Alone, but not lonely

       Some days you just need that alone time to recharge yourself. During that time being alone isn't being lonely, it's blissful. Maybe I am just saying that now that I finally have my alone time again. Last week was Hurricane Irma madness, everyone was home all week! I missed those quiet hours when it was just me doing what I needed to get done. Now everyone is back on schedule and I couldn't be happier, maybe not them, but it's all about me day. The Sea Sprite

Fear not this little is not sad, she is just blue by nature. It helps her hide in the waters she calls home. She was a playful one when I was snapping these pictures of her in her watery home. She was doing flips, twists and all other manner of aquatic acrobatics. I have no idea how old she is exactly, she looks younger than I am, but you never know with this type of creature. She could be pushing a century and I would never know. She gave a beautiful iridescent shell when I had to depart, maybe it means we are friends now?

Snowball Fight!

Some days sibling rivalry takes hold and you just need to pelt your older sister with a snowball when she isn't looking. Now I won't say that is is satisfying to hear her yelp as snow fell down her back, oh who am I kidding it's the best thing ever! What's better is being able to run away faster than she can make a snowball. Look at that totally satisfied smirk on my face.

You Look Fine

"You look fine", that is what she told me when she woke me up from my nap to take a picture in the yard. I knew I shouldn't have trusted her, you never trust an older sibling. I should have learned that over the years, but did I? Obviously not or else I wouldn't look like I got into a fight with a squirrel.

The Messy One

It takes a lot of work for some girls to get presentable. Yesterday the neater of the two showed off her makeup area and today we have the erm less than neat one shows off. I mean I guess she is neat because things are sort of organized, but man she has a lot!

Don't get me wrong she looks fantastic, but you should see how long it takes her to get camera ready! Luckily her husband is a very patient man and doesn't mind the wait. He however thinks she looks beautiful even without make up. It's a shame he has no sink space to use for himself.

The Neat One

So many choices so few fingers. Hmm that could have sounded better, but you know what I mean. I have a nailpolish addiction and this just fuels it even more. Of course in my non-digital life I have quite a few bottles more and stand there just like that trying to pick a shade of the moment. I can't handle naked nails! But that is not the only part of my beauty routine.
I have my vanity all set up with all the things I need to make myself presentable during the day, or night. Seriously you do not want to see what this face looks like first thing in the morning! I try to keep everything neat and tidy, but sometimes spills happen. Maybe I should store some if it in the drawers. I should probably install childproof locks on there too. The last time my niece was over she got a hold of a tube of lipstick...it was not pretty. Well the lipstick was, the results of Livy getting a hold of it were not!

Beach side getaway

As summer approaches in my area of the world I am drawn to the beach. It's a place where I spent a lot of fun times when I was younger. We would spend the day at the beach and then enjoy a dinner of lobster and clams (though when I was younger it was hot dogs). We would fish and look for shell and of course go for a swim.

Sadly the house that we spent all those summers at has been sold to someone else and our days of visiting it have come to an end. I still have memories and even some photos to remember those bygone days...and painful sunburns.

Tea Time

It's tea time! I have a confession to make. I collect teacups in SL. I know it seems a bit strange, but I do. I have a soft spot for teacups. So it's not surprising that when The Arcade rolls around and there are teacups to be had I seek them out.

There are times where I attempt to get all the pieces of a tea set.

I am also a sucker for tulips. Combine some tulips with a cute bunny and I am all over that cuteness!
And what is a tea party with out dressing up all prettily? I think I shall call these two Cinnamon and Sugar based on what we are wearing. Cinnamon obviously being the one in red, because it more cinnamony than that minty one.

Groomora*

I have a strange little mind. I mean I could have gone all mystical dryad with this skin, but no, that would be expected instead I introduce you to Groomora. Who is Groomora you may ask, why she is the love child of Groot and Gamora. Come on you know those Guardians of the Galaxy had to hook up in space. Sure the obvious match would have been Star Lord and Gamora, but with the greenish bark-like skin you could totally understand where my head was going.

Unlike Groot who only needed his pot once, Groomora needs to sleep in her pot to receive all the nutrients she needs. Sure it sucks, but hey she gets by. For the first part of her life she was raised in a special pod, in theory to keep her safe, but it was boring.

Could you imagine having nothing to do all day but look at flowers and climb trees, completely oblivious to the action your parents are seeing outside your safe little pod? No I don't mean the kind of action that made her! Poor girl. Hopefully one day she will get out there and be totally kick ass like her mom...and dad too.

Living at the North Pole

I don't know what movies are trying to convince you humans, but we elves do not live in a cute little village of adorable wood houses. Have you seen the North Pole? There isn't a tree around anywhere! Yes, we have wood to make the toys, but it is to make the toys with. Would you like to see where I really live?
That's right I live in an igloo. I know what you are thinking, but it's bigger on the inside I swear. Maybe on another day I will show you around the inside.
This is my pet Penn, he likes to play with his ice cubes. I made them to look like a child's blocks. I am trying to teach him to spell "Merry Christmas", but it is not going to well. I also have some neighbors...
The polar bear family may look fierce but they are more like teddy bears. They are always out playing together, it warms my little elven heart.

Mad as a Hatter

It was fun styling the Mad Hatter. Maybe it was because my favorite color was involved? No matter the reason it was fun and I got a little spoiled by Lola. You see every once in while I will show her my look and she will tell me straight up if it sucks. My first look overused system layers, at least in her mind so she bought me some mesh shorts. I have to admit I do look pretty fine in my shorts.
The last thing that I bought for this look was the hat, for some reason I was being very picky about it. I finally found one that suited me. Now I need to get back to work on Vanellope ( from Wreck-It-Ralph)!

Sunny Cafe

I am back out wandering the wilds of SL. I seem to be drawn to the little cafes that are scattered about the grid. That seems about right since I love little coffee houses and cafes in RL. Modern Deity

Who wouldn't want to worship a Deity? I mean how casual and cool does she look? The reason I am calling her a Deity is because the skin is from We (heart) Roleplay. Now for the record you don't have to be into roleplay to find something there to tickle your fancy. The skin was named for a goddess so I decided to make a modern goddess of love and fertility. What goddess wouldn't want to wear a mini skirt?  Or maybe it's just how I would dress. I will let you ponder that while perusing the credits.

What a weekend!

Too much awesome opened or was released over this past weekend! Let's see there is this months round of L'accessories, which is well all about the accessories, hats and shoes and jewelry and the like. The there is The Arcade, which is what I think gatcha heaven looks like. Last but not least there is new hair to be had from Exile, one of which I am wearing. I guess I should show you the pictures eh?

Here is a full body shot. A quick breakdown before I show the close ups. The clutch and collar are both from The Arcade, the boots are from L'accessories and the hair is obviously from Exile. Now lets move onto a closer shot of the head and collar shall we?

Now the hair comes in all the colors you expect, including the newer fusion colors (I am wearing "Leather")and there were teo other styles released, but I only have on head. The collar is from Pididdle at The Arcade and there are 15 different ones to win, one of those being the rare and elusive...well I'm gonna keep that a secret.

Well I already spoke on the collar, so I will start with the other Arcade item I am wearing, the clutch. This is one of eleven. And you should know that even though there is a yellow one, I went with the brown with red bow to tie in with everything else I was wearing. Now onto the boots. These come in six colors, each with two heel options in one pack. It's like two boots in one! These are great fall boots, or just for a pop of color like today. Well Happy Shopping dear readers.
