Music Mondays - Let It Snow

      Last week I missed out on my Music Monday post because of my non-digital life, but I am back this week and I think I will have one next week and that will be it for this little adventure. This week I chose Let it Snow for the song because it seems fitting. This weekend the weather outside was frightful, but it was rain and not snow.


      It's just out of frame, but he did bring some corn for popping, and the fire was oh so delightful. Of course when you are all curled up and cozy but the fire no one wants to say goodbye even as the fire slowly burns itself down to embers. And I better stop there before this is no longer rated G. I hope you are enjoying being cozy, even if that means being wrapped in a blanket with a good book and cup of tea!

Music Monday - Total Eclipse of the Heart

      I am sure when I said something Halloween related this song is not what popped into your mind first. You were most likely  thinking something along the lines of Thriller, Monster Mash, or quite possibly something from Rocky Horror Picture Show, and all would have been great choices if I hadn't read something recently. You see I learned that the song was originally written to me in a musical Nosferatu, and was originally titled "Vampires in Love". So you see in a round about way it's a perfect Halloween song. Now I am sure you want to see the photo so here it is!



      I took a lot of elements from the video for this weeks photo/song combo. In fact this is the song that really got me started on this journey. I had been planning to pay homage to this song for a while and after watching the video way too many times the idea finally clicked. The Accused

      Since it's less than a week till Halloween I figured it was time to start this year's themed posts. This year I am going to be styling different witches, with creative license as usual. To start it all off I am touching on the accused witch of the Salem era. Now a days if you accused your neighbor of being a witch you would be ignored for the most part. Unfortunately this is not the same for the women in Salem who were accused of witchcraft.



      These accused woman were hung due to mass hysteria, of course they were all posthumously exonerated, but that doesn't erase the fact that they lost their lives. In fact many men, women and children were all accused of witchcraft. Sorry this isn't a history lesson and I will stop. I promise the other witches are all as deep as this one, but I had to start somewhere.

Geppetto's Great Great Great Grandson

Being one of Geppetto's family you hear tale of how his son started off as a wooden boy. Now it may just be a tale told to explain the sudden appearance of a young boy at Geppetto's house, or it could be real. Over the years his family just came to accept it as it was and thought nothing of it. That is until his many greats grandson decided to test this story out.

This young man went through all the hard work to crave himself a wooden lady. He was not ready to be a father. Night after night he would wait and wish on a star just as the story had told.
Each and every night he would carefully pose his wooden lady in hope that she would become real.

He may still be there waiting and wishing upon all the stars in the sky. Maybe a blue fairy will come to him and make her real for him. Or maybe he will give up this wold idea and go find himself a woman who is already living.

A Pirate Story Part Two

            When Morgana woke up the following morning she found a beautiful gown draped next to her. She has no idea who is was from or who had spotted her, but since it covered her much more than what she was wearing she put it on. Once dressed she spotted a ship in the cove below her, it felt like ages since she had been the captain of her own vessel.

           She lusted after the ship terribly and was lost to her own thoughts. She was staring dreamily at the ship as a stranger approached. He said to her, "I see you are staring at my ship.", needless to say this startled her greatly as she did not hear his approach.

               He didn't let on that he knew her to be the much famed Captain Morgana, but all good pirates knew who she was. He invited her to join him on his ship. Having few options available to her and with much caution she decided to join him. They sailed far from the archipelago that had caused her so much grief. She taught him how to be a feared but just pirate as they sailed the seas together. Overtime they took their fortune and sailed off into the sunset, putting their pirating days behind them.

The Deadly Date

This poor man had no idea when he was in for when he agreed to be a guest at her home for dinner. Being a romantic young man he thought there would be a candle light dinner, he may have been mistaken. Since his momma taught him never to arrive empty handed he helped himself to some of the roses in his neighbors garden. She would never notice a couple missing blooms.

Boy was he wrong! Before he was even given the chance to present his date with the flowers he dropped dead right on the spot. Now anyone looking in on this scene may have assume the pretty lady who was his date may have done something malicious with the knife in her hand, but that wasn't so.

Just look at that face. Does that look like the face of a killer. Sure she happens to be holding a knife, but it is clean, and so is she. And to add to that there doesn't seem to be a single sign of a stab wound of any kind on the young man. Did he simply have a heart attack or was it something more mysterious and underhanded? Stay tuned to find out what really happened to this young man...

His Lordship's Newest Toy

Every year a young maiden is sent away from her home to the manor of the local lord to serve him in the manner he chooses. She is dressed in the purest of white garments to showcase her virtue. It had been said that it is the longest walk a maiden from the village can take.

Once she arrives at the manor she is put through a rigorous inspection by his lordship himself. I won't go into the details of the inspection, but if he doesn't like what he sees then she can be sent off to work in one of his brothels or she may be given away as a gift to any of the other lords in the surrounding areas.

Lucky for this years maiden she is deemed worthy by his lordship and is taken away, cleaned and dressed and marked as his. For the next year she is there to serve him whenever and where ever he feels. There are days where she will not see him at all and then there will be days that she does not leave his side.

Who know what will happen to her next year when the newest maiden is sent to the manor, but for now she is his and that is all she knows.

Music Man

I have a confession to make. I am a sucker for a man that can play an instrument. I especially go weak in the knees for those that can play the guitar or piano. Maybe it comes from having zero musical talent myself, who knows. I would be lying if I said that I haven't begged a few people to play for me in the past. It just makes me giddy when they agree. Maybe one day I will learn how to play something myself, but for now I am more than happy to enjoy the talents of others. Less Than Fifty Shades of Phire

I have been holding out on posting this one because I wanted it to do it the day the movie came out. I admit I know nothing about the books or the movie since I have neither read nor seen either.

This huge gorgeous couch is from ~Libertine~ and it seats, well a lot of people. It's broken up into five different areas and there are a bunch of options in each one. Not Quite The Darcy's

We strolled arm in arm across the grounds of his stately manor house, where we were headed I hadn't a clue. We had been courting for what seemed like ages and I wonder if today could be the day. We paused beneath a grove of weeping willow trees and my heart skipped a beat. He took my hand in his and said...

I hope can can forgive my my faults. We may have had our ups and our downs, but we have always made it through them together. You are patient and kind when I am in my foulest of moods and yet there you are still loving me the way you do. I dare not imagine a life without so here beneath these trees I ask...Will you marry me?
And with that he got down on one knee! As much as I had been waiting and hoping for this moment I was completely speechless. All the planning in the world never truly prepares you for the moment when the man you love asks you to share a lifetime together.

Oh and in case you were wondering once I regain the ability to speak I say yes, several times in fact.

Golden Afternoon

One of my favorite things about SL is that it can be whatever season I want it to be. My favorite season is autumn and so with very little help from me, my darling dear set up a fall hideaway for us. I couldn't resist using it for pictures and since he is such a good sport he agreed. I had been waiting for just the right place to take some picnic pictures and this was it.

Neither of us are really big drinkers, but we couldn't resist a little bubbly. Just like one would expect the bubbles went straight to our heads and we got silly.

The Cabaret Singer

The Muse

Everyone has their own idea of what a Muse is. There are the Greek mythological goddesses and there are the more human forms as well, such as a lover. We have all dealt with the lack of inspiration before and it can be quite frustrating to be certain. Take this poor soul for instance. His Muse is no where to be found thus leaving him annoyed and rapidly approaching his deadline.

Where can his Muse have gone? You can't expect a Muse to be on call all day every day now can you? They deserve a break too. Sometimes they are away on vacations and other times it's just a quick coffee break.

In this case she was just getting a quick cup of coffee. Even the Muse has a boss though and he ordered her back to work right away. No rest for those that inspire I guess.

The Muse sprinkles her magic dust upon her charge and he is off to work again. he has yet to miss a deadline while in her care and he most likely never will. She will always be on hand to inspire him, even if she cuts it a little close.

Vacation in Capri

I think I am having a Roman Holiday type moment here. Of course I am no princess and the sim I visited was not Rome, but the classic styling works for the movie reference right? Spider's Feast

The spider lurks in the shadows waiting for an unsuspecting victim to wander down the path. She waits patiently knowing some poor fool will soon come along and she can bring food home to her hungry spiderlings.

Finally a foolish human man wanders down the path. The spider slowly makes her way through the trees quiet as a whisper as to not arouse suspicion. She creeps up behind him, catching him unaware, his fate already sealed....

She bounds him in her silky thread and brings him home to her awaiting brood. He never knew what happened to him and neither did the people of his town.....

Now how about a better look the the spider in this brief tale?

Long time no Blog!

This time I followed Sakura's lead. She got all dressed up fancy and grown up ( for her this is fancy and grown up), so I felt like I had to as well. Of course it was pointed out to me that fancy ladies don't bare their midriff. Oh well.



Sakura is such a patient friend putting up with my picture taking, even if she does want me to do all the work. She wanted me to pick out the pose she used for her solo shot, but I am mean and said No!



Taking pictures of myself isn't as exciting though. Maybe because I do it so much? I mean sure I can be my favorite subject sometimes, but I am so glad I can drag friends into them too.
