Channeling Katherine

      When I first saw the combination of this sweater and trousers combo it immediately brought to my mind Katherine Hepburn. I know, I know, I need to lay off the older movies for a while, but I just can't help it. While she may have been wearing a dress, or suit of some sort, I always imagine her in something like this.


      Okay so she most likely wasn't eating toast with a chocolate hazelnut spread and bananas, but this girls loves her chocolate. I don't think I am quite like Katherine, you won't catch me swimming or playing tennis in the mornings. I am a terrible tennis player. We do however share some common ideals, but this is not a political arena so I will leave that be.  This is were we shall part for today. Until next time be a good human.

The Nekomimi Dance

Seeing Double, sorta

      So today I am going to be showing my age. Of course you can see friend and I "twinning", but that isn't the thought that popped into my head. You see when I look at this I am reminded of the old commercials for Doublemint gum. into my head of course popped "Double your pleasure, double your fun.", which not that I think about it sounds really dirty! I of course didn't want to be identical twins, mostly because that would have been a pain. So we went with more similar looks instead. I mean could you imagine a world with two of me? It would be terrifying to say the least.



      As you can see there is a lot that is very much the same going on, but enough difference to keep us our own person.  Maybe we are more of a twinning thing then Doublemint twins, but well...I got nothing.

Daisy Chained

   Daisies, is there any other flower that you can associate love, childhood playfulness and a sense of whimsy with? Okay there may be for you, but not for me. I remember making daisy chain necklaces in my younger days, and the scene in Alice in Wonderland (the animated movie). Of course as I got older I would violently rip the petals from a daisy wondering if he loved me or id he loved me not, and we all know we would fudge it to make it end on he loves me. Then came the science lessons with the colored water and the daisies, causing their petals to change color according to the water color. I am not sure what I was supposed to be learning since I only remembered the flower changing color. Now here I am in a world all my own in a field full of daisies. Maybe it can be my very own wonder land.

Never a Stepford Wife

      I will never be confused for a Stepford wife ever. That doesn't mean that my house isn't clean or my kinds unfed, it just means that I am too bossy. And I will never dye my hair blond, ever. Now it could look like I am holding a nice hot cup of coffee for my husband who will be arriving shortly. But lets be real I probably made that hearty spread for myself. Or maybe I have a guest in town and the breakfast is for them. I can be a pretty good hostess when the need arises, but luckily it's not that often.


      I don't know that look on my face seems to tell a story of it's own. Who am I kidding I would totally make a breakfast like this for my husband, if I ever got up before him.

Say Cheese Mother Nature

      When I was first learning how to use windlights and how to edit pictures a friend had me start out with sunsets. I can still remember what he first taught me and I have added to my skill list, even if I don't use them that often. They have helped me to same some family photos from terrible lighting and the dreaded red eye. In my non-digital life I recently was gifted a nice new camera. I am by no means a great photographer, but I do enjoy snapping away.


      I haven't had a chance to head to the beach with it yet, but I did use it for some event planning I did. Hopefully I will get some much needed beach time soon. If I do maybe I will share them on Flickr.

One of my favorite places

There is a place near me in my non-digital life that I love to visit. You get the best of old historic sites mixed with modern shops and restaurants. Whenever I visit, which is as often as possible, I am always discovering new hidden treasures. Of course there are a few must visits, like a bar owned by an old hippy that sells pirates grog. It tastes like a boozy apple pie, I may have indulged a little too much one time and asked a guy if I could touch his snake. It sounds dirtier than it was, he had his pet boa constrictor around his neck. I am rambling here I am sorry. Whenever I visit it is always full of laughs.


And yes in my non digital life in the south I am still just as pale as my digital life picture shows. It takes hard work to stay looking like Casper the Friendly Ghost!

Beachy Dreams

      I swear I am not always napping in my pictures lately. I may look asleep, but actually I am deep in thought. I am probably thinking that it is going to start storming any minute now. That is the reality of where I live. Summer means afternoon thunderstorms on a daily basis. Sure there are days that are all day sun, but those are few and far between right now. At least it's always sunny in my digital life if I want it to be. As a matter of fact as I write this post I can hear the occasional rumble of thunder (in between songs mostly) hopefully the power won't blip like it did the other day.  You didn't come here to listen to me whine about the weather.

Elf work is hard

       Can anything beat a mid-day nap, I mean other than a liquid lunch. That's right I blog for the first time in a month and it's all about booze and sleeping. Hey a girl has her priorities. I would love to say I didn't blog because I was off doing something really awesome, but the truth is my mess of an inventory scared me so much I was crippled by it. Wedding Season

      May and June are always chock full of celebration's that it can get exhausting. Not only do you have graduations, but there are weddings around every corner. Sometime you are a guest and other times you are in the bridal party. That means photos, and lots of them. You do your duty for as long as you possibly can, but then you just need to let loose. Maybe while you picture partner is looking pretty for the camera you can give a quick wink to the hottie best man.


      If you are lucky you won't get caught by  the photographer. I don't suggest doing such at a graduation party, unless they are finished with college. In that case flirt away!

She Who Runs Wild

      There once was a drow who was unlike any other. She was born with strange red marking upon her skin that no one could seem to translate. As she grew older she didn't seem to favor the typical drow way of life. For starters she was far kinder and had an affinity for animals, big ones, like the snarling wolves of the forest. She would spend all her time there with them.



      Once day a wise drow from another tribe came to see hers. When he saw her markings he couldn't believe his eyes. He had only ever seen the markings once before. He walked up to her and asked he if she knew what her markings meant. "They mean she who runs wild, at least that is what I believe it to say." He relied, "No my child those markings mean you were touched by the light. You will never fit in with drow society for you do not have the darkness within you that we all possess. To say she was stunned was an understatement. In her sadness she fled to the forest to seek comfort with the only creatures who had ever loved her, the wolves.

The Broccoli and the Mershroom

      Once upon a time in a far off universe there lived a glamorous purple broccoli named Petunia. Petunia loved to go to the beach to relax ignore the whole world.



      Petunia could only stand so much reading till she got restless. Now wanting to get her freshly fluffed florets wet she decided to walk along the beach. While she was wandering the beach she noticed something in the distance. Now she had heard tales of magical creatures living in the water that were half fish and half mushroom, but she always believed them to be tales for children. There was no way such a thing could exist right? Well she found out that day that not only were they real, they were friendly too.



   Petunia introduced herself to the mershroom. She found out his name was Mervin and was excited to meet someone new. The two spent the rest of the day and into the night chatting. When the moon was high in the sky they started to tell each other spooky stories. Mervin told Petunia a tale of a land where mad creature put broccoli in bags and then put them into a weird oven sort of thing until they become soft. The worst part of all was that these strange creature would then eat the broccoli! Not to be outdone Petunia told Mervin a story about a land of strange giants. These giants loved nothing more than to put sliced up mushrooms and small little fish on dough with other things, shove it all in an oven, and then devour it. These giants called it pizza and it was a doughy circle of doom! After there horrified chills ended the spent the rest of the night staring at the stars, becoming the best of friends.

A Girl and her Bear

      I am sure many of you have seen Toy Story, have read or been read The Velveteen Rabbit, or maybe you saw the movie Ted. Well this story is kind of like squishing all of those together. You see there once was a little girl who loved ballet. While her aunt was out shopping one day she came across a poseable bear in a tutu and thought it would be perfect for her niece.



      The little girl was very serious when it came to her ballet practice, but she loved having her bear do the moves with her. Over time the bear started to move on it's own. It would copy the little girl's dance moves as she practiced. The little girl realized she must have a magical bear! As time went on the little bear improved it's ballet skills and started showing off for the little girl.



      The little girl was astonished and tried to tell her aunt and mother about her magical bear, but whenever she tried to show them the bear just stood still. Now one but the little girl saw the bear dance on it's own. Over time the little girl grew and became a famous ballerina, and her bear was always with her, watching and learning so they could dance together.

That girl is poison

      I have been listening to an insane amount of music from the 90's lately. Don't judge it helps me get work done. So when Sakura returned to pose making and named her booty poses after me I knew exactly what to do. I decided to mesh together two different poison references in the post. If you can't figure them out I will help you, I am nice like that some days. You see my outfit and hair are a subtle homage to Poison Ivy, the comic book character, not the Uma Thurman movie version. The other bit is if you look closely, but not pervy close, you will see I have a big butt and a smile. While I would like to pretend all you readers are old enough to know the song Poison by Bel Biv DeVoe, you may not. One of the lines from that song is "You never trust a big butt and a smile.", it always made me giggle a little. If you don't know the song do yourself a favor and head over to YouTube and look it up. Goddess or Madonna Costume Reject

      Have you ever been sorting your inventory and then just started playing with the clothes that you have, or recently gained? That is how this post came about. While I had time I hit up some of the events that are and were going on. I am a pose junkie so of course I hit the Pose Fair. I am also have a mild obsession with gachas, so it hit up Lootbox too.



      As I slowly started adding pieces I thought I looked Goddess-like, and a little under-dressed, even if everything is all covered up. So I went to visit some friends to get their opinion. As I was standing there I realized I had a sort of Madonna vibe going on. Not the virgin one, the like a virgin one.


      When I visited friends I did have bright red lips, so it was a little more startling than the tamer color they are in the final pictures. The robe as you can see is sheer so I went with a thong underneath because, well I can be a little on the modest side. You know says the lady whose boobs are only covered by silver shields. Well you can't win them all can ya?

Hard at Work

I have been a little quieter than I like lately. That is because I have been working in my non-digital life and haven't quite found the work/fun balance yet. Also sorting through data all day makes a person not want to look at the computer again, at least for me. I decided that I would make my SLife look like my non-digital life for these pictures. I mean there are a few differences. In this picture there are no cats trying to get cuddles while I work.


Luckily I work from home which is why there are cats and the occasional NSFW outfits. I do have to be covered up somewhat since my desk faces the front door. No one needs to come to the door and be greeted by a barely covered me. I may scar the pizza guy for life!

Beach Time

     After the start to the week I have had I could use a little soothing beach time. I mean there is no way I am going to go into the water, I am not crazy like my small humans. The sound of the ocean always recharges me and we have had a couple days when it has reached the 80's no the beach isn't too bad of an idea. The problem is the nice beach time always seems to fall during the week. Sometimes being a responsible adult is hard work. Wanna know what was easy? I'm gonna tell you anyways. Buying new skins at the Skin Fair when it was happening was easy. Getting the time to write about them, not so much.


    It seems even in my digital life I still care about sun protection. This skin is that kind of tan that lucky people are blessed with. Me, if I were to go out in the sun with my non-digital skin peoples faces would melt off because of the sun reflecting of the glowing paleness that is me. My little humans call me a vampire for a reason and it is no from a thirst for blood. Oh before I forget, there will be a special surprise on the blog soon, so stay tuned!

Snow White's Secret Cottage

   Men have their man caves and women their she sheds. Well imagine being a princess who spent time in a cottage with animal helpers and little me. I imagine moving to a large palace with people all around could become quite tiresome for someone like Snow White. So little known to the Prince, the guards or anyone else she kept a little cottage in the woods where she could escape to when she needed.

   She had many helpers to keep her quaint cottage looking neat and tidy. The biggest helpers were the bunnies. They each had jobs that they took very seriously to keep the cottage in order.


   Sometimes they were a bit clumsy, but then again everyone has and off day now and then. No bunny is perfect after all. Sometimes they ever shrunk the laundry, but Snow White didn't mind. She was just happy to have a quiet retreat to sneak off to.


   If only the staff at the castle were as hard working as the bunnies!

Quiet Afternoon

Living in the southern part of the United States I don't have to worry about snow or other wintery nastiness. That means I get to spend more time outside, which is a lovely thing. This is what a typical afternoon would look like, well with a few changes. For starters it would be one of the kids hanging out with me, and they would be drinking something other than coffee. And to be honest I would probably be reading on a Kindle or using a tablet. Okay the girl child and I would be wearing Disney hoodies instead of sweaters, but otherwise it's totally a normal afternoon.

Game Night

I can't remember if I mentioned this before or not, but I have been playing RPG in my non-digital life for almost two years now. It was all new to me as I never played D&D or anything like it when I was a kid. The (mostly) guys that I play with have all been doing this since their youth so I was completely clueless. Every year we pick some sort of gaming system and setting. This year we are taking turns being the GM/DM. The first game we played I chose to be a bard. I basically just wanted to make up bawdy songs for my own amusement. As usual I had help creating my character so she is a whip wielding, lute playing half-elf bard.



This is what happens with the non-digital Mister helps me create a character. In fact I am wearing more clothes that I think my character does. This past weekend I didn't get to use her because the group was so small we decided to do a one off game. Guess who got to the the GM/DM, that's right this girl. It was my first time ever and luckily I didn't do as terribly as I had thought. Fine there were only four people instead of the usual ten or so, but that made it easier on me! Now I have revealed my not so secret nerdy side, lets move onto the credits.
