Music is magic, at least to me it is. You see music can say the words that you can't, it can change your mood, it can inspire you, and it goes on and on. I have found myself listening to music more and more lately. It's not always the same, some days it's classical,other days love songs (I'm mushy like that) and some days when I need that extra kick in the bum it's 80's. My sisters were teenagers in the 80's so I heard it all growing up.
No when I am having a rough time I go to my quiet corner, close my eyes and let the music set my free. I let it wash over me, sweeping away all the worry, all the pain, all the ick of the day.
Is there any better animated love story and heartbreaking and awe inspiring as the love between Ellie and Carl in Up? It's rare that an animated movie can make adults weep the way that movie does. I am getting misty eyed just typing this post. I did my best to capture the magic and love between the two, but that seems to be a challenge I can not measure up to.
Of course in Phireworld Ellie can not measure up to Carl. Okay so I am just really short, but hey there is nothing wrong with a little role reversal...right? Before we start a lively debate on that topic, or not so lively, I shall send forth the credits.
It seems I am always in catch up mode. This week I am catching up with Vanellope, the adorable character from Wreck-It-Ralph. Funny story, my daughter had crazy hair day at school a while back and she wanted her hair to look like Vanellope's. So here is was trying to make candy barrettes for her hair. It wasn't pretty, but she liked them so that is all that mattered. If you haven't watched Wreck-It-Ralph you should check it out. Not only is it cute but the retro game characters will unleash your inner child.
I won't say any more on the movie, because I don't want to give anything away. This has been my attempt at Vanellope, hope you liked it.
It's another Disney Bounding post, and this time it's Flotsam and Jetsam. If you don't know who they are they are the eels that were Ursula's minion in The Little Mermaid. I just did a search for teal in my inventory and went from there. And my picture cohort hit up 100 Block and The Dressing Room Fusion (which you need to hit today if you haven't for the current collection! I had fun visiting a new place to take the pictures, if you haven't picked up the box of landmarks you really should (get them here).
I had to title this post the way I did. I mean look at the first picture for Aladdin and Jasmine. I an not going to admit to how many looks I tried before I settled on this outfit for my Jasmine.
This picture was a total accident. I took one where "Aladdin's" eyes were closed and when I went to take the picture again, my eyes were closed. I hacked them together so that both our eyes were closed. It seems all sweet and loving.
I had been trying to figure out what I wanted to shoot for this theme. I mean I could have gone so many different ways, but in the end I went simple and just stripped. Okay and maybe I wanted to show off my ass a little. There is nothing wrong with that is there? It may have also given me an excuse to wear these panties from Ducknipple.
Pretty dresses and a scary location means a new blog post. Now I will share a super secret secret. Lola and I live together and have set up a little skydome for taking pictures. One day last week she set up the scene that I used for my picture. So I enlisted the help of a friend and we hit up Zodiac for a fair bit of what we are wearing and out pose too!
I probably shouldn't write up blog posts while the kids are playing Lego Batman, it leads to titles like that.
I don't think we could fight crime in these dresses, but I could be wrong. I guess SuperGirl wore a dress like outfit, or at the very least a skirt. This is not about super heroes though. This is about dresses.
I am still working on getting myself into the groove of blogging semi regularly. I think this year there will be more look of the day type posts, since they are easier than other types for me. I won't tell you the steal of a price but I will tell you it also came with another dress in white. Of course I didn't wear that because, well it would be hard to see against my beautiful bovine skin.

Tis the season for holiday parties and who doesn't want to have a drink or twelve. What one drink for every day of Christmas, it makes sense...really! See there are a few different stages of Phire drinking. Stage one is the flirt stage
Blowing kisses to all the good boys and girls around her and possibly professing her love for some of them. It's a platonic love though, not a lets go jump in the sack love I swear! Next is the "I might as well finish the bottle" stage. This is when it looks like there isn't that much booze left and she could totally finish it with ease.
If Phire makes it to that stage then the final stage is not to far behind. The final stage is not so pretty, it's the "Phire can't stand anymore" stage.
At this point it is best just to feed her some Advil and water and tuck her into bed. Poor dear is now full of holiday spirit.

I have come to the conclusion there are two ways to look at Monday, it's either a bright new beginning, or the crappiest day that needs to be stomped into the ground. Luckily I have two Monday Mania items that will fit you, whichever category your Monday falls into.

If you are the bright ant sunny kind of person who sees the beginning of the week as full of possibilities, well most people probably don't like you on Mondays. That doesn't mean you you can't enjoy yourself though and here is the outfit to do it in.
I admit that I of course am quite fond of this set and not only because it is cute and yellow, but because of the awesome customer service I got. See I was having a bit of a problem modding the shoulder straps because SL decided it wanted to change the perms on it. After jotting a quick note to LadyCatherine Fairey, the owner of Butterfly Effectz, she got me a new mod version in no time and suck around to make sure that it hadn't reverted again. Awesome customer service always makes an item that much better in my book.
Okay fair warning I am about to bombard you with pictures and maybe even words. Think of this as part one of two. There is so much to show and so little time left to do it. In this post we will look at the items I bought from Ducknipple, Sn@tch, Material Squirrel and Lolapop!
First up Ducknipple with the Lolapop facial piercing. The boots and dress are both from Ducknipple. The hem of the skirt has three small stars so you know I had to have it. And well I got the boots because one can never have too many pairs of boots and it is for a good cause.
Lolapop has this great facial piercing out at the Alt Fair. Now I will admit normally I am not a piercing kinda girl, well not this much, but since it is mod/copy you can tweak it to suit your tastes. So really it's like a ton of piercings in one.
Now onto the Sn@tch, Material Squirrel and more Lolapop.
As you can see from the pictures the dress from Sn@tch comes with two skirt options, the cute plaid one and the shorter one for those of you who dare to bare. I myself prefer the plaid skirt, but then again I am a chicken like that. The wings from Material Squirrel are the same great quality that ones comes to expect. Oh and for those of you who want to be more Tinkerbell then bitch fairy, there are lighter colors available.
Hey does the decorations on this Lolapop posture collar remind you of anything? That's right kiddies it matches the piercing I worn in the other pictures. Ten points to all of you who noticed. The points don't earn you a damn thing but you can feel cool having them.
Now the nitty gritty. The fair ends on May 2nd, so that means you need to get your ass in gear and get over there. The items from the fair that I featured are all charity items which means either all or part of the proceeds from the sales benefit "Nothing But Nets".
