Rainy Days

Some days are just not meant for working in the garden. Today is one of those days, as the rain falls upon the parched earth. I was meant to be gathering herbs to make a special little concoction for a friend. I would call it a love potion per say, but it does reinvigorate those feelings, as long as they are already there. My little mixture doesn't work if both parties aren't already in love.



I have heard the rumors about town, they call me a witch. If using what is available from the earth to help improve the lives of others makes me a witch, then so be it. Never had I used my knowledge to do harm, nor would I ever. I blame all those fairy tales. They always make a witch seem like a terribly wicked woman. Most "witches" I know are perfectly lovely people. Oh well I will return to the house to see what other things I can cook up, maybe a some nice fluffy bread.

Fleeing into the night

When I saw this set from Faida and Fallen Gods Inc. it make me think of the fall of Czarist Russia. It may not be exactly historically accurate but then again this isn't a history class. I imagine our fleeing damsel here to be a lady of the court and hearing all the commotion in the palace and high tailed it out of there to preserve her own life. Whether she made it to safety or not I will let you decide, as there was much turmoil in the world at the time of the fall of Czarist Russia.

Thirst Quenching

What better way to spend an autumn afternoon than curled up with a handsome man and sipping some nice warm tea?

Now tea can be comforting and also thirst quenching, for most people. You see for the lovely couple one of them was not getting the satisfaction they were craving. They needed to try a different approach.

They stood, getting a little closer than they were. One of them still in need of something thirst quenching and that is when it happened.

And that is when it happened. The poor man never saw it coming. One moment he was looking into her gorgeous eyes and the next well, we can all figure that out can't we?

His Lordship's Newest Toy

Every year a young maiden is sent away from her home to the manor of the local lord to serve him in the manner he chooses. She is dressed in the purest of white garments to showcase her virtue. It had been said that it is the longest walk a maiden from the village can take.

Once she arrives at the manor she is put through a rigorous inspection by his lordship himself. I won't go into the details of the inspection, but if he doesn't like what he sees then she can be sent off to work in one of his brothels or she may be given away as a gift to any of the other lords in the surrounding areas.

Lucky for this years maiden she is deemed worthy by his lordship and is taken away, cleaned and dressed and marked as his. For the next year she is there to serve him whenever and where ever he feels. There are days where she will not see him at all and then there will be days that she does not leave his side.

Who know what will happen to her next year when the newest maiden is sent to the manor, but for now she is his and that is all she knows.

Haunting

I will admit I am a big Game of Thrones fan so when I heard about The Conquest event I got very excited. I combined a few different people in my head to create the idea for this picture. You see I was going for the spirit of a woman haunting the ruins of her ancestral home. I don't want to say any more than that because I would hate to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read or seen the series.

Daughter of Lava

The Daughter of Lava is born of cinders and ash. Her father rules the volcanoes of the world and one day she will take over. She has all the beauty of her mother and the black skin of her father. For those who were not aware, Aphrodite and Hephaestus are her parents. That's right the goddess of love and the "ugliest" god are her parents.

She has learned a lot from each of her parents and is as generous as she is beautiful.

Magic Surrounds Me

There are so many events going on at the moment that it is hard to keep track. Today I have some sexiness from two such events. From another era

I have spoken time and time again about my love for old movies and often times that love flows into my pictures and styling. As is the case with today's look. The bolero combined with this style of dress just makes me think of a ballroom scene in many old movies.

The bolero from Fallen Gods Inc. and Faida comes with a HUD so you can choose between a few different textures. I picked a the brocade texture because it just added that feeling of elegant opulence.

Seven Deadly Sisters - Wrath

I would not mess with this woman. To say she has a temper would be putting it mildly. Maybe she has anger issues because she is always alone, or maybe she is always alone because of her anger issues. Either way she is destructive when she is mad and I did my best not to get on her bad side. Of course I would never tell her to her face she has a bad side, I value my life too much!

Wrath is definitely not PETA friendly by looking at her attire. I of course would never take issue with this with her. Though who knows maybe it is faux fur so she can keep up appearances. I hope you enjoyed my little trip with the Seven Deadly Sisters.

Seven Deadly Sisters - Lust and Greed

Let me introduce you to Lust and Greed. These two sisters have a symbiotic relationship. You see Lust loves to well she likes to entice people with her body. Greed has decided that this is a wonderful money making venture, which makes her ecstatic. Greed is always making sure Lust is working it to bring in all the money her greedy little hands can carry.

I was lucky enough to catch Lust at least partially clothed, her hair was long enough to cover anything that delicate eyes may not want to see.

It wasn't easy getting Greed to let go of her money long enough to take a picture. She even wanted me to pay for the privilege of taking her photo! She really is greedy! Tomorrow I will share with you the scariest of all the sister, the one I was lucky enough to survive, Wrath!

Seven Deadly Sisters - Gluttony and Sloth

Gluttony and Sloth are the sisters of the day. They get along much better than Pride and Envy, mostly because Sloth doesn't care what sort of mess Gluttony makes and can't be assed to clean anyway. Gluttony likes to over indulge in all the good, and not so good things.

Gluttony is never seen without some sort of food in her mouth, in this case it is a cake pop. Though to be truthful it's not just food you will find Gluttony with, at times she can be seen with whatever alcohol laden drink she can get her hands on.

It's amazing that I could get Sloth off the couch long enough to stand and get a picture taken. Of course she left her sleep mask on because well taking it off would require effort. Sloth can usually be found lounging about doing as little as possible, which lets be honest would be nice to be able to do some days. Tomorrow we will take a look at Lust and Greed, the symbiotic sisters.

Seven Deadly Sisters - Pride and Envy

I would like to introduce you to two of the seven deadly sisters. Today it is all about Pride and Envy. These two sisters do not get along at all. In fact they fight a lot!

Envy always wants what Pride has and well Pride can just be so full of herself at times. These two bicker constantly in the heavenly realm they call home. Many people have tried to keep these two apart, but it never works out so well.

Pride thinks she is the best at everything she does. Don't get my wrong there are some things Pride should take, well pride in.

Envy on the other hand always has issues with other people's accomplishments, especially Pride's. Envy is a very jealous person and is always trying to knock her sisters down a peg whenever something goof happens to them. She is not a nice person at all! Tomorrow I will introduce you to my two personal favorites Sloth and Gluttony.

Spring Swing

I can't think of anything brilliant to write to go with my pictures today. I think I have writers block. It's a terrible thing to have happen really. I will however say that when I took these pictures I was imagining some sort of Goddess having a little down time. I have always enjoyed stories of the Greek and Roman Gods and Goddesses. I had a Moon Goddess in my mind when I was getting dressed which is why I chose the blue and white parts of this collaboration from Faida and Fallen Gods Inc. It also paired really well with the necklace and earrings that are on sale at Maxi Gossamer this weekend.

The Captive Bookworm

Enchantment has started it's newest round and it is all based on Beauty and the Beast. This one has always been a favorite because of Belle's love of books. Being an avid reader I always thought she was the best. I had to surround her with books because it just seemed appropriate. The poses, dress and hair are all part of this round and when you buy them you get a little stamp card that you stamp in all the participating stores and then redeem them for prizes. Now I want to point out something about the dress. It comes in other colors, but that's not all...

There are four different ways to wear it. There is the slim skirt, the fuller skirt, the lace overlay, and all of it together. I chose the innocent color because really Belle was innocent so it is quite fitting.
