Earth Boys Are Easy

      The  Vintage Fair may be over, but that won't stop me from busting out some vintage styles I procured from the fair. You know of that moment when you start styling something and all the sudden an idea forms in your head, well that is what happened here. I remember the title of the movie from 1988, Earth Girls Are Easy and decided to play around that. So with a space cat dress, and cat eyes I decided Earth Boys Are Easy too. I am not being sexist, just silly.



      As you can see this sweet looking gal has a tongue not of this world. What she intends to do with it, well I will leave that to your own imagination! I assure you that is not just any tongue, from afar it looks like she may just be related to Gene Simmons, alas for our poor lad this is not the case.


     That tongue there has some menacing looking suckers on there like an octopus. I really hope there aren't seven more hiding somewhere on her being...

Flower Ladies

      I am so happy that spring has sprung. I thrive on sunny skies and bright blooms, though I could take a pass on the pollen some days. I love seeing the trees come alive with green again. Gone are the dull greens of a southern winter, as if someone flipped a switch things are suddenly more vibrant. It looks like I inadvertently styled us to looks like a tree and the sun, or at least that is what it seems like to me. Maybe I am channeling my inner sunflower? Either way spring in here and I could not be happier about that.

Mondays are for errands

After a weekend of fun it's time to get back to doing adult things. Mondays are busy days as there are always errands to be run. Today it was picking up some last minute items for dinner. No matter how hard you plan there is always something that gets forgotten or needs to be changed. Today I decided to treat myself with some spring flowers.



It's my favorite time of year for flowers. Mostly because my favorite flowers are in season. I have a love for tulips. I don't know when it started or why, but they are my favorite. I must admit the colorful daisies in the pot were very tempting. Maybe I will pick some of those up on my next outing. Now I must rush home to decorate my home, I can't leave my March decorations up in April, that would just be silly.

My Favorite time of the year

My favorite time of the year is just around the corner so I couldn't resist starting the fall blogging early. Sweaters, hot chocolate, pumpkins, baking like crazy, these are the things I look forward to the most. Fall here in Tennesee doesn't seem to last long enough for me. One moment the trees are beautiful, then one strong storm and everything is bare, but that's ok, I can still enjoy the crisp fall air. I can also enjoy fall all year long in SL.

Oh yeah, after my last post I finally gave in and bought mesh eyes. I can see why people love them and I'm odd eyed again like I was long ago!

The Poetry Muses

I like to thinks that there are muses for all sorts of things, like poetry. I also like to think they are specialized and need to recharge their musing powers. For today I have selected three of the poetry muses. First we will look at the one who inspires poems about the woods and tress and such.

When this muse needs to recharge she seeks refuge in the forest surrounded but all the trees. She communes with the trees and after a while she feels rested and rejuvenated enough to go out and inspire sylvan poems.
The next muse is like a sister to the Muse of Sylvan Poetry, she is the Muse of Flowers.

I am sure that it comes as no surprise that she finds flowers to have a restorative quality. She wanders fields of breathing in deeply the fragrance of the flowers growing there. When she is ready she goes off to inpire poets to write about the beauty of flowers in many ways. The last muse I was able to come across is the Night Muse, she inspires all those poems about the night, the moon and the stars. Some of my favorite things.

This muse rarely needs to seek out a special place to recharge as the night comes well nightly.She gazes upon the moon and stars in the dark sky. She finds that she feels the most power radiating from a full moon on a cloudless night. By day she is out there helping poets write about that time that she holds so dear. There was one other poetry muse out there, but she was very elusive and I never was able to track her down. She is the Muse of Hearts, she inspires all those heartfelt poems that lovers, or ex-lovers write. Maybe she has her own lover that she draws upon. If that is the case then maybe that is why I never saw her?

Holly Berry Fairy

Have you decked your halls with boughs of holly? Why not deck your body instead? That is what I did and I look purely angelic.

Yes I know I did something other than cropping a picture, but I couldn't help myself. I do look angelic anyways, the glow just makes it more obvious. I may be listening to too much Nutcracker lately..sugarplum...holly...it's all Christmasy in the end.

How about a little kiss will that make you forget my random ramblings? Now I am probably the least Goth chick you will ever meet, but you can get this tattoo at Gothmas by Gaslight. I figure if Tim Burton can have one I can too. In my Wonderland the Flowers would be huge and vibrantly colored.

I could live in this shanty

Because it is cute and has yellow and is not a run down house. I stumbled across this dress last week when I was checking out the summer sale at Second Style Island. The great thing about this dress it that the skirt comes in two version, sculpty and flexi.

If it isn't completely obvious to you yet I chose to wear the sculpty version. Aside from the yellow in it (my favorite color) I really like the top part of the dress, it just seems like it would hold up and display the ladies so nicely. I mean really who doesn't wanna show off their rack?

I swear despite my frown the dress really does make me happy.

More Alt Fair goodies

I am sure you all are going to be sick of me by the end of that day. It's alright I promise no to blog again after this. Well at least for today. Now on to the stuff. This time I am going to show you the stuff I got from Silentsparrow and Schadenfreude as well as a little glimmer of the latest shoe release from Shiny Things.


First up is the gorgeous Mourn dress from Silentsparrow. Would you look at the back on that thing. Shoot I think I would jump my own bones that is how sexy that is! But wait it gets better! How you may be wondering.





Ditch the skirt and put on either the boy shorts or panties for a totally seductive look. Who wouldn't want to get it on after seeing that? Even my RL man though it was hot and normally he just rolls his eyes and laughs at me.

But no sexy look would be complete without the proper accessories, in this case it is the Lolapop Icon choker. The black pearls and dangling crystal and photo just add to the elegance and well it draws the eyes downward to the boobies! Yay boobies!

Eh hhhm moving on....

How cute is that skunk? This dress is the newest in the Electro-cute line from Schadenfreude and is only available at the alt fair right now. And as you can see if you aren't in the mood for skunky cuteness then you can go with the plain teal top, but really where is the fun in that?

Not wanting to be all girly wearing a skirt, but still love the skunk or maybe just the color. It's okay because you are covered. No literally just drop the skirt and wear the tank top version and you are covered.

Did you notice my shoes in those pictures? Those are the new Zimmy flats from Shiny Things. If you haven't gotten yourself at least one pair you are missing out. These puppies are very versatile and will work with just about anything you got goin' on!
