tried my best to be nice. I hung stockings with her and told her all about how Santa would fill them with sweets and treats.

See a sweet sisterly moment, until something happened. She annoyed me so much I started to tease her. I mean it was all in good fun. Of course she could take a joke, so she told our parents. Look it wasn't that bad!

I was only holding her present out of reach. Who hasn't done that to a younger sibling or two before? It's like an older sibling rite of passage or something. I didn't take getting tattled on too well, I know that I was a little extreme in my response, but I was young and emotional. Besides Santa can always use more elves right?
Sure now I may slightly regret it, but hey I am making it up be being a super awesome aunt to her kid. I must have a guilty concious.

The Deadly Date

This poor man had no idea when he was in for when he agreed to be a guest at her home for dinner. Being a romantic young man he thought there would be a candle light dinner, he may have been mistaken. Since his momma taught him never to arrive empty handed he helped himself to some of the roses in his neighbors garden. She would never notice a couple missing blooms.

Boy was he wrong! Before he was even given the chance to present his date with the flowers he dropped dead right on the spot. Now anyone looking in on this scene may have assume the pretty lady who was his date may have done something malicious with the knife in her hand, but that wasn't so.

Just look at that face. Does that look like the face of a killer. Sure she happens to be holding a knife, but it is clean, and so is she. And to add to that there doesn't seem to be a single sign of a stab wound of any kind on the young man. Did he simply have a heart attack or was it something more mysterious and underhanded? Out The Door

Time to step out the door and greet the week. I would prefer if it were still the weekend and I was still in bed, but that isn't going to happen any time soon. So here I am heading out to get things done. They aren't terribly exciting things. I mean no one wants to have to go out and by kitty litter but it has to be done. Maybe I will treat myself to a trip to the local coffee shop for a caffeine pick me up.

It's a sunny day maybe I should have remembered my sunglasses. Oh well I think I will be able to tough it out.

Music and Petals

Even an elf needs a happy place. Sometimes that happy place is full of music, flowers and trees like this cream clad elf's happy place.

On occasion when the mood strikes she will sit at her piano an play a sweet melody, other times she will stop and smell the roses. Both the music and the scent of the flowers seem to have a calming effect on her when the stresses of power get to be too much.

Playing at Punk

I am not a very punk girl, but I can play one in SL. I know very little of punk music if we are being completely honest, but that is the category at Rhapsody that my tied shirt and poses come from.

The pose set is named Joan, and if the names of the individual poses are any clue then I can saying guess they were named after Joan Jett songs. I know these songs very well because when I was little my sister used to play her record all the time. I used to sing along to "I love Rock n Roll" all the time. I was little and it was cute, or at least that is what I am told.

Dark and Chic

Today I am attempting a chic fashionable look for my photos. The looks felt like it called for something a little out of my norm.
I feel all fashionable today and if you are wondering, yes most of my look did come from The Black Fair. So you know expect to see a fair bit of black from me in the coming posts.
I wasn't going to wear a tattoo with the look but Lola convinced me that I needed it. It does seem to add a little something to the look if I am being honest.
