Picnic Time

I thought it was time to drag Bunny out for a picnic. She was a bit on the reluctant side. Okay she was downright cranky about it, but she still agreed. Now normally in my posts I don't mention designers by name, but this time I am. Don't fear it's for a totally good reason. You see the cute pose I have going on here. Well I wouldn't have been able to take the picture if it weren't for Luna, the owner of !bang. You see the vendor spit out the wrong pose when I bought it and as soon as I let her know she sent me the proper pose and made things all better. Witch of the Sea

Anyone can be a mermaid but it takes some one truly...special to become a sea witch. This witch does not have any issue with the denizens of the sea, it's those who float above the surface that she loathes. She has her reasons for being less than thrilled with sailors upon the sea. She once was a kind and gentle soul until a sailor broke her heart. She made a deal with the Goddess of the Sea to be able to find and punish the sailor who broke her heart. She then went on to avenge the broken hearts these sailors caused around the world, causing their ships to wreck, losing not only their cargo, but theirs lives as well.

She has many necklaces, each of them contains a piece of the ship that she has visited her wrath upon. They are her trophies. Maybe one say someone can break through her hardened heart and make her love again. Till then sailors should beware.

Haunting

I will admit I am a big Game of Thrones fan so when I heard about The Conquest event I got very excited. I combined a few different people in my head to create the idea for this picture. You see I was going for the spirit of a woman haunting the ruins of her ancestral home. I don't want to say any more than that because I would hate to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read or seen the series.

Seven Deadly Sisters - Gluttony and Sloth

Gluttony and Sloth are the sisters of the day. They get along much better than Pride and Envy, mostly because Sloth doesn't care what sort of mess Gluttony makes and can't be assed to clean anyway. Gluttony likes to over indulge in all the good, and not so good things.

Gluttony is never seen without some sort of food in her mouth, in this case it is a cake pop. Though to be truthful it's not just food you will find Gluttony with, at times she can be seen with whatever alcohol laden drink she can get her hands on.

It's amazing that I could get Sloth off the couch long enough to stand and get a picture taken. Of course she left her sleep mask on because well taking it off would require effort. Sloth can usually be found lounging about doing as little as possible, which lets be honest would be nice to be able to do some days. Tomorrow we will take a look at Lust and Greed, the symbiotic sisters.

Winter's Bride

When I saw this dress with the crown and veil it made me think of a bride getting married in the winter. Between the white and silver it just made me think of snow and ice. Since it is winter (at least in this hemisphere) I thought it made sense to wear the sleeves with the dress, but if you are a sleeveless kind of gal they are optional. The veil and crown are optional, but they are like the icing on the cake.

I just love the way all the pieces work together and I do feel like a beautiful wintery bride.

A Secret Love Affair

One was a servant in an foreboding castle while the other served one of the wealthy merchants in the town. They were separated almost all the time, their only contact brief and in passing.

I have been trying to start the New Year with a neater inventory, of course I get a little distracted. That is what happened here. I was putting things away, saw this dress and was knew I just had to do something Annie-ish. I remembered I had this hair from when I was Merida a while back, so I did what any warped mind would do...I made Annie a drinker.

Sailing Away

Dress for a day out sailing he said. Well I went all cute and nautical because well that seemed to make sense. How was I supposed to know he had more of shorts and sneakers in mind? Whatever though I looked cute in my dress and heels.

He did warn me not to stand so close to the edge with the deck being wet and everything it makes it really slippery...

Golden Afternoon

One of my favorite things about SL is that it can be whatever season I want it to be. My favorite season is autumn and so with very little help from me, my darling dear set up a fall hideaway for us. I couldn't resist using it for pictures and since he is such a good sport he agreed. I had been waiting for just the right place to take some picnic pictures and this was it.

Neither of us are really big drinkers, but we couldn't resist a little bubbly. Just like one would expect the bubbles went straight to our heads and we got silly.

I will probably be taking tons of pictures up there even if summer is just starting where I live.

The Spirit of the Forest

She guards the Spirit of the Forest with her life. Without it the forest would fall to ruin and there are those out there who are determined to get it and she is willing to give her life protecting it. Suddenly she hears a sound off in the distance of trees being ripped from the ground and quickly flees.

She runs and runs until she feels she is safely away to stop and take a breath. She listens to see if she is being followed but the unseen forces.

She is safe for now, but she must find a safe place to hide for the time being. Hopefully she will find it somewhere.

Pretty Nude

Haha I am not nude, I am just referring to the color, sorry for getting your hopes up. I took myself on a little trip. It was just a day trip, but it was still a lovely one. Mean Grrrreen

I couldn't decide where I wanted to take my pictures for this look so I went with just a plain background. Lola took me out shopping this weekend and she picked up a sexy little look while I picked this. This dress is great because if you wanted to be a little more casual you could wear it with pants. Mother of the Ice Dragon

I may have not laid the egg that my dragon baby came from, but she is my baby none the less. It's hard work being a mother to a dragon, especially one that doesn't breathe fire. Oh no, this little ice baby prefers freezing temps and spits razor sharp icicles instead of fire.
Instead of roasting her food, she prefers it frozen. Her own little meatcicles. Luckily I have adapted to the cold so my sweet dragon baby can live in comfort.
I can always tell the mood of my sweet baby girl because her eyes change colors. At the moment they are and icey shade meaning that she is quite content at the moment.

Paperdolls - Day Two

Today is day two of my paperdoll doppelganger series. This one shows my obvious love of stars. It was hard not to let my favorite creep in when I was doing these dolls originally.
I came pretty darn close with the shirts and skirt today. And yes I went old school prim with that skirt. Hey I work with what I can find.

Look of the Day - Black and White

Even though this is a look of the day post it isn't the look I was wearing today. I actually took these last week, but got so busy with RL that I never got a chance to post it. I pulled out a whole bunch of stuff that I had in my inventory and just really liked the look so I thought I would share it.
Of course this look also gave me an excuse to wear this necklace and earring set. I almost never wear earring either so this is a change for me. It's not that I don't like them, it's just I kinda forget. I never really think about earrings in RL because my studs never really come out. That is all I can think of without coffee this morning.

Orange for Unity Day

So today I am going to get deeper and more personal than I normally do. Today happens to be Unity Day, to unite to stop bullying. October isn't just Breast Cancer Awareness month, it is also National Bullying Prevention Month. Instead of wearing pink though the color for Bullying Prevention is orange.
I was teased when I was a kid and it sucked, however it doesn't come close to what kids go through now a days, and at a younger age too. Last year my son was bullied to the point where he was threatening suicide, he was only 9 at the time. Now I know that he would never hurt himself, but it is scary as a parent hearing that from your child. He is different than other kids his age and it's not his fault, but they just saw him as being different and bullied him till he couldn't take it anymore. We pulled him from that school and did all we could to move to a better school system and so far things have been a million times better.
If you see someone being bullied, speak up! You never know, you could be saving a life.

A day at the lake

I took myself out to a lake for a little rest and relaxation. A little row around in the crisp autumn air on a sunny day is quite invigorating. Once we got to land again I heard the unmistakable sound for frogs, so I thought it would be fun to try and catch one. I happen to love frogs, mini me on the other hand not to much.
She got a little startled by the frog in her face, maybe next time I should start with something small like a red-eyed tree frog. Or maybe take her to see some colorful poison dart frogs.

Arts and Crafts Time

It's arts and crafts time today. Now I am not a scrapbooker, but you wouldn't know that from looking at this picture. What I really am is and arts and crafts supply hoarder. You never know when you may need some cute tape or cut out shapes or stickers. Stamps and paint can come in handy when you are bored. I did however make two cute collages for this post, on full of pictures of my and my slister Lola and one of me and my Lillie.
I figured since my art supplies and shoes were from The Arcade that I should go all out. So my necklace and hair are also from The Arcade. Lola got the necklace for me because it combines two of my favorite things, frogs and yellow. I am pretty sure I have wore this hair in other posts already, but I love it and this color is my favorite of the moment.
