Mornings Are Rough

By now you have probably seen a photo somewhere with the hashtag "woke up like this". If I ever tired to do that people would have flashed to Melisandre's true form in Game of Thrones. Oh you haven't seen it? Well spoiler alert, it isn't pretty and neither am I in the morning. Look I even have proof.


See I told you, it is so far removed from even pretty adjacent, but at least my bum looks banging. Trust me when I say I saved you by not getting a close up.

After some fancy brushwork, enough contouring to impress a drag queen, and enough hair product for half a dozen Hollywood starlets I am ready to see the light of day.


Then again by this point the morning is shot. Maybe I should grab a latte, and relax till it's time to venture into the night, where this amount of work won't be seen. Hmmm I may need to rethink when I start my morning routine...

At Peace With Winter

It's Groundhog's Day today and the prediction from Phil and Chuckles (our state groundhog) is that it will be an early Spring. With the mild winter we have had I don't think that is any surprise. That being said I think I have come to have an appreciation for Winter and the snow that it brings. This could be because I know it is my last winter in the Northeast. Gone will be the need to shovel, the threats of snow days and the ice slicked roads. The idea used to terrify me. I have never lived anywhere else, now I look at it like a grand new adventure. This adventure is leaving me buried in cardboard boxes currently, but it's all part of the fun right? So I shall bid a fond farewell to the winters I have known and embrace the winters yet to come.

Fleeing into the night

When I saw this set from Faida and Fallen Gods Inc. it make me think of the fall of Czarist Russia. It may not be exactly historically accurate but then again this isn't a history class. I imagine our fleeing damsel here to be a lady of the court and hearing all the commotion in the palace and high tailed it out of there to preserve her own life. Whether she made it to safety or not I will let you decide, as there was much turmoil in the world at the time of the fall of Czarist Russia.

Last Leaves of Fall

This autumn has been a bittersweet one for me. It is the last one that I will be living in New England for. Now I may be biased, but I think Autumn in New England is beyond compare. The leaves are ablaze with colors that defy description. At least that is how I feel about it. As with most things the beautiful foliage must come to an end.

So as I sit here on the ground, as the last of the leaves float down, I will comfort myself knowing that like the seasons life changes. So as I await the start of winter I will await the new adventure ahead, just without the need for a heavy jacket just yet.

Thirst Quenching

What better way to spend an autumn afternoon than curled up with a handsome man and sipping some nice warm tea?

Now tea can be comforting and also thirst quenching, for most people. You see for the lovely couple one of them was not getting the satisfaction they were craving. They needed to try a different approach.

They stood, getting a little closer than they were. One of them still in need of something thirst quenching and that is when it happened.

And that is when it happened. The poor man never saw it coming. One moment he was looking into her gorgeous eyes and the next well, we can all figure that out can't we?

Bringer of Life

She brings life to all the flora of the forest when the time comes for them to wake from the earth. She has an especially soft spot for flowers, their colors and scent just seem to invigorate her making this her favorite time of year.

Sometimes she will just sit with the fragrant blossoms and drift off into her own mind. She looks kind of spacey when she does so she tries to find a secluded spot in case someone spies her.
This dress, staff and crown are all from The Epiphany, the latest gacha event to hit the grid. This own has it's own little twist though. You can redeem your gacha scores for points. I love this because it means I can do something with all the extras I inevitably end up with. Then you can take those points and spend them on exclusives!
