Care for a drink?

When I saw this nightdress at Epiphany it made me think of old Hollywood glamour. I may watch way too many old movies. Of course I had to pop some bubbly, because really what is more glamorous than champagne? Seriously check out the bubbles in this stuff!

Opening Pandora's Box

I have opened Pandora's box, only instead of it being filled with all the evils of the world, these boxes are filled with memories. Each box contains it's own set of sentimental items. Maybe I did open Pandora's box with all these reminders of you.

That book you said reminded you of us, those love letters you sent and that one single red rose given before you knew my true favorite flower. All these things stirring up memories and here I am with only a blazing fire to keep me warm.

Are these my ghosts of Christmas or times past? Maybe they are reminders of the love we continue to have for one another? Maybe I am just a sentimental old fool. Who knows....

My Summer Happy Place

If it weren't for the potential for vicious sunburns I would spend all summer lounging by the pool. Sure I could slather on the sunscreen, but even that doesn't stop it. You fair skinned people out there know what I am talking about.

At least with the SL sun I don't have to fear a sun burn, or tan lines for that matter. Summer is just starting here in the northern hemisphere so I hope you are prepared for tons of summer and beachy posts.

In Time Out

Every once in a while Lola leaves her kid with me to watch. Now don't get me wrong he is an adorable little bundle of all things little boy and I even have a little pay area for him, but sometimes I prefer more grown up company. The other night she asked me to watch him and being the devoted sister I am I said sure. What I neglected to tell her was that I planned on having a gentleman caller that evening as well. Hey my house my rules.
Well my gentleman friend stopped by, we gave the kid cookies and told him to go play. I know not the most responsible move, but what do you want? We dimmed the lights and went at it like two horny teenagers, keeping it PG of course.

As luck would have it Lola came in at just that moment and flicked on the lights. She flew into such a rage at my shoddy babysitting skills. I had to do something to calm her down so I made a bargain with her. I would sit in time out like a naughty child for a set amount of time and promise never to take my eyes off her little boy again when he is in my care. For the sake of family peace I agreed and boy was it humiliating!

I guess there are positives to come from this, one she never knew about the cookies and two, at least the time out stool has a star on it. Maybe next time I will toss in a family friendly movie instead...but probably not.
