Bringing Work Home

When I under the weather I watched A LOT of Netflix. My viewing choices seemed to run towards British period shows. In fact I just finished watching all of Poirot,which is based on Agatha Christie's stories. When I was styling this look I was thinking about Monsieur Poirot's secretary Miss Lemon. Sometimes she had to go off and do some investigating of her own to help out. I imagine after working for Hercule Poirot all day she would be exhausted!

Now because of this television series I need to read as many stories as possible!

Auburn in Autumn

Hi everyone! I know it has been quite a while. I have been feeling less than stellar, but I won't bore you with all the details. Needless to say I am back in action, though it may be a bit sporadic at first. Since I was away I sadly missed out on some events and such so I that was one of the first things I have done since getting back. I have been shopping up a storm! This is just a small sample of my shopping lately, I still have a long wish list to work through.

Autumn is my favorite season and unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy it in my non digital life so I am going to make up for it in my digital one! I tired to go for a comfortable look for the imagined crisper air.

Golden Afternoon

One of my favorite things about SL is that it can be whatever season I want it to be. My favorite season is autumn and so with very little help from me, my darling dear set up a fall hideaway for us. I couldn't resist using it for pictures and since he is such a good sport he agreed. I had been waiting for just the right place to take some picnic pictures and this was it.

Neither of us are really big drinkers, but we couldn't resist a little bubbly. Just like one would expect the bubbles went straight to our heads and we got silly.

I will probably be taking tons of pictures up there even if summer is just starting where I live.

The Muse

Everyone has their own idea of what a Muse is. There are the Greek mythological goddesses and there are the more human forms as well, such as a lover. We have all dealt with the lack of inspiration before and it can be quite frustrating to be certain. Take this poor soul for instance. His Muse is no where to be found thus leaving him annoyed and rapidly approaching his deadline.

Where can his Muse have gone? You can't expect a Muse to be on call all day every day now can you? They deserve a break too. Sometimes they are away on vacations and other times it's just a quick coffee break.

In this case she was just getting a quick cup of coffee. Even the Muse has a boss though and he ordered her back to work right away. No rest for those that inspire I guess.

The Muse sprinkles her magic dust upon her charge and he is off to work again. he has yet to miss a deadline while in her care and he most likely never will. She will always be on hand to inspire him, even if she cuts it a little close.

My New Furry Friend

Every days it's the same thing. He goes off to work and I am left all alone. I mean sure I get things done while he is gone, but it gets lonely, especially when he works late or goes on trips.

I mean we have a cat, but she is so independent and well just downright mean that I decided we needed a new member of the family. A furry member of course, so off I went. I have to say when I saw him it was love at first sight and I knew exactly what to name him.

Meet Topper! He is named after an old black and white movie with Cary Grant, one of my favorites actually. In fact we watched it just the other night. I don't have to worry about Topper going to work. In fact as long as I walk him and feed him and scratch him behind his floppy ears he sticks to my side.

Mean Grrrreen

I couldn't decide where I wanted to take my pictures for this look so I went with just a plain background. Lola took me out shopping this weekend and she picked up a sexy little look while I picked this. This dress is great because if you wanted to be a little more casual you could wear it with pants. Oh and panties, I suggest you always wear panties, unless you nether bits need a good airing out. The hair is one of the newest releases from Exile, and is quickly becoming a favorite. I am trying hard not to wear it in every post.

Pallets Are Cool

As I was wandering the other day I came upon a pile of pallets and since pallets are so cool and hip I stood on them for pictures. It's just the way my brain works it seems. I also tried to pull all the colors from the sweater into the rest of the look right down to the smaller details, like the necklace.
Even my glasses were keeping with the color scheme, though tortoise shell and leopard print aren't exactly the same thing huh? Oh well it's the thought that counts. Now onto the credits!

In Dreams...

... I can pull off a short hair cut.
I know it seems like something silly to dream of, but sometimes when I see someone with a cute pixie cut or something similar I wish I could pull it off. Sadly I know how RL me looks with short hair and it is not pretty.
This short hair however looks fantastic on me. I feel quite posh with the short hair, and I don't mean in a Spice Girls kind of way either. Maybe it the shades giving me that feeling? I think I need more coffee so I am going to go make some while you check out the credits.

Phire and Lola-itas

Last night Lola and I went to Genre together and I bossed her around into doing a post (which she hasn't done yet) on our blogs like we did before. You see we are somewhat lazy so doing just our credits works for us. It also means I don't have to remember all the things all the time.
What you don't see in these pictures is the brief period of time that Lola was possessed by a SL demon and her head was spun around. Luckily there was no spewing of pea soup.

Wannabe Smurfette

There is newness at We ♥ Roleplay this month. I was playing with a skin that is available. It's blue, and well it was suggested I be an alien, but then my inner child spoke up.
I wanted to be Smurfette! It may have stemmed from all the recent ads I have seen for the upcoming second Smurfs movie. It's fun taking something that one person sees as being perfect for one thing and turning it into something all your own. You understand what I am getting at right? Anyway here is my Smurfy face.

Escaping the Darkness

I should have known better than to wear a little white dress. This is my "Sheer Anything" post for the 50 Shades of Sexy blogger challenge. I decided to think outside of the box on this one. And like usual I sent my super sleuth off to find me the perfect hair. Of course since this is supposed to be about the lingerie let me give you a closer look.


I look a wee bit wet and bedraggled. Guess it is time to head home and dry off.

LOTD - Purple

This look started off innocently enough with the tank top. Then my wanna be bad ass side came out to play. It doesn't happen unplanned all that often, but when it does it goes full out. I ended up running out to buy the earrings because nothing I had seemed to fit. I did have everything else on hand though. See alone none of it is tough looking, but put it all together and BOOM...badassedness. Yeah I know it's not a real word, lets just pretend okay? Here are the credits so you can get your badass on!
