Flying a Kite

It's pretty funny, just a couple of weeks ago I was watching Mary Poppins with a certain someone special and when it was over I said something along the lines of "We should go fly a kite!". It sort of fell to the wayside until this weekend...

As you can see I got my wish to go fly a kite. He even let my climb on his back to try and see how high we could get the kite to go. We had to find a place away from the trees to fly the kite though because I didn't want it getting caught in a tree. I have a bad track record when it comes to kites and trees.

Luckily I was able to keep a tight hold on both the man and the kite and they both returned home in one piece, though one may have some sore muscles from holding me up.

Calming Waters

Some days I can get a little overwhelmed or stressed, on those days I seek out water. There is just something to soothing about the sound of waves crashing on the shore. I will admit to also having a fondness for waterfalls. Luckily the sounds of the water did the trick and my jangled nerves were soothed, for a time at least.

Living at the North Pole

I don't know what movies are trying to convince you humans, but we elves do not live in a cute little village of adorable wood houses. Have you seen the North Pole? There isn't a tree around anywhere! Yes, we have wood to make the toys, but it is to make the toys with. Would you like to see where I really live?
That's right I live in an igloo. I know what you are thinking, but it's bigger on the inside I swear. Maybe on another day I will show you around the inside.
This is my pet Penn, he likes to play with his ice cubes. I made them to look like a child's blocks. I am trying to teach him to spell "Merry Christmas", but it is not going to well. I also have some neighbors...
The polar bear family may look fierce but they are more like teddy bears. They are always out playing together, it warms my little elven heart.

Lazing about

I don't know about you, but I am beat from this weekend! So many sales and events all seemed to start at once. My girl Lola took me to Kustom9 and I will be honest I had never been. Hey it's hard to keep all these events straight.
I am a sucker for big cozy sweaters in RL and in SL so of course I had to play the gacha machine at Kustom9 and one of the colors I got was this lovely minty color. I think mint is my favorite color, behind yellow of course. I also picked up the pants you see me wearing. One can never have too many pairs of pants in my opinion.
While there I also played the gacha to get these birds that are made from keyboard keys. They are odd and quirky and seemed just like the thing to have in my bedroom. Now I must go sort through all the other goodies I got so I can get around to blogging them too.

My morning routine in fairly simple, it follows three steps once I am out of bed. Step one...stumble into the kitchen in the coziest jammies on hand. Or the mans shirt, either one works.
Step two...stare at the coffee waiting for it to magically fill, then realize I need to push the brew button.
Step three...wandering into the living room, set the coffee down till it is no longer hot enough to melt the hardest of metals.
Obviously others have been awake before me since there is hot chocolate already on the table. There is not nearly enough caffeine in hot chocolate to get me moving in the morning! You have to love the holidays, but only because I get to sleep in for a little bit longer.

Lunch Date

The man is off the rest of the week for Thanksgiving, and because he needs to use up some of his vacation days. That means..lunch date and that is what inspired these pictures.
Here I am heading off to the restaurant to meet him for lunch, not everyone get the day off after all. I do look fabulous, but these shoes are a killer!
Of course he is late. I swear the man can't get anywhere on time. At least it gives me a chance to kick up my heels. It may have been a short walk, but any walk in heels can be a killer. He finally arrived and we had a lovely lunch. You don't want to see pictures of it I promise. I am not the neatest of eaters.
No matter how wonderful lunch is I still need that afternoon pick me up. I nice little vanilla latte is just the thing to keep me going till I park it on the couch when I get home.

So am I doing the walk of shame or am I just ready to head to work bright and early? Hmmm maybe the glittery dress is a little too much for the office huh? Okay I admit it, I was out late with this guy who used to be in a marching band, and well I may have nicked his jacket on my way out the door. Paperdolls - Day Three

Today's doll has a nautical thing going on so I chose to head out into the world and find a fitting place to take some pictures.
It was kind of hard to find a skirt that worked with the mesh jacket. A lot of the skirts I had picked, with the blue and white were too poofy or too high waisted to work with the jacket. I have to say I am still, in my oh so humble opinion, adorable.

Paperdolls - Day Two

Today is day two of my paperdoll doppelganger series. This one shows my obvious love of stars. It was hard not to let my favorite creep in when I was doing these dolls originally.

Halloween have been over for almost two weeks now and I still have pumpkins all around. I am at a loss as to what to do with them. I mean look at this MASSIVE one.
I mean I guess I could carve a door into and and maybe some windows and live in it like Peter's wife.
Maybe I can make something with these little ones. Pumpkin pie maybe, or perhaps pumpkin bread? I shall ponder these options while you read the credits.

Nothing comes between me and my coffee

You know you always hear that people can become "monsters" due to viruses? Well I little infection is not enough to stop me from getting my daily hit of caffeine. I mean I am not craving brains, or going around chomping on people so you know there is no need to fear me. The only thing I am killing today is this latte. Maybe next time though I will wear my sunglasses...maybe then the barista won't haul ass getting away. Hopefully the money I left will cover the latte.

Lizzie Borden - Vampire Slayer

So you may or may not be familiar with Lizzie Borden so here is a little rhyme that children used to skip rope to...

Lizzie Borden took an axe 

And gave her mother forty whacks. 

When she saw what she had done

There are a lot of ideas as to why this happened, but I know the true story. Lizzie was a vampire slayer/demon hunter and she found out the truth about her father and step mother. They weren't human at all and she needed to deal with them accordingly. Some may think that this was a one time deal, but I have uncovered photos to the contrary, and they have been lovingly colorized for modern times.
As you can see from the photo Lizzie would sneak up on unsuspecting vampires as they rose from their mausoleums in the early hours of the evening.

She would strike quickly, dealing a lethal blow before they ever saw it coming.

She would leave her victims there are a warning to others knowing that when the sun rose it would obliterate all evidence of what she has been doing.

A quiet cup of tea

Is there anything better than a quiet cup of tea on a crisp fall afternooon? I don't know about where you live, but where I live autumn has it's own scent and it is one that I love.

Orange for Unity Day

So today I am going to get deeper and more personal than I normally do. Today happens to be Unity Day, to unite to stop bullying. October isn't just Breast Cancer Awareness month, it is also National Bullying Prevention Month. Instead of wearing pink though the color for Bullying Prevention is orange.
I was teased when I was a kid and it sucked, however it doesn't come close to what kids go through now a days, and at a younger age too. Last year my son was bullied to the point where he was threatening suicide, he was only 9 at the time. Now I know that he would never hurt himself, but it is scary as a parent hearing that from your child. He is different than other kids his age and it's not his fault, but they just saw him as being different and bullied him till he couldn't take it anymore. We pulled him from that school and did all we could to move to a better school system and so far things have been a million times better.
If you see someone being bullied, speak up! You never know, you could be saving a life.

Autumn Begins

I adore this time of year, the smells and colors and warm sweaters. However I loathe anything pumpkin or pumpkin spice flavored, though my top looks a bit pumpkin spice-y to me.
Of course where I live autumn is a very so it's not strange to wear a sleeveless top, though generally I would wear a sweater or such over it. This is SL though so I could be standing bare naked and in a snow storm and not feel a thing. Maybe I should do that later when people start switching over to winter time sims.
I even squeezed in some leaves in my jewelry.

Barefoot in the flowers

I like to run around SL barefoot. I can't help myself, it's not like I am going to step in poo in SL. Well I mean I could but I would feel it or smell it so it's almost like it doesn't happen. In my first life I almost always wear shoes, Legos and Barbie shoes are like little land mines.
In the summer I love the feel of grass under my feet and in SL I can have that feeling year round!I thought the hair and dress needed a little summery bohemian feel.
And since owls are cool and stuff I am wearing an owl necklace that I picked during one of my many wanderings of the grid with Lola.

The Sorceress and daughter

There once was a kind and powerful Sorceress. She only used her powers to help others, much to the dismay of the other Sorceresses around. One day she had to go pick up a few supplies from the local Wizard and decided it was time for her daughter to come along and start her training.
The Wizard had all the supplies the Sorceress was looking for, even the unicorn tears which are extremely hard to come by. So it was time to head home. The Sorceress scooped her daughter up..
...and off they headed towards home to brew up a special potion. What that potion was I can not say, but I am guessing it was something powerful.

The Last Gasp of Summer

Summer is sadly coming to an end soon, although for my kids it has been over for a few weeks now. I thought I would get one last hit of summer in before embracing the sweaters and pants the cooler weather brings.
And because it is Tuesday, I have a shot of my booty. Lola started this a while ago and it has been a long time since I have had a bum shot in my Tuesday posts. And that is a 100% natural Phire booty, no ass implants here. I was going to say no mesh, but that would be a lie since my bathing suit bottom is mesh.
I thought I would give you a better look at the pattern on my bikini and a better glimpse at the new hair I have too.
