Small Town Girl

      When the latest boots from lassitude & ennui were released at We <3 Roleplay I had ideas of pairing it with other items from there. However others had the same idea so being the person that I am I went back to the drawing board. As life has it's way of making things hard for me by the time I had the outfit all picked out my hands decided that was time to start acting up. Yay auto-immune nonsense. Luckily my Sin came to my rescue and took photos for me. He's better at it than me anyway so it was really a nice silver lining.

      You may see more photos taken by him on the blog here and there as my hands go through fits of being giant balls of ache, but I will always tell you when he did the work. I won't take credit for something someone else has done.

And It Begins Anew

      For humans Valentine's Day may be in the rear view mirror, but for Cupids it means the beginning of training season for the latest batch of trainees. You see when the world was smaller, I mean less populated and what not one man could do the job. However, now with humans being all spread out and some even taking out cupids, we need to train these little ones faster than ever!

     These little lads and lasses have a mind of their own and need some serious oversight. They like to fly off and shoot their arrows all willy nilly. Luckily they are only given practice arrows that do not have the special "love potion" in them. While the arrows may have no effect on themselves an arrant arrow could be trouble for any mortal it hit.

      These little trainees are a headache to deal with! It is a good thing there is time to get them up to snuff before next Valentine's Day!

Who Is In Charge

      There are times I get all dressed up and have no idea the kind of photo I want to take. That is when I get a little help from my friends. In fact you can just make out his silhouette there in the foreground.  Is he sitting there waiting for me to come over as called? Maybe he is sitting there because I told him to. That is up to you to determine for yourself. Only we know the true story behind the photo. Isn't that the fun of photography and art, it can be seen in different ways by each individual person.

Cute But Deadly

      We may look all cute, but we are a pair of deadly ladies! My favorite bunny Aura was roped into taking pictures with me. Okay so she really just had to stand there looking cute while I took more pictures than needed as usual. For some reason I got this idea of two cute ladies just being beasts at a shooting range. Maybe it's because I haven't been to one in a while...Anyway I gave Aura the outfit to wear and she did all the rest herself. Here is a look at something other than her bunny bum.

      This little bunny could totally take out Mr. McGregor should she get caught in his garden. Okay yes I know that last line was a reach, but could you imagine a cute little bunny just wasting him? No? I am the only one with a twisted mind like that? Well then lets carry on and pretend that never happened.

      And here I am a cute little bear with the heads of my victims attached to my gun. I am only kidding I could never take out a cute little teddy bear. Well unless it came to life and was a murderous monster, then that b*tch would be going down! I am getting way off track with this so I am going to stop here and move onto the credits.

Some Mornings Are Great...

      ...Some not so much. Some days are so full of pain you can't help but cry. Luckily those days aren't often, but when the do happen I can always count on the combination of a hot cup of coffee and the caffeine that lies within. The pain can be physical or emotional, but for me it's usually the physical kind. 

      Having an auto-immune disease can suck big time. Some mornings everything hurts and just getting out of bed can feel like a major victory. Unfortunately it's also the thing that can cause long times between posts. The biggest cause of the tears is frustration, all the things that were easy or pain free that I took for granted. Trying to do all the things I want to, but knowing I have to give priority to the things that I need to do. Don't get me wrong there are good days and I take advantage of them as much as I can. I guess I needed to share today. Don't worry I promise this will be the only one for a long time that is all raw and truthful about my non-digital life. Go forth and read the credits and shop!

Music Mondays - Hate Myself For Loving You

Growing up I was a big fan of Joan Jett. In fact I used to drive my older sisters crazy but singing "I Love Rock & Roll" all the time. For the record I was four and it was their fault for intoducing me to her. So that being said it should come as no surprise that I have at least one Joan Jett song of my Music Mondays rotation.

Just in case you are wondering I did not pick this song thinking about someone specific. I think there is at least one time in our lives we regreted the feelings we had for someone. I was feeding off of that place. Since this photo is on the dark side, lighting wise I mean, I decided to take another shot to show you what I am wearing a little better. This is the point in this whole project that I realized it might be a good idea.

Holiday Prep - Baking

      The holiday season is here and that is the reason I have been so quiet. I have also been working on another series of posts. I scoured the marketplace, yard sales and my inventory to find all the goodies in these photos. Today I will be showing you one of the baking areas of the North Pole. I got special permission from the big guy in the red suit. Of course there were some places I wasn't allowed to venture into, for instance his office where he keeps the naughty/nice list. Oh and his and Mrs. Claus' private home, but I understand that, I wouldn't want people traipsing about my home either to show to the world.

       Anyway this baking shop I checked was one of a few, the elves are always clamoring for cookies and cocoa. I don't blame them though, the cocoa I drank while there was the best ever. And the cookies! Oh my word they seemed to cater to everyone's taste.

      While I was there this elf was busy whipping up some icing for some sugar cookies she had just made. If my photos were scented this one would smell of sugar and vanilla and warmth. I am pretty sure I packed on 10 pounds just by looking at all the delicious cookies, not to mention the other sugary treats that they also make there. Tomorrow we will be taking a trip outside to check out the newest reindeer recruits!

The White Witch

      While White Witches are supposed to be the altruistic type, the first one that came to mind certainly was not. You see when I think of White White I think of that tricky and self serving witch from Narnia. She is most definitely not of the healing or helping variety of white witch.


       Of course Jadis wouldn't be without her wolf guardians so neither am I. Not too sure how I would feel about having wolves guard me daily, I don't think they eat regular dog food. Now I hate to cut this short, but my non digital life is killing me at the moment and I must return to it. See you tomorrow with "The Good Witch".

Leaf Peeper

      Here I am playing coy. I say playing because I am not sure I could ever actually be coy. Then again I think I could try to be shy and/or modest, but it's the alluring bit that eludes me. Hey stop laughing you! I could be modest if I wanted to be! Fine, even I couldn't type that with a straight face. I do think I am pretty awesome and have no problem saying such most days.


      Enough about me and my over-inflated ego. I am here to show pretty things, and cute things too, because that is how I would describe this hair from bonbon. It has a youthful nature to it that definitely vibes with the whole coy thing. Also since it is officially fall (though it's still in the 90's here) I am wearing a cardigan. I would live in cardigans year round if I thought I would withstand a southern summer in one. I love the color of the autumn leaves still, even if I don't get to see them.

My Own Heaven

      After a crazy weekend full of family, airports and plane trips I could use a little down time. Don't get me wrong it was a blast, but now it's a matter of getting back into a routine, and doing laundry. Oh and blogging, now that the insanity of traveling is over I can hopefully get back into a routine here too. I would like to point out that the flowers in my hair match the lining of my boots because I am coordinated like that...sometimes.


      I do look fairly angelic, which as anyone who knows me well knows that it's a lie. I mean I am not a terrible person by any means, at least I don't think I am. I am a smartass, and a bit sassy, but those are really bad things. I can be super nice too and I care lots about my friends.

The Broken Hearted

     There she is in the quiet unused corner of her home, everything seeming frozen in time. The cobwebs from the spiders who call this spot home have covered the walls and furniture, yet they never seem to be brushed away. The only thing fresh and new is the rose clutched in her hand as she stares at the cake that would have marked their union.



      While it seems the objects in this corner have remained untouched by time, the forgotten bride has not fared as well. The years show their mark upon her skin, her once flawless skin now wrinkled and marred by age. The heart she once proudly wore as a gift from the man she was to wed now rest against her skin hastily repaired. While the favor from him may have been repaired the heart that once skipped a beat at the sight of him is now in pieces in her chest. Never in her time alone was she able to find anything or anyone that could put those tattered pieces back together.

A boho Phire

      Every once in a while some part of me decides to take over my style for a day or so. I wish I knew what triggered these little whims, but it also explains why I have no discernible style most of the time. This day my inner boho came out to play.



      I will call this the "I can't today" pose, which is how I am feeling today. In my defense it is National Lazy Day so really the fact that I am even blogging today should be applauded. I am awash in flame in this picture because everyone knows it gets cold in the desert at night and you need a fire to keep warm, and this Phire is being warmed by that one.


      Here we see a Phire being mesmerized by the flames. This is actually pretty accurate, I do get lost in the flames of a bonfire. I have always felt a strange pull towards fire and flames, but not in the I am going to be an arsonist kind of way. I am going to flee before I end up freaking people out with my fire love.
