Watching the snow fall

I may no longer get snow where I live, but that doesn't mean I can't pretend. I haven't given up drinking coffee in this warmer climate either so it makes sense to have it in my hands. I admit I am trying to drink tea instead when my hands are freezing. Thus far I have a zero percent success rate. Oh well there are worse vices out there to be sure. For now I shall continue to sip my coffee and remember the days of snow (not that I would give up my sunshine for snowflakes)

You Look Fine

"You look fine", that is what she told me when she woke me up from my nap to take a picture in the yard. I knew I shouldn't have trusted her, you never trust an older sibling. I should have learned that over the years, but did I? Obviously not or else I wouldn't look like I got into a fight with a squirrel.

Oh well even looking like still have sleepiness in my eyes we are still a cute pair, though maybe next time I will decide when we take a picture!

Garden Maze

I have always wanted to go into a garden maze before in my non-digital life, and one of these days I hope to. I have had fun in corn mazes before, but it's just not the same as lush garden greens. So for now I have decided to be content with the digital version.

I have always wondered what happens if someone gets lost in a garden maze. I mean you can't exactly cut through the hedges, at least not that I imagine. How do they make sure no one is lost in it over night? I guess I could Google it but the answers I make up in my head are probably more amusing than the truth. I took several wrong turns and hot many a dead end before coming to the center of the garden maze I visited.

When I did get to the center it was very serene. There were butterflies flitting about and of course flowers. As you can see there are tulips in the center and tulips just happen to be my favorite flower.

Catch Me!

I like to climb on things and jump off of them. I don't climb too high most times. A fear of heights has it's way of curbing enthusiastic vertical feats. I also like to be silly. When I can combine the two it has the chance to be epic! For instance maybe jumping off a fence post and yelling "Surprise!" and expecting my male companion to catch me, but then again sometimes he pretends not to know me.

This was one of those times. He didn't not catch me as I had hoped. There was no rom-com catching and tumbling to the ground like I had envisioned. The only tumbling to the ground that happened was me, I tried to brace my fall, but that didn't go so well. I guess I should be thankful nothing broke, and I didn't smash my face, but...

Who wants to spend this time of year in a wrist brace? At least with help to tie my skates I can still take a turn or two on the ice.

Last Leaves of Fall

This autumn has been a bittersweet one for me. It is the last one that I will be living in New England for. Now I may be biased, but I think Autumn in New England is beyond compare. The leaves are ablaze with colors that defy description. At least that is how I feel about it. As with most things the beautiful foliage must come to an end.

So as I sit here on the ground, as the last of the leaves float down, I will comfort myself knowing that like the seasons life changes. So as I await the start of winter I will await the new adventure ahead, just without the need for a heavy jacket just yet.

Autumnal Respite

I know I am going to make you sick with all my autumn themed posts for the next couple of months. I would apologize, but autumn is my favorite time of year. I have been waiting for just the right outfit to wear while sitting on this bench and I finally saw it at FaMESHed yesterday. The shirt and jeans from Rebel Hope paired so well with the cozy boots from C'est la Vie that are part of this month's round of Mix.

Oh yeah all this came together to go nicely with the hair from Exile the is at the current round of The Fantasy Collective. So many events going on and so little time to visit them all!

A Town of Mr. Butlers

A friend suggested I hop on this green train for an adventure. I really should do some research before taking advice. I didn't know it was going to be cold and snowing so I wasn't exactly dressed for the weather.

When I got off the train I was greeted by what I thought were twins, and they were offering up some champagne so I grabbed a glass and headed inside. I needed to get warm.

When I got inside there was another one and he was serving up champagne too. He had a little more flair going on than what I assume were his brothers. Maybe they are triplets I thought.

I walked deeper into the building in search of a bathroom. I did drink all that champagne and well nature was calling. I stumbled across another man, he must have been the black sheep of the butler family because he was serving up wine instead. By this time I had counted four identical Mr. Butlers and I was started to get a little worried. I snuck out of the bathroom window to find an escape from Crazytown. To be honest I was starting to think they were robots or maybe even clones and I did not want to stick around.

I found a row boat and was about to make my escape when my foot hit the water. Man it was freezing! But I soldiered on and rowed my little heart out and made it home with no troubles.

Lady in (Cadmium) Red

I don't know why but when it came to this shade of red in the color go round I figured I needed to go fancy. And I may have wanted an excuse to use my balcony.



So I did something bad and the clothes and jewelry I am wearing are no longer sold. I sort of feel bad when I do that. It like..see what I have? haha None for you!....I am terrible. Hmm I think I may lose point in classiness for being bare foot. Oh well here are the credits and you can at least get some of it for your own.
