Leaves

      When I was in elementary school I believed all sorts of things, from the usual kid stuff to some pretty out there stuff. One of the things I believe was if you caught a leaf before it hit the ground you got your wish. I am almost positive that it is just something my wild imagination made up, but there I was waiting for the bus trying to caught all the leaves I could as they drifted down from the trees. I can't even remember what I was wishing for as the leaves fell so many years ago, but I was reminded of my childhood beliefs when I was taking this picture.

      I may have out-grown wishing on falling leaves, but I will never out-grow my love for Fall. The sights, sounds and tastes will never leave my memories, even if the leaves don't change like the did up North.

All the lemons

      They say when life hands you lemons you should make lemonade. The only way that lemonade is going to help is if there is something a lot stronger mixed in. Why am I mentioning this time worn saying you may wonder, well life handed me a crop of lemons in the last couple of months. No one warned my when your hip joint is inflamed that it can hurt like a monkey trucker! Sitting, walking, anything and everything hurts. Luckily it has been all handled and I can move on. Starting with this post and it's lemons.


      Honestly though if life is giving you lemons bake them into something delicious or use it for garnish on a nice strong drink. Now spring has sprung and one of my favorite yearly events is around the corner things are going to start picking up again! The one thing being stuck away from the computer has done is given me lots of ideas so beware!

Modern Witch

      There are quite a few shows that I could have used to inspire my modern witch, but since I am a fan of American Horror Story I went with the witches of the Coven and the current season for inspiration. Almost all the ladies have a standard "uniform" of a full black outfit. This was easy to achieve since I am not lacking in a black wardrobe.


      No witch worth her power would leave the house without her cell phone and a latte. Maybe that is just a me thing, since I can never leave the house without some caffeine and my phone.


      I think one of the things these Coven witches try to avoid in direct sunlight, at least that is what the hats and parasols seem to say to me. I don't blame them, if these witches are anything like me they burn in the sun. Hmmm, maybe I am a witch, it sure beats what my kids call me " The Irish Vampire".

Leaf Peeper

      Here I am playing coy. I say playing because I am not sure I could ever actually be coy. Then again I think I could try to be shy and/or modest, but it's the alluring bit that eludes me. Hey stop laughing you! I could be modest if I wanted to be! Fine, even I couldn't type that with a straight face. I do think I am pretty awesome and have no problem saying such most days.


      Enough about me and my over-inflated ego. I am here to show pretty things, and cute things too, because that is how I would describe this hair from bonbon. It has a youthful nature to it that definitely vibes with the whole coy thing. Also since it is officially fall (though it's still in the 90's here) I am wearing a cardigan. I would live in cardigans year round if I thought I would withstand a southern summer in one. I love the color of the autumn leaves still, even if I don't get to see them.

Geppetto's Great Great Great Grandson

Being one of Geppetto's family you hear tale of how his son started off as a wooden boy. Now it may just be a tale told to explain the sudden appearance of a young boy at Geppetto's house, or it could be real. Over the years his family just came to accept it as it was and thought nothing of it. That is until his many greats grandson decided to test this story out.

This young man went through all the hard work to crave himself a wooden lady. He was not ready to be a father. Night after night he would wait and wish on a star just as the story had told.
Each and every night he would carefully pose his wooden lady in hope that she would become real.

He may still be there waiting and wishing upon all the stars in the sky. Maybe a blue fairy will come to him and make her real for him. Or maybe he will give up this wold idea and go find himself a woman who is already living.

Garden Maze

I have always wanted to go into a garden maze before in my non-digital life, and one of these days I hope to. I have had fun in corn mazes before, but it's just not the same as lush garden greens. So for now I have decided to be content with the digital version.

I have always wondered what happens if someone gets lost in a garden maze. I mean you can't exactly cut through the hedges, at least not that I imagine. How do they make sure no one is lost in it over night? I guess I could Google it but the answers I make up in my head are probably more amusing than the truth. I took several wrong turns and hot many a dead end before coming to the center of the garden maze I visited.

When I did get to the center it was very serene. There were butterflies flitting about and of course flowers. As you can see there are tulips in the center and tulips just happen to be my favorite flower.

Love Her?

A Winter Stroll

There is new men's hair out at Exile today and I thought I would have a little fun. I let Phlint out of his cage and took him shopping. The new styles are fairly unisex so I thought I would do a "Who Wore it Best" type of deal. That is why Phlint and I look like a matchy matchy couple. I decided to go a little darker and more bad girl today. It could be because I have been in a mood lately because of RL stuff. It's a much healthier outlet for my "mama bear" rage.

Today's doll has a nautical thing going on so I chose to head out into the world and find a fitting place to take some pictures.
It was kind of hard to find a skirt that worked with the mesh jacket. A lot of the skirts I had picked, with the blue and white were too poofy or too high waisted to work with the jacket. I have to say I am still, in my oh so humble opinion, adorable.

A day at the lake

I took myself out to a lake for a little rest and relaxation. A little row around in the crisp autumn air on a sunny day is quite invigorating. Once we got to land again I heard the unmistakable sound for frogs, so I thought it would be fun to try and catch one. I happen to love frogs, mini me on the other hand not to much.
She got a little startled by the frog in her face, maybe next time I should start with something small like a red-eyed tree frog. Or maybe take her to see some colorful poison dart frogs.

Young Love

Is there any better animated love story and heartbreaking and awe inspiring as the love between Ellie and Carl in Up? It's rare that an animated movie can make adults weep the way that movie does. I am getting misty eyed just typing this post. I did my best to capture the magic and love between the two, but that seems to be a challenge I can not measure up to.
Of course in Phireworld Ellie can not measure up to Carl. Okay so I am just really short, but hey there is nothing wrong with a little role reversal...right? Before we start a lively debate on that topic, or not so lively, I shall send forth the credits.

The Farmer's Daughter

It's story time again. This story is all about a farmer, his daughter and a mischievous Faery. Once upon a time there was a farmer who had a beautiful daughter.
This farmer was very protective of his daughter and wanted to keep her safe. On day the father traveled away from the farm to seek help for the local faery. He begged her to keep his daughter safe. The mischievous faery got a twinkle in her eye and assured the farmer she would keep his daughter safe. When the farmer arrived home he couldn't find his daughter. He looked high and low all over the farm. He finally went into his daughter's room and noticed a new snowglobe on the shelf in between her prized lion and unicorn figurines.
He went over for a closer look and what taken aback. Inside the globe was his daughter, trapped in the snowglobe.
Her father is still trying to figure out how to free his daughter from her snowglobe prison. The moral of the story, Faery makes fun pose props, oh and maybe don't ask mischievous faeries for help.

Still Waiting

Poor Boo is all grown up and still she stares at the closet door waiting for "Kitty" to come and visit her again. This suddenly seems very depressing when it was intended to be silly. Though it does beg to question do monsters still visit if you still believe in them and laugh at their antics?

So we are starting a little late with this years 52 weeks of color challenge here, but we have an excuse. Oh hey it's been ages since I did this blogging thing but I thought I would interrupt Phire's awesomeness to put my face all up in yours. Well maybe not so much my actual face since I spent part of the day making a shape so I could look like Noodle from the Gorillaz >.>


It all started when I had to have the Flying Fortress hair from fashionably dead that is currently at the hair fair. In some crazed effort to not buy the same colors I always do I got one of the rainbow packs and when I wore the purple one I realized it looked like Noodle and well who doesn't love Noodle? So I went on a mission to find and outfit and settled on one that was closest to the El Manana video. With the help of my dear friend Lolapants I found the shirt and the rest was in my inventory minus the shape which I made of course and BOOM! Instant Noodle!

I think I sorta have the hang of doing this blogging thing again and you might see me more often, but for now I shall run amok pretending to be Noodle and awesome and all that fun stuff \o/
