The Journal Kiss

Today I attempted the scene in the rain from The Notebook. Again it's not a perfect remake. I would have been at it for a lot longer than I wanted to be if I tried that. So instead of a lake there is a lovely pond. But hey there is still rain! No quote for this one, just the epic kiss.



I can not lie. I am obsessed with men with beards lately. I think that is why it makes this one my favorite and perfect for Valentine's Day. Even if you are alone today, just remember I still love you ♥♥

The Burdy Sisters - Dove

Some time ago on a small island a mother gave birth to three baby girls. As they grew she notices something peculiar about her girls, they were growing feathers! It would appear it was a rare genetic disorder, but their mother swore it was a curse put upon her and she never had anymore children. Each of her daughters grew and aged as any normal girl would, only they had feathers. Today I will introduce you to young woman whom they call Dove.



Dove was given the name due to her dove colored feathers. She was very much like her namesake in a way. You see Dove was very peaceful and loving. She loved to surround herself with the color white and she collected things that she felt were beautiful, even if no one else saw the beauty in the object.



Dove was the sweetest and most innocent of the Burdy sisters. If it weren't for the feathers scaring off people she may have found love...

Fleeing into the night

When I saw this set from Faida and Fallen Gods Inc. it make me think of the fall of Czarist Russia. It may not be exactly historically accurate but then again this isn't a history class. I imagine our fleeing damsel here to be a lady of the court and hearing all the commotion in the palace and high tailed it out of there to preserve her own life. Whether she made it to safety or not I will let you decide, as there was much turmoil in the world at the time of the fall of Czarist Russia.

Fresh Start

I felt it was time to do a little redecorating, they only problem is where to start. I have so much furniture in "storage" that I feel it's time to dust some of it off. The problem I face is I have no defined style when it comes to my furniture so where does one start?

Maybe I should start by figuring how I want each room to feel. I know that the kitchen should feel welcoming because that is where everyone always gathers no matter the occasion. The living room I want to be functional and not at all stuffy looking. I want people to feel comfortable there, but not have it look the a total mess of a place with nothing tying with each other. My bedroom is the easiest of all. I know I want color in there, mints, blues and teals, all working together of course. No matter what I end up doing I know one thing, I have a pretty decent view.

Last Leaves of Fall

This autumn has been a bittersweet one for me. It is the last one that I will be living in New England for. Now I may be biased, but I think Autumn in New England is beyond compare. The leaves are ablaze with colors that defy description. At least that is how I feel about it. As with most things the beautiful foliage must come to an end.

So as I sit here on the ground, as the last of the leaves float down, I will comfort myself knowing that like the seasons life changes. So as I await the start of winter I will await the new adventure ahead, just without the need for a heavy jacket just yet.
