Lazing about

I don't know about you, but I am beat from this weekend! So many sales and events all seemed to start at once. My girl Lola took me to Kustom9 and I will be honest I had never been. Hey it's hard to keep all these events straight.
I am a sucker for big cozy sweaters in RL and in SL so of course I had to play the gacha machine at Kustom9 and one of the colors I got was this lovely minty color. I think mint is my favorite color, behind yellow of course. I also picked up the pants you see me wearing. One can never have too many pairs of pants in my opinion.
While there I also played the gacha to get these birds that are made from keyboard keys. They are odd and quirky and seemed just like the thing to have in my bedroom. Now I must go sort through all the other goodies I got so I can get around to blogging them too.

Get Spooky

Halloween is approaching so I am giving it a big hug! I went to the Color Me Monthly Market again because this months color is black. Prefect for a spoookie oookie Halloween look.
The grown ups in your life can get a picture for the wall or a big black kitty to decorate the house with...or you can get the kitty 'cause there is a snuggleable version too!

Orange for Unity Day

So today I am going to get deeper and more personal than I normally do. Today happens to be Unity Day, to unite to stop bullying. October isn't just Breast Cancer Awareness month, it is also National Bullying Prevention Month. Instead of wearing pink though the color for Bullying Prevention is orange.
I was teased when I was a kid and it sucked, however it doesn't come close to what kids go through now a days, and at a younger age too. Last year my son was bullied to the point where he was threatening suicide, he was only 9 at the time. Now I know that he would never hurt himself, but it is scary as a parent hearing that from your child. He is different than other kids his age and it's not his fault, but they just saw him as being different and bullied him till he couldn't take it anymore. We pulled him from that school and did all we could to move to a better school system and so far things have been a million times better.
If you see someone being bullied, speak up! You never know, you could be saving a life.

The Sorceress and daughter

There once was a kind and powerful Sorceress. She only used her powers to help others, much to the dismay of the other Sorceresses around. One day she had to go pick up a few supplies from the local Wizard and decided it was time for her daughter to come along and start her training.
The Wizard had all the supplies the Sorceress was looking for, even the unicorn tears which are extremely hard to come by. So it was time to head home. The Sorceress scooped her daughter up..
...and off they headed towards home to brew up a special potion. What that potion was I can not say, but I am guessing it was something powerful.
