Livy's Diner

I got the honor to watch my little niece Livy the other night. Her parents needed an overnight sitter and I got the honor. Right before bedtime she wanted to show me the new diner playset that her parents bought her. And of course as with and imaginative little kid she wanted to make me something tasty to eat in her diner. Being a well trained chef she made sure she washed her hands before cooking anything.

As you can see I am rocking some cute sheep slippers, but they are nothing compared to the ones Livy wore. After washing her hands she hit the fridge to get some pretend food out to cook me her latest culinary creation.

Do you see those little dragon feet slippers she is wearing? You know you wish you had your own dragon slippers don't ya? Anyway I must say that Livy runs the best pretend diner with the tastiest pretend food creations ever. Hey I am an Aunt I am allowed to say that.

Young Love

Is there any better animated love story and heartbreaking and awe inspiring as the love between Ellie and Carl in Up? It's rare that an animated movie can make adults weep the way that movie does. I am getting misty eyed just typing this post. I did my best to capture the magic and love between the two, but that seems to be a challenge I can not measure up to.
Of course in Phireworld Ellie can not measure up to Carl. Okay so I am just really short, but hey there is nothing wrong with a little role reversal...right? Before we start a lively debate on that topic, or not so lively, I shall send forth the credits.

Cinderelly and Gus

Cinderella may have been a busy worker, but then I got to her and she caught my lazies. I mean I can't tell you the last time I was on my hands and knees scrubbing a floor. Then again I don't think I have ever made clothes for mice or went to a ball. Still I don't think I would trade lives with her, besides I already have my prince. Yup I said it and yup I am that cheesey.
I think my Gus is a little cuter than the one Cinderella hung out with. I also don't have to worry about this Gus getting chased by Lucifer (so didn't understand the name of the cat till I was older). I will be playing catch up with the rest of the characters that I haven't gotten too. I would be lying if I didn't say getting back into the back to school groove hasn't thrown me off. I Have Had Better Ideas

What can I say I am a sucker for a cute face and am nice enough to share cookies. However I should have known the little sneak had one behind her back. Well I sure did pay for that little bout of sugar overload! First she wouldn't settle down.
There is a good chance that she could have fallen out of her chair, and I don't think she would have cared. And don't fret all those treats in front of her are just pretend. She wanted to have a tea party, but it was getting close to her nap time.
Some how I don't think a nap is in the cards today. Oh my aching head!

A Duck Out Of Water

It's time for another Disney Bounding post, this time it is Daisy Duck. I Always thought that Daisy was a diva compared to Minnie Mouse, but they both have been in love with their men, er animals umm well you know, for a very long time. How she puts up with Donald's anger issues is beyond me.
Styling Daisy was fun for me, though it did involve a whole lot of white, something I don't generally have a lot of.

Never a Barista When You Need One

Rushing around in the morning I don't have time to wait for an absentee barista to make my coffee. I mean I do have appointments to keep.
I am not the most patient soul in the mornings without my coffee. I must have at least one before I am civil and the fact that I am stuck here waiting is really trying my patience! I may come off all sugar and spice, but I can be very not nice.
My patience has been zapped, maybe it is time to get one of those coffee makers for at home. Then I won't have to rely on anyone else to make it for me. It is possible that I am being over dramatic here, but hey that is my choice darn it!
  Well in all honesty this is not me at all. I just felt an air of being a rushed city dweller on my way to a high powered job, maybe at a fashion magazine or something. I don't know, but I do know the dress is gorgeous, this color reminds me of a sunset.

One with nature

A Beauty Sleeps

I couldn't rightly take a picture if Aurora (also known as Sleeping Beauty) without a sleepy looking picture. For the longest time Aurora was my the favorite princess of mini me. Somewhere around here I even have a picture of her meeting Aurora. Of course she has moved on to a new favorite princess that I will be getting around to soon. Even thought the faeries fought over the color of Auroras dress I chose to go with the pink. I tried, though not very hard, to find a dress that went from blue to pink but failed.
Maybe instead of sleeping I should have been out singing with forest creatures, maybe dancing with an owl in a mans cloak? All these posts have me longing to watch all the older movies, even if the kids don't want to watch with me. Shall we sally forth on to the credits?

A Subtle Safari

It is the last round of Zodiac, and it is bittersweet. Being a Leo though I am happy it ends with my sign, where it began too if I am not mistaken. That being said, this is what I threw together with a couple of pretties from Zodiac, and a few other things too.
I have to say I really dig the way the paws of the necklace pokes out at the collar of the dress. It almost looks like they could be an awesome clasp to hold the collar together, like the paws would lock together. I am running out of things to wrote so go visit Zodiac before it goes away for good.

It's a bird

No it's a plane! Actually it's a chick dressed as an elephant who can fly. Yup that's right I am channeling Dumbo for week seventeen of Disney bound.
My Dumbo looks like she is ready for some erm, recreational activities of the plant based kind. Yeah I was trying to be subtle.
I tried to tint the hat as close to yellow as I could to mimic Dumbo's. You know I don't think I have actually watched Dumbo in forever. I do remember squeezing into one of the Dumbos at the Dumbo ride in Disney World with my mom and daughter. Yeah it was a tight squeeze, but it was 3 generations of females making a memory, so it was worth it.

Random Phire RL factoid: This dream was a reality once upon a time almost 11 years ago on a vacation to New Hampshire. That was when my soon to be hubby and I decided we didn't want to wait another year to get married and five weeks later we tied the knot. That vacation turned into our honeymoon. One of these days we will go back, without children.

Phire and Lola-itas

Last night Lola and I went to Genre together and I bossed her around into doing a post (which she hasn't done yet) on our blogs like we did before. You see we are somewhat lazy so doing just our credits works for us. It also means I don't have to remember all the things all the time.
What you don't see in these pictures is the brief period of time that Lola was possessed by a SL demon and her head was spun around. Luckily there was no spewing of pea soup.
Since this is my post I am doing a picture mashup of my dress. Lola should be doing one on her post when she gets around to it. I tried to go doll like with my look, though Lola said my shoes made me look like a hussy. I think she was just jealous!

Tremaine Wicked

You would think that dressing up two ladies would be easy for me, but for some reason I had a hard time with these two. If you didn't know this is Anastasia and Drizella, the wicked step-sisters from Cinderella. Here is a random RL factoid. When we were at Disney World in December we had our picture taken with Cinderella, the prince, Drizella, Anastasia and their mother. Anastasia told my little man that he was a prince because he was being polite. SO maybe they aren't so wicked afterall? A Lost Soul

Today's post is based on a makeup from the Makeup/Tattoo hunt going on at the moment. It is called Lost Soul so I tried to make myself look like a lost soul. I almost look like someone who has risen up from the canals and is wandering the streets.
I chose a white dress because of the contrast it provided and the air of innocence a white dress gives a lady. Since this all started with the makeup I should give you a closer look huh?

Laundry Time

While many Americans are out barbequing I am doing laundry, but my BBQ time will be coming shortly. In SL laundry is optional and I can do it however I want. I mean sure I could have used the dryer, but...

The Farmer's Daughter

It's story time again. This story is all about a farmer, his daughter and a mischievous Faery. Once upon a time there was a farmer who had a beautiful daughter.
This farmer was very protective of his daughter and wanted to keep her safe. On day the father traveled away from the farm to seek help for the local faery. He begged her to keep his daughter safe. The mischievous faery got a twinkle in her eye and assured the farmer she would keep his daughter safe. When the farmer arrived home he couldn't find his daughter. He looked high and low all over the farm. He finally went into his daughter's room and noticed a new snowglobe on the shelf in between her prized lion and unicorn figurines.
He went over for a closer look and what taken aback. Inside the globe was his daughter, trapped in the snowglobe.
Her father is still trying to figure out how to free his daughter from her snowglobe prison. The moral of the story, Faery makes fun pose props, oh and maybe don't ask mischievous faeries for help.
