Last of the tomatoes

With the end of the summer came the end of home grown tomatoes. I enlisted the help of Livy to pick all the bright red tomatoes from the vines. She prefers cherry tomatoes because she can pop them in her mouth and bite them, sending tomato insides flying everywhere.

Livy of course decided that walking the short distance to the house. She was also reluctant to give up the tomato she picked. I think she wanted to keep it forever, which would have been really gross after a while. We hauled all the tomatoes into the kitchen and got to work.

We started making some tomato sauce and to help out I asked Livy to stir all the spices in a bowl. I mean I couldn't let her near the stove that would just be an accident waiting to happen. In the end I finished making quite a few jars of tomato sauce. Soon we will use it in some tasty dinners, maybe I will even make pizza from scratch as a treat.

Livy's Diner

I got the honor to watch my little niece Livy the other night. Her parents needed an overnight sitter and I got the honor. Right before bedtime she wanted to show me the new diner playset that her parents bought her. And of course as with and imaginative little kid she wanted to make me something tasty to eat in her diner. Being a well trained chef she made sure she washed her hands before cooking anything.

As you can see I am rocking some cute sheep slippers, but they are nothing compared to the ones Livy wore. After washing her hands she hit the fridge to get some pretend food out to cook me her latest culinary creation.

Do you see those little dragon feet slippers she is wearing? You know you wish you had your own dragon slippers don't ya? Anyway I must say that Livy runs the best pretend diner with the tastiest pretend food creations ever. Hey I am an Aunt I am allowed to say that.

Mad as a Hatter

It was fun styling the Mad Hatter. Maybe it was because my favorite color was involved? No matter the reason it was fun and I got a little spoiled by Lola. You see every once in while I will show her my look and she will tell me straight up if it sucks. My first look overused system layers, at least in her mind so she bought me some mesh shorts. I have to admit I do look pretty fine in my shorts.
The last thing that I bought for this look was the hat, for some reason I was being very picky about it. I finally found one that suited me. Now I need to get back to work on Vanellope ( from Wreck-It-Ralph)!

Unmellow Yellow

Well the color name is pretty cool so I am just gonna leave that as the title this time.


I think this was taken during a RL heatwave so I wanted to pretend to cool off at the beach with a nice cold drink. Luckily it's SL, because in RL I couldn't drink a strawberry drink (sadness, but I am allergic to strawberries). I had to fight the surfers to get a picture so I was standing there for quite some time.



And back to the bare feet I went. They are so nice and well once I get them tinted to match a skin I don't want to take either off. I will admit to my laziness.

Champagne Friends

So we are starting a little late with this years 52 weeks of color challenge here, but we have an excuse. You see I have been using the term we and that is because this year Sakura will be doing it with me! A trip to the store
