Paperdolls - Day Four

Today is a retro look. I got a little creative with the belt on this one. Well I guess wearing it backwards isn't all that creative, but it worked.
I didn't take the time to pull out my scooter for the pictures because I think I took them on a restart Tuesday and was being chased around the grid. One thing I don't always have is patience. If I did my pictures would probably be more epic than these.

What is black and white and red all over?

It has been a while since I have done a straight up look of the day type post so you get one today. I have no idea what I was doing to cause this look to come together, but I liked it so much I had to share it. It's got sort of a retro feel to it, at least I think so. I should write more, but my brain is fried from it being the kids first day of school.

Mr Smee is Me!

That's right today I am dressed and Captain Hook's faithful companion. I am still a little behind on the Disney Bounding posts, but I am catching up. I of course took some liberties with Mr. Smee, you know given that he is a chubby man and I am neither of those. I did however find a nice ship to take my pictures on, that is something, right?
I had a lot of fun dressing as Mr. Smee and think I ended up looking pretty darn cute.

Reading in Thistle

So it has been umm....a lot of weeks since I have done one of the 52 weeks of color challenge post. To be honest I was feeling pretty down about doing them once my color partner left. I'm on a boat!

In Phire fantasy land I was invited onto a yacht. Of course I said yes, I mean who wouldn't right?

At first I was a little nervous. I mean I am a decent swimmer, but I didn't exactly have my sea legs.

 Well we busted out the champagne and that is when I started to loosen up. Yeah I think I just called myself loose. Oh well, no real shame in that.

Well okay the look on my face in this picture could be considered cause some shame, but does anyone really look fabulous when laughing like a loon? This could be why my friends don't let me out of my skybox often.....

Another two for one

Today we have another 52 weeks of color post as well as new hair. This weeks color was patriarch and well it's not exactly a common color. So I went east on myself and did purple, well purples as there is more than one in the skirt. That should cover it don't you think? And of course I had to wear new hair and in red because well I can. Actually if you knew me for the first year or so in SL you would never seen me in any other color hair. It was always red.

Kavar (the brains behind Exile for those of you who don't know)makes such amazing wavy long hair. I will stop there before I gush more and look like a tool. Have a happy weekend.

Mauve in the shade

Nothing like sitting under the shade of a tree on a sunny summer day. If it were RL me I would be under the tree with my kindle reading. Too bad were haven't had a sunny rain free day here since Tuesday. Anyway this is just a cute little picture for the 52 weeks of color challenge and it gave me a chance to use a new pose from Studio Sidhe and new hair. Oh speaking of new hair the hair fair starts soon and there is a free demo group to join. I love love love when there are demo groups so I don't have to fight the crowds to get demos. Quiet down now students because Miss Phire is going to teach you something. What I don't know but she will teach you and you will learn.

You over there I said pay attention! Don't make me send you don't want detention do you? Today's lesson is on Phire's latest favorite thing, pencil skirts. They are great because you can make them look sexy or classy. Today a classier look to go with the new shoes from Shiny Things. I promise tomorrow there will be no pencil skirt. Today's pencil skirt however is one of the item from the PCF event. I do love pretty things for good causes, and this skirt is pretty with it's flowers.

So umber was a little harder to find then I had expected. But then 50L Friday happened and Whippet and Buck made things easy for me with a whole slew of options. I picked this cute shirt that looks all plain and ordinary from the from but....

...when you turn around, bam cute ties and lace. So you know I am a feminine girly hunter.

Back in action

I'm baaaaack. Now that all my knee issues are out of the way I can get back to blogging and this is my first post surgery post! I am breaking my own rules here and posting pictures with shadows. I told myself I wouldn't do it but I couldn't help myself.

Wannabe Hipster

This look took on a life of its own the other night. It all started innocently enough with the shirt. I was trying to get a look together for an event (which I missed because I went to sleep instead)and the theme was geeks. Then 50L Friday hit and League had out this scarf and the colors went so well with the jeans, shirt and shoes.

Toss on some hair, a chunky ring(just because I love them) and some glasses and the look of a wannabe hipster was born. The labor was long, but I love my little wannabe.

Happy Mother's Day

It's officially Mother's Day here on the east coast, so to all you moms out there Happy Mother's Day! Here is my tip for anyone who hasn't gotten their mom a gift yet. Get her a tiara, it doesn't need to be fancy, a little plastic one will work. It will let her know she is queen and you should treat her as such. Or if she is like me, give her something to wear while doing housework.


See a tiara makes even the most loathsome chore tolerable. Oh a word of warning to the mommies out there who do chores in a tiara, don't forget to take it off before you leave the house, unless you can handle the weird looks you get.

Thank goodness for iPods

You may be asking yourself what the hell an iPod has to do with fashion and I don't blame you. See I always check my email(on my iPod) before bed because I hate to miss a thing and last night there was an offline subscribo message from Apple May Designs about a new release promo. In the message there was a link to the store website so of course I clicked it. I think showed it to Mr. Phire and asked what he thought, to which he responed "Smexy you should get it". It happened that this dress is an XStreet promo so I bought it. And that is why I titled this post what I did. Now I am betting you want to see this "smexy" dress huh?


Here it is in the mini skirt version. Which Mr. Phire thought was perfect for going out to clubs, and I can't say I disagree.


Here is the dress with the ruffled skirt. I think the ruffle skirt is a little more fun then the mini, but that is just my opinion.



As for the accessories I kept it pretty simple with the jewelry but made up for that with the shoes. I know these shoes have been all over the blogs lately but that is well deserved. It took me no time to get the feet tinted to the right color which is a huge plus in my book. The HUDs that comes with these shoes make things so easy, and so many options too!

Jammie Party!

Last night was the Slumber Party at ~silentsparrow~ and boy was it fun! There were bodies plopped all over the ground in front of the screen as we all watched, out of sync of course, Pretty in Pink. Some people were seeing the movie for the first time...that's right Sakura I am totally calling you out. Anyway I thought I would share my look from the party because frankly I thought I was adorable.


Yes I have elf ears. I couldn't help myself they have frogs and I love frogs. I even had pet frogs once, they were named Shaggy and Scooby. I also have my dollie, quite a few people had a friend with them at the slumber party last night. It was kind of cute to see grown men with plushie little friends.

Even Sakura brought a friend and I got to know it a little to well when she squished me last night. Never has the movie Pretty in Pink seemed so long!

Winding down on the Fourth

I couldn't let the fourth of July go by without busting out some red, white, and blue. I did however decide to forgo the stars and stripes because they are just not me, in either life! So there is am watching the sun set of the shining sea, maybe behind me are some majestic purple mountains for amber waves of grain. Hehe see what I did there, pretty witty, or maybe a cheesy. Any who my dress is a nice combination of muted reds and blues mix in with some white. I think I look ready for a backyard picnic in the Hamptons maybe.
