Followed by a Nightmare

              Have you ever had a bad dream that woke you up, a terrifying nightmare that you just can't shake? I know I have, it feels almost like there is a dark cloud over your head. Maybe it isn't a dark cloud, maybe, just maybe, that nightmare is a thing. A haunting creature that stalks you throughout your day.



             Even the sweetest and kindest of us are not immune to nightmares. How does one beat a phantom? Does it take happiness to defeat this foe? Or could it just be that after time the Nightmare simply fades into obscurity? Whatever you do, fight hard and don't let the Nightmares win!

Mix and Match

I promise the title of the post will make sense when we get down to the credits. Well I guess from a quick glance you can see we are wearing the same sweater, just in different colors. The outfit comes with just the sweater or the sweater and skirt. I wasn't in the mood for a skirt. Luckily Bunny is always willing to be the girlier of the two of us, so she wore the skirted version. I think she looked more spring-like, though I look like a bee, so maybe we both nailed the spring thing. I don't have anything really brilliant to add today, so I will move onto the credits. Watching and waiting

It seems like this is what I spend most days doing, watching and waiting. I watch the clock change the hour and I wait for you. Will this be the time that you appear, or shall I be left waiting longer still?

That sounds deep and thoughtful. Really it just made for a good picture. You see I wanted to look almost like a princess, but not be a princess. I could sit here and write a whole long story about who she is and the person she is waiting for, but you came here for the clothes, and other pretties. Since that is what you are here for and not my wit and wonder (unless you are then I love you) there are the credits so you too can be a pretty lady waiting for someone.

The finale

While Eddie stood there freezing his marbles off a figure appeared all clothed in black. Eddie couldn't get a glimpse of her face as it was hidden from sight. This spirit took Eddie buy the collar and started him on his journey of discovery. If you hadn't guessed by now, she was about to show him is future.


Their first stop was to a party full of women. You would think this was Eddie's dream of a future but you would be mistaken. The women of this party were drinking, dancing and being full of cheer. Slowly it dawned on Eddie that all these women were his former conquests all gathered together. He asked the spirit why they were all gathered together and dancing merrily. Before he received an answer the party had faded away and they were standing in a graveyard.


The spirit spoke not a word but just pointed. Eddie followed to where she pointed and to his horror he saw his own headstone and freshly dug grave.

Eddie put two and two together and realized all those women were celebrating his death! Eddie fell to the specters feet and swore he would change his womanizing ways and be a better man.
When Eddie awoke the next morning he kept true to his word and started treating women vastly better. They were no longer object for his own amusement. Now the only heart to get broken is Eddie's, but maybe some day he will find his true love.

Part the Second

Later that evening as Eddie was asleep a glowing pale figure appeared in his room. She stood over his bed an watched him sleep until her mere presence awoke the slumbering Eddie.


Instead of fear or worry he greeted his nocturnal visitor with a " Damn! Who are you babe?", for even in the middle of the night he was checking ladies out. The vision in white replied "I am here to show you your past, so take hold of my hand and our journey shall begin.

She took him back to see his very first love, the typical pigtailed little girl from kindergarten. They travel through his middle school crushes and girlfriends. There adventure ever took them to his freshman year of college where he meet the one girl who broke his heart. After this last visit they returned to Eddie's palatial apartment and the specter faded into the night without another word. Eddie convinced himself it was nothing but a dream and promptly fell back asleep.

Mr Grant and I headed out for a day of sunshine. Mr. Grant it my dog, you see he is named after one of my favorite old actors, Cary Grant. There was just something about him in his films, but that is neither here nor there. Since my non digital life has been holding me hostage I have been hitting up events right before they close. Secret Training

I may like to dress as a pretty princess, but in truth that is not really me. I have already realized that if I ever got super powers I would end up a super villain. So it should be a surprise that I was caught readying up on how to be an Evil Queen.

Of course no one needs to see my face when I am reading the book. I mean that would completely give away my plan for Evil Queen world domination.

One of the first lessons in the book was to practice an evil glare. I wanted to try something subtle, though maybe next time I should add a snarl to it? Hmm I think I will have to work on my evil looks some more.

Livy's Diner

I got the honor to watch my little niece Livy the other night. Her parents needed an overnight sitter and I got the honor. Right before bedtime she wanted to show me the new diner playset that her parents bought her. And of course as with and imaginative little kid she wanted to make me something tasty to eat in her diner. Being a well trained chef she made sure she washed her hands before cooking anything.

As you can see I am rocking some cute sheep slippers, but they are nothing compared to the ones Livy wore. After washing her hands she hit the fridge to get some pretend food out to cook me her latest culinary creation.

Do you see those little dragon feet slippers she is wearing? You know you wish you had your own dragon slippers don't ya? Anyway I must say that Livy runs the best pretend diner with the tastiest pretend food creations ever. Hey I am an Aunt I am allowed to say that.

The Poetry Muses

I like to thinks that there are muses for all sorts of things, like poetry. I also like to think they are specialized and need to recharge their musing powers. For today I have selected three of the poetry muses. First we will look at the one who inspires poems about the woods and tress and such.

When this muse needs to recharge she seeks refuge in the forest surrounded but all the trees. She communes with the trees and after a while she feels rested and rejuvenated enough to go out and inspire sylvan poems.
The next muse is like a sister to the Muse of Sylvan Poetry, she is the Muse of Flowers.

I am sure that it comes as no surprise that she finds flowers to have a restorative quality. She wanders fields of breathing in deeply the fragrance of the flowers growing there. When she is ready she goes off to inpire poets to write about the beauty of flowers in many ways. The last muse I was able to come across is the Night Muse, she inspires all those poems about the night, the moon and the stars. Some of my favorite things.

This muse rarely needs to seek out a special place to recharge as the night comes well nightly.She gazes upon the moon and stars in the dark sky. She finds that she feels the most power radiating from a full moon on a cloudless night. By day she is out there helping poets write about that time that she holds so dear. There was one other poetry muse out there, but she was very elusive and I never was able to track her down. She is the Muse of Hearts, she inspires all those heartfelt poems that lovers, or ex-lovers write. Maybe she has her own lover that she draws upon. If that is the case then maybe that is why I never saw her?

School Ties

Are we in detention or maybe study hall? I don't have a lot of personal knowledge about detention I was one of those "good kids" when I was in school, I wasn't a tattle tale though that is for sure. I did do my fair share of note passing while in class which could explain why I failed the classes I sat near friends in. It was okay though because I think they didn't do any better.

It doesn't matter how well we did in class because we always had each other's back. I wonder how well I would do in school now a days compared to when I was in high school back in...

Blue Pier-iod

Why yes I did make a cheesy reference to Picasso's period of paintings. What can I say wearing that much blue and being on pier just made it too easy. I however am no where near as talented as the famed painter. Thought it would be fun to change things up and wear a more "non-traditional" hair color for a change.

I liked how the hair sort of matches the fading colors of the shirt and shorts I am wearing. You could almost think I planned it that way. It's true I did, but that is part of the fun of playing dress up. I will leave you with the credits now because my coffee hasn't quite kicked in so my brain cells aren't exactly fired up. Maybe I just need a coffee IV for mornings.

Deliverer of Souls

White lights and heavenly vistas mean nothing to her. She is one of Death's helpers. She comes for you when the time has come. She is not evil, even if she looks dark and foreboding. She comes when it is time to relieve the pain. She comes for the old and the suffering. She is greeted like an old friend by those she has come for, those who know it is their time.

There are many different faces to Death as there are many different ways for a person to die. She comes for the old and the frail. The ones who have forgotten who they once were. She takes them to a place where their memories return to them. Where family members are no longer strangers and their bodies no longer fragile. She takes them to a place where they are revitalized and rejuvenated. And this is what I choose to believe because it makes it easier...

His Lordship's Newest Toy

Every year a young maiden is sent away from her home to the manor of the local lord to serve him in the manner he chooses. She is dressed in the purest of white garments to showcase her virtue. It had been said that it is the longest walk a maiden from the village can take.

Once she arrives at the manor she is put through a rigorous inspection by his lordship himself. I won't go into the details of the inspection, but if he doesn't like what he sees then she can be sent off to work in one of his brothels or she may be given away as a gift to any of the other lords in the surrounding areas.

Lucky for this years maiden she is deemed worthy by his lordship and is taken away, cleaned and dressed and marked as his. For the next year she is there to serve him whenever and where ever he feels. There are days where she will not see him at all and then there will be days that she does not leave his side.

Who know what will happen to her next year when the newest maiden is sent to the manor, but for now she is his and that is all she knows.

Don't tell anyone that I stole some flowers from the garden for my hair. I couldn't help it, they just looked like they would look beautiful with my dress. I have been experimenting more and more when I take my pictures lately, in this case I was playing with the depth of field. I am still getting the hang on it, but it's a fun little tool to use on occasion.

Like I said I am still getting feeling my way around with it so it may not be perfect. I will move on to the credits so that you know not only what I am wearing/using, but also where I took these photos.

Pinky and the Brain

Are you pondering what I am pondering? No?, well alright fine. Yes I am showing my age by referencing a cartoon from the early 90's. If you are old enough to know the show, and The Animaniacs, where it all started then you know the awesomeness that was Pinky. I let my partner in crime wear pink today because I am just that kind of gal.

We hit up a dock for our photos because I figured a laboratory might be a little to on the nose. We are of course wearing matching dresses in different colors. I am mint-tastic while Bunny is Pink-erific. Once you read the credits you will be able to tell we both went took a trip to Kustom9. Oh look there they are!

Strolling the grounds

I have escaped, even if is is only for a short period of time. I get so tired of all these dances that my mother insists on throwing in hopes of marrying me of to some suitable man of means. I am more than just some pretty creature for some over stuffed aristocrat to have on his arm and bear his children. Don't get my wrong I am not against marriage, but I want it to be for love, not because it will be beneficial to my family's standing in this community.

I should probably return indoors before my father sends someone out to fetch me. If only I could be like one of the swans that swims in our pond. Free to fly where ever, but also finding a partner for life.

Lady of Thorns

Lady of Thorns sets fire to the sky. She has untold powers that allows her to do such things, she can be quite terrifying. I am not certain what set her off this time, but setting fire to the sky is the least of the terrors she has unleashed when she is in a foul mood or feels unjustly persecuted. Hopefully whatever it was that set her off in the first place will right itself or she will calm down so that the sky can return to it's typical blue.

Girl's Day Out

There is nothing better than having a little time out with a gal pal. Sure we could be shopping or seeing a movie, but having a lunch date with the possible glass of wine or two is way better. Queen for a Day
