Mix and Match

I promise the title of the post will make sense when we get down to the credits. Well I guess from a quick glance you can see we are wearing the same sweater, just in different colors. The outfit comes with just the sweater or the sweater and skirt. I wasn't in the mood for a skirt. Luckily Bunny is always willing to be the girlier of the two of us, so she wore the skirted version. I think she looked more spring-like, though I look like a bee, so maybe we both nailed the spring thing. I don't have anything really brilliant to add today, so I will move onto the credits. Fixing a Koala Nightmare

Every once in a while I take my adorable niece Livy to her grandparents cabin for a get away. It's a little cabin full of older furnishing and stuff my parents felt the need to keep. In one of the bedrooms sit a koala bear that I got as a graduation gift ages ago. Someone saw my cute bear and thought it would be funny to tell Livy about drop bears! Now she is terrified of the sweet bear sitting upon the chair. I think she envisions this when she looks at my poor bear.

Tonight when she was all ready for bed she covered her eyes trying to hide from the koala.

Since she was so terrified I decided to make up a little story to help her fall asleep and maybe forget about the whole drop bear thing...

Once upon a time there was a smart koala named Klaude. He lived in a house very similar to this one. He was a sneaky little koala and like to sneak out of bed at night and head to the kitchen to look for sweet treats.

After sneaking a treat he would head outside to find his friend Botti the black bear.

Botti was an avid painter so he would always talking to Klaude about colors and shapes, but inevitably their conversations always devolved into talk of food. This is usually the point where Klaude bid a fond farewell to his friend and headed back indoors. Klaude would climb up into his favorite chair and drift off to sleep, just like you should be. Maybe my own Klaude will have some adventures tonight protecting you from nightmares.  The End
With the story told Livy peacefully drifted off to sleep and there were no nightmares had that night.

Shades of Brown

Brown seems to be the prevailing color in my world at the moment. I am sure it will soon be replaced with white, but for the time being there is brown. The trees are naked! I also realize I have been wearing boots a lot lately. I think that is because in my non-digital life I live in boots this time of year. It's possible I may have a boot addiction. But that is for another day. I chose the red purse for a pop of color against my brown canvas, though it does come with a HUD so I could have gone all brown. I think the red was a good choice.

There are many things that I envy about my digital self, one of those is her ability to always look good in a hat. She doesn't have to deal with hat head when taking one off. Oh well, at least with this hair I could wear it with or without the hat. I however think the hat looks good and besides you not want that heat escaping. I think I may have yammered on enough this morning. I will free you from my thoughts by sharing the credits of this look with you.

           Hey look I am not jay-walking. Which is a good thing, because if I got ticketed it wouldn't turn out too well for me. I am playing with browns and whites today. I started with the jacket with it's leather accents and wanted to soften things a little with the skirt. And of course tie it all together with a cute little tote like bag. Flea Market Finds

Here is a little more useless information about my non digital self. My parents have collected and sold antiques for as long as I can remember. This means that from a young age I became very familiar with flea markets. Even when on vacation my parents would hit flea markets. How they ever planned to get anything big home is beyond me. Flea markets have such an eclectic mix of items that is was actually pretty fun as a kid, since there were toys in some stalls. Enough about all that you are here for the clothes and what nots so I will just let you peruse the credits at your leisure. Forget tennis, lets get coffee

When I saw these outfits at The Chapter Four it made me think of cute little tennis outfit...till I put on the shoes. Playing tennis in wedges is just a recipe fro disaster, especially for someone as accident prone as me. So I called up my girl and we changed plans last minute. Coffee and gossiping is way more fun than actual exercise, and flapping your jaw is a work out if you have a lot to say. It was a lovely sunny day so we enjoyed our coffees outside.

My Mushroom Hideaway

Everyone needs their own little hideaway, some of us only get a small space in their home, but Miss Elfy here gets a mushroom hideaway. Sure it doesn't have all the comforts of home, but there is a rug and and bench and I am betting she has some books stashed away in there too. I know if I had a hideaway like that I would have a whole bundle of books tucked in there and maybe a little cooler for drinks.

Beach Beauties

Please don't get sick and tired of me on the beach. I promise as soon as summer has ended in my part of the world you will see me surrounded by trees and covered up head to toe. For now I am dragging my photo buddy to the beach. Only in the the pixels will I lay out in the sun like this. It's because I never need to worry about getting a sunburn. Sunburns hurt like a monkey trucker. There have been so many things that have opened in the last week or so that I am having trouble keeping track. Today however I know that the swimwear comes from The Chapter Four. I couldn't pass up a little yellow bikini. I think I get a new one every summer.

After slow roasting in the sun it was time to drag Bunny to the water. I think she may be part wicked witch and afraid she will melt if she comes into contact with water. She was clinging to me like a baby monkey! You can't see you legs wrapped around me. I think one day I am going to have to have a pool party and "accidentally" trip into and send her into the water. I'm not evil I swear.

Ice Cream Time!

There is nothing better on a hot summer day at the beach than ice cream. I love the beach, even if I do burn like it's my job. In fact I do love the outdoors in general, it's just the sun doesn't love me back. I mean here I am looking like a sunset with a sunny necklace and still no love from the sun!

In a field

I must be waiting on a cowboy, because there is no way I could do any work on a farm dressed like this. Maybe I could sell milk...wait that sounds pervy. You know what I mean though. I bet looking like this I could sell eggs to a chicken or some such thing.
When I put this dress on it gave me a country feel. Maybe it was the denim or the floral of the skit, or maybe it's just they way my head works. I made breakfast

It's not often that I am the first one awake or that I bake something for breakfast. I usually save all my baking for afternoons or evenings. Lonely Country Road in the Snow

No one in their right mind would want to walk in the snow on an empty country road. I mean I guess if you have no choice you would, but man is it cold. I had to walk out in the snow today and my toes are still defrosting.

I should have buttoned up and maybe then I wouldn't have suffered the sweater creep. You know what I am talking about, when you put on a jacket and it tugs on your sweater lifting it a bit. No? Am I the only one who suffers from this? Oh well moving on. If you couldn't tell I did a little shopping at The Chapter Four, which is where I picked up my jeans, jacket/sweater combo and my skin too. Well I picked up more but I didn't want to drown you in my shopping today.
