Beachy Dreams

      I swear I am not always napping in my pictures lately. I may look asleep, but actually I am deep in thought. I am probably thinking that it is going to start storming any minute now. That is the reality of where I live. Summer means afternoon thunderstorms on a daily basis. Sure there are days that are all day sun, but those are few and far between right now. At least it's always sunny in my digital life if I want it to be. As a matter of fact as I write this post I can hear the occasional rumble of thunder (in between songs mostly) hopefully the power won't blip like it did the other day.  You didn't come here to listen to me whine about the weather. 

      I am finally getting around to blogging this picture I took back in May, yes I know July is right around the corner, but it's been busy in my non-digital life lately. Some days you need to just take a break from all the craziness and have a little time out for yourself. Or share it with a duck, ducks don't mind. Beachy Bums

Sunshine-y

I know I am on a green kick but that doesn't mean I can't still indulge in my love for yellow. Who can resist a dress like reminds them of a beautiful sunrise?

Wishes

It's hard to pass by a fountain without tossing a coin or ten in and making a wish. Sometimes they are silly and nonsensical wishes, but other times they carry their own weight.

Watching the ripples spread from where the coin was tossed gives one time to think, either about the wish or if you are like me think up more wishes. Of course you must never reveal what you wished for or else it may never come true. However if you are wishing to rule the world it may be best to share that one. No one should have that much power...at least that is what movies have taught me.

See what I mean about wishes sending you off thinking. Do you think my wish will come true? Also can I have points for not once quoting "Call Me Maybe" once in this post, that was hard!

An Afternoon Coffee

So I had hoped to have the face lift done by now, but I am slow and indecisive. Oh and I also couldn't help but to want to get back to taking pictures and all those lovely things. So here is my first post in far too long!

I am of course starting with my best side or should I say backside? I have spent the start of the week hitting all the events that I hadn't yet, well almost all. One of my first stops was Uber where I picked up this top, skirt and hair. Retail therapy never felt so good.

Playing for my sheep

I take an audience where ever I can get one. Today it just happens to be the sheep that are umm blessed with my musical talents. I don't think they like it so much though, the seem to be heading as far away from me as they can get. It's possible I should have taken some lessons or at least watched a YouTube video before subjecting the sheep to my less than skillful playing. It may be for the best if I just put down the guitar and enjoy the peace and quiet, minus the animal noises of course.

I will admit heavy metal has never really been a musical genre that I have willingly listened to. I say willingly because there have been times that I have listened to it to make others happy, namely my kid, go figure. In My Room

Alone in my rooms I can belt out a tune like no one else. And I can dance like a pro, at least in my head. Reality is far different than that fantasy. In my fantasy there is no awkward moments when I forget the lyrics.

And in my fantasy being caught singing out loud is a good thing and not one to cause utter embarrassment. Perhaps it would be safer if I were to just listen to the music instead.

Playing at Punk

I am not a very punk girl, but I can play one in SL. I know very little of punk music if we are being completely honest, but that is the category at Rhapsody that my tied shirt and poses come from.

The pose set is named Joan, and if the names of the individual poses are any clue then I can saying guess they were named after Joan Jett songs. I know these songs very well because when I was little my sister used to play her record all the time. I used to sing along to "I love Rock n Roll" all the time. I was little and it was cute, or at least that is what I am told.

Bikini Beach Bum

As I warned the other day it is summer here in the Northern Hemisphere and so you will have lots of summer posts from me. Today is no exception. With Summerfest '14 in full swing I thought it only fitting to hit the beach in some of my new pretties. I of course didn't want to go in the water and mess up my hair so I chilled on the dock and watched the sun set.

I was all set with cushion and drinks. I could have stayed out there for hours after the sun set to watch the stars come to life.
The setting sun allowed my to slide my shades up as my feet dangled in the water. You couldn't ask for a more perfect day at the beach, though I could have used some company. Maybe next time I will invite some friends along for the fun.

After all summer is just getting started and I have many more bikinis and pairs of sunglasses to wear!

Sailing Away

Dress for a day out sailing he said. Well I went all cute and nautical because well that seemed to make sense. How was I supposed to know he had more of shorts and sneakers in mind? Whatever though I looked cute in my dress and heels.

Planning Dinner

Sometimes I like to be a good wife and make a nice dinner, it's rare, but it does happen. Today happened to be one of those days. I figured after a long work week he would enjoy a romantic home cooked meal. I started by picking out some flowers for the table, mostly because I like having fresh flowers in the house.

It was a tough choice, I mean I adore tulips, but maybe some roses would be my appropriate for a romantic dinner at home. I won't bore you with the details of shopping for all the things to make dinner with. Though you can see a bit of the ingredients poking out of my shopping bag.

Hopefully it will be a nice surprise and a great way to kick off a nice relaxing weekend together.

My Summer Happy Place

If it weren't for the potential for vicious sunburns I would spend all summer lounging by the pool. Sure I could slather on the sunscreen, but even that doesn't stop it. You fair skinned people out there know what I am talking about.

Not Quite The Darcy's

We strolled arm in arm across the grounds of his stately manor house, where we were headed I hadn't a clue. We had been courting for what seemed like ages and I wonder if today could be the day. We paused beneath a grove of weeping willow trees and my heart skipped a beat. He took my hand in his and said...

I hope can can forgive my my faults. We may have had our ups and our downs, but we have always made it through them together. You are patient and kind when I am in my foulest of moods and yet there you are still loving me the way you do. I dare not imagine a life without so here beneath these trees I ask...Will you marry me?
And with that he got down on one knee! As much as I had been waiting and hoping for this moment I was completely speechless. All the planning in the world never truly prepares you for the moment when the man you love asks you to share a lifetime together.

Oh and in case you were wondering once I regain the ability to speak I say yes, several times in fact.

Mountain Retreat

It's almost officially summer, which means it is time for summer vacations. When I was a kid we always took a summer vacation to one of the Northern New England states ( Maine, Vermont etc.) because the temps were always cooler. We would stay in the areas of ski resorts usually because they were fun even in the summer so I always seem to associate mountains with summer vacations.

There is just something so calming and peaceful about the fresh mountain air and the clear night skies. Those summer vacations were always so special to me and not just because they usually fell around my birthday.
