Awkward Holiday Card Season

      It's one of my favorite things of the holiday season, the family photo holiday cards. There are some that are just a collage of things the family did in the year, but then there are the gems. You know the kind, the posed happy family ones in matching outfits. I love those so very much for their awesome awkwardness. You always end up having to choose the least worst, because they are never actually good. Here is my own version of said family card.


      I don't do photo holiday cards personally because I am terribly at taking pictures when we are doing something, and everyone in the house hates how they look in pictures. I instead send out two different kinds of holiday cards, a "normal" one for family, and a crazy fun one for friends. That is all for now. Party Girls!

I am not a nightclub kind of girl, I am more of a local bar kinda gal. That being said I have agreed to go to clubs with friends in the past, when I was younger of course. The only kinda club you would see me hitting now would be the sandwich kind. I will hit up a "club" in my digital life, but that is mostly to listen to music and pretend I am social. Why am I admitting all this? Well it's because of today's post.

As you can plainly see you are partying it up with laser lights! Woohoo! Or maybe we are just using a background and are actually at my house. You will never know...until you read the credits. We do look pretty cute if I do say so myself, and I do.

The Duchess and her Cat

      Once there was a Duchess who was gifted an enchanted cat. That cat could walk and talk just like a human, only well it looked like a little black cat. The Duchess asked the cat what her name was and the cat replied, "How kind of you to ask Mi'Lady, I am called Isabel. And what may I ask shall I call you my Lady?". The Duchess thought for a moment and then replied, "As we shall be the very closest of friends you may call me Adi. I much prefer it to Duchess Adelina of Pirin".

      As time passed the two became inseparable. There favorite place to go to escape the pressures of social responsibilities, and all the pomp and circumstance of her title, was a set of ruins hidden on her lands. No one knew of their location other than Duchess Adi and Isabel. They would dance around and be silly for hours. The duchess would share her secrets there at the ruins. The pressure to marry someone of her same social standing or better. It was all too much for Duchess Adi.

Wine Tasting

      One of the activities I enjoy in my non-digital life is to visit vineyards and wineries. In fact there is one just a few miles from my new house so you know where I will be on the weekends, It doesn't hurt that there is a distillery right down the street either! But that is not what I am about today. You see not all vineyards and wineries are the same. At some there are coolers where you can purchase nibbles, as seen in the picture below, at others these are not available. I personally enjoy the ones were I can pick up some nibbles to go with a lovely glass on whatever wine strikes my fancy.


      Some of the vineyards I have visited do have little outdoor seating areas where you and your friend(s) can go relax in the the sun while sipping away and chatting about whatever strikes you fancy. Now that I will be living closer to friends I hope to do this sort of thing more often, but don't worry I will still be here to write about some nonsense or another.

Flower Ladies

      I am so happy that spring has sprung. I thrive on sunny skies and bright blooms, though I could take a pass on the pollen some days. I love seeing the trees come alive with green again. Gone are the dull greens of a southern winter, as if someone flipped a switch things are suddenly more vibrant. It looks like I inadvertently styled us to looks like a tree and the sun, or at least that is what it seems like to me. Maybe I am channeling my inner sunflower? Either way spring in here and I could not be happier about that.

Too Early

      I am not a morning person, even when woken with a delivery of coffee to my face. I am cranky and irritable and will attempt to throw things if you ask me something before coffee has passed my lips. Also there is that whole morning breath thing, I wouldn't want to kiss me with stank breath what makes you think I want to kiss you? So when someone attempts to get all snuggly and cuddly I am not really down for that.



      I know that makes me sound like a terrible person and you may pity those who live with me, and I wouldn't blame you too much. I do on occasion wake up on the right side of the bed and those are the days where everyone is happy.I won't explain how me waking up on the right side of the bed makes others happy, you have imaginations, use them! Seeing Double, sorta

      So today I am going to be showing my age. Of course you can see friend and I "twinning", but that isn't the thought that popped into my head. You see when I look at this I am reminded of the old commercials for Doublemint gum. into my head of course popped "Double your pleasure, double your fun.", which not that I think about it sounds really dirty! I of course didn't want to be identical twins, mostly because that would have been a pain. So we went with more similar looks instead. I mean could you imagine a world with two of me? It would be terrifying to say the least.



      As you can see there is a lot that is very much the same going on, but enough difference to keep us our own person.  Maybe we are more of a twinning thing then Doublemint twins, but well...I got nothing.

Beware the girl in the club

      At least once in you digital life you should hit a club or cafe in SL. I ma not saying you have to be all social or anything. You can dance in a corner all by yourself and be quiet as a mouse. A fun thing to do while dancing is profile peeping, you can learn all sorts of things about a person that way. You do have to beware of some girls, they may be super eager to bring you back to her place. Heck you maybe anxious to get back to hers too.



      However you must remember that old saying of buyer beware. While she may look all sweet and cute, she may have a terrifying secret. Maybe she lives with her parents. Possibly it's her roommate that may be the scary factor. Maybe he home is decorated with sad clowns, I know that would be a nightmare situation for me!


      It could just be possible that you will never even make it back to her place. It may not be what is in you pants that she is after. Maybe she wants something more...like your soul!

Wedding Season

      May and June are always chock full of celebration's that it can get exhausting. Not only do you have graduations, but there are weddings around every corner. Sometime you are a guest and other times you are in the bridal party. That means photos, and lots of them. You do your duty for as long as you possibly can, but then you just need to let loose. Maybe while you picture partner is looking pretty for the camera you can give a quick wink to the hottie best man.


      If you are lucky you won't get caught by  the photographer. I don't suggest doing such at a graduation party, unless they are finished with college. In that case flirt away!

Quiet Afternoon

Living in the southern part of the United States I don't have to worry about snow or other wintery nastiness. That means I get to spend more time outside, which is a lovely thing. This is what a typical afternoon would look like, well with a few changes. For starters it would be one of the kids hanging out with me, and they would be drinking something other than coffee. And to be honest I would probably be reading on a Kindle or using a tablet. Falling for You

I'm falling for you all over again. It's a good thing I am because you keep me grounded instead of floating off into the air. I will give up my wings for you and find a new heaven with you.


I have no idea what just cam over me. Am I a romantic at heart? Nah I just get ideas in my head and see if I can execute them well enough to make me happy. And I am happy because I know a secret about this post, but I am not gonna tell! It won't be a secret if I did, Duh! I do need to buckle down and organize my inventory so I can get back to a regular posting schedule. What can I say everything needs to be in it's own proper place to make me feel productive. Sunny Days and Damaged Shoulder

Why yes I am finally back after a three month or so absence. Back in May I messed up my shoulder...bad. Not being able to use one whole arm for more than two months sucks! But now I am back and I got to enjoy a little of the sun while I was healing. Hitting the waves was much more fun than physical therapy.


Before getting into the water you need to test it. It was cold, but not freeze your bits cold. From here the waves look fairly tame, but looks can be deceiving. Some of those waves can knock you off your ass. Or they can toss you around and you get a sand rash. Next time I try boogie boarding I am wearing a rash guard! The nice thing about bigger waves is that they bring the surfers to the beach. I am not going to lie, I was sneaking a little peek here and there at then. I was studying their techniques, as realizing I am going to need be a little more graceful before I can attempt surfing.


That won't stop me from observing the surfers in action anytime soon.

The Oracle's Walk

Everyday the oracle who lives in the forest takes her walk. No matter the weather she is out there walking. She uses her senses to guide her on her daily stroll through the area. She knows that the quacking of ducks and the trickle of water means she is at the pond near her home. The ducks are always having a lively conversation, what about the oracle isn't clear on, but the do seem into it.



Once the scent of tulips hits her nose the oracle knows she is home. For her home is the only place in all the forest where the tulips will bloom. She loves the scent they give off and can only imagine their beauty. Before she ventures further and enters her home she hears an unfamiliar sound.



Turns out what she heard was me practicing my violin after yesterdays failed concert...oops.

My Audience

This was the only audience I could get to attend my very first violin concert. They were are very adorable audience and I was totally getting into the music.


I mistakenly thought they wee ones were enjoying it as well. Sadly I was terribly wrong in my assumption. The Sea Witch's Sister

By now you may be familiar with the Sea Witch who made the deal with the Little Mermaid. That sea hag was pretty darn evil if you ask me. Did you know she had a sister, well half sister to be fair. Maybe because she is only the evil Sea Witch's half sister that is why she is rarely brought up. Either way, she inherited all the witchiness, but none of the evil part.




While here sister was living in the ocean making disastrous deals with the merfolk, Alma was on the land trying to make things better. She would do her very best to try and assist the merfolk who visited the ruins near her home. Alma was also know to help any other types of folk who came for her assistance.

While her look may have intimidated some, the tales of her aid spread far and wide, leading to a great number of folks seeking her help. Through her assistance and kindness to all she was able to obtain the sort of life her sister could only have dreamt of.

Two Ladies, one event

The title says it all. If you haven't been to Sanarae yet here is a look at two different outfits that could be yours. Of course there are others, but we are only two bodies. I picked this cute little set from M.I.X because it had such a vintage feel to it. If I could time travel all I would do is shop, and maybe drink, but mostly shop. Bunny on the other hand went for a more cozy look with a big sweater.


We are both rocking some hair from Wasabi Pills, different styles of course. I went for a short do to and to that vintage-y feel. If you happen to wonder about the look on my face I was mid eye roll about whatever it was she was going on about. Now I must dash and get things done before the rain comes a calling.

I promise the title of the post will make sense when we get down to the credits. Well I guess from a quick glance you can see we are wearing the same sweater, just in different colors. The outfit comes with just the sweater or the sweater and skirt. I wasn't in the mood for a skirt. Luckily Bunny is always willing to be the girlier of the two of us, so she wore the skirted version. I think she looked more spring-like, though I look like a bee, so maybe we both nailed the spring thing. I don't have anything really brilliant to add today, so I will move onto the credits. Air Guitar Solo

It's no secret in my house that I listen to music when I make dinner. I may sing along...horrifically bad. The one thing that I can't stop myself from doing when is a guitar solo, with the right song of course.

The music changes depending on my mood or the time of year. Around the holidays it's usually Christmas music. Lately it's been 80's pop hits. There are plenty of air guitar chances when you listen to that. The whole point originally of the post was I was going to do a little series on what inspires these posts, by then I figured who wants to hear why I do it?
