Today's trip down lovers lane brings us to Knotting Hill, and a little travel bookshop. If you haven't guessed and I am just referring to a place, but also the movie Knotting Hill. This time I am taking on the scene where Julia Roberts (Anna) confesses her feelings to Hugh Grant (Will).


Anna Scott: After all, I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.

Tattoos and Me

Some things you may not know about the non-digital me is that my hair is currently red and I have two Celtic inspired tattoos on my body. Nope I don't have pictures, it's hard to take a picture of your own shoulder. I don't have nearly as many tattoos as seen here, not does my hair ever look this fantastic.


The swirl  bit you see in the middle of my chest there is what I have tattooed on my wrist, though it's a little changed to be more meaningful to me, which isn't that what a tattoo should be, meaningful to the wearer I mean? If you click on the picture you can see better, but there is a lot of Celtic knotwork going on here too. That is what I have on my shoulder, though my knots are in the shape of a star. What can I say I have a thing for stars. Please forgive my pictures if they are a little on the blurrier side of things. I am still getting used to the new computer and it's graphics. Hope those celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow enjoy and those that don't have a happy Thursday!

The finale

While Eddie stood there freezing his marbles off a figure appeared all clothed in black. Eddie couldn't get a glimpse of her face as it was hidden from sight. This spirit took Eddie buy the collar and started him on his journey of discovery. If you hadn't guessed by now, she was about to show him is future.


Their first stop was to a party full of women. You would think this was Eddie's dream of a future but you would be mistaken. The women of this party were drinking, dancing and being full of cheer. Slowly it dawned on Eddie that all these women were his former conquests all gathered together. He asked the spirit why they were all gathered together and dancing merrily. Before he received an answer the party had faded away and they were standing in a graveyard.


The spirit spoke not a word but just pointed. Eddie followed to where she pointed and to his horror he saw his own headstone and freshly dug grave.

Eddie put two and two together and realized all those women were celebrating his death! Eddie fell to the specters feet and swore he would change his womanizing ways and be a better man.
When Eddie awoke the next morning he kept true to his word and started treating women vastly better. They were no longer object for his own amusement. Now the only heart to get broken is Eddie's, but maybe some day he will find his true love.

Part the Third

The following hour Eddie was awoken by a bright light creeping out from under his door. He arose from the bed to find yet another hottie awaiting him.


She was surrounded by a feast of delicious looking food. Suddenly Eddie realized he knew this story. So you are supposed to be the "Ghost of Christmas Present" I presume Eddie inquired. He even dis the obnoxious air quote thing when he said Ghost of Christmas Present, I told you he was an ass. "Yes I am. And you can drop that air quote nonsense." she replied. She grabbed Eddie by his cardigan their little tour began. 

They began with the first girl he had dated that year, and peeked in on one from every couple of months that year. Each one Eddie had broken their hearts, and each was cursing his name, some so colorfully that I darn not repeat it. Needless to say Eddie was not a popular person amoungst these woman. When the spirit figured he had enough she vanished into a cloud of shimmering dust leaving Eddie all alone in the middle of town.

Part the Second

Later that evening as Eddie was asleep a glowing pale figure appeared in his room. She stood over his bed an watched him sleep until her mere presence awoke the slumbering Eddie.


Instead of fear or worry he greeted his nocturnal visitor with a " Damn! Who are you babe?", for even in the middle of the night he was checking ladies out. The vision in white replied "I am here to show you your past, so take hold of my hand and our journey shall begin.

She took him back to see his very first love, the typical pigtailed little girl from kindergarten. They travel through his middle school crushes and girlfriends. There adventure ever took them to his freshman year of college where he meet the one girl who broke his heart. After this last visit they returned to Eddie's palatial apartment and the specter faded into the night without another word. Eddie convinced himself it was nothing but a dream and promptly fell back asleep.

Watching the snow fall

I may no longer get snow where I live, but that doesn't mean I can't pretend. I haven't given up drinking coffee in this warmer climate either so it makes sense to have it in my hands. I admit I am trying to drink tea instead when my hands are freezing. Thus far I have a zero percent success rate. Oh well there are worse vices out there to be sure. For now I shall continue to sip my coffee and remember the days of snow (not that I would give up my sunshine for snowflakes)

Storytime

My dragon friends love it when I read them stories. I try to make sure the stories all have dragons, but not terrible knight who go around killing dragons. Stupid knights don't know what they are doing! All because one dragon once went a little crazy and terrorized a village now all dragons are bad. Hrumf I say. The Dragon Queen, also known as my mom, watches out for all the in our land. I get to play with all the little whelps. They are too adorable for words! That little one who is trying to read over my shoulder is always following me around. I think it may be because our wings are the same color.

Quiet Corner for Coffee

I love grabbing a cup of coffee and finding a quiet spot to just chill out in and have a moment to myself. Moments alone are very rare and I jump on them any chance I get! I am also a somewhat terrible person because I will listen to things other people are talking about, like where to get the best chicken and waffles near my house. I do this in Second Life as well. Only it's more socially acceptable when it is talked about in a group you are in. For instance these pictures were taken at Whole Wheat, which I had never heard of till it was mentioned as a place for fall pictures.

They have different scenes all set up there, like the coffee house which is where I chose for my pictures. It is really worth checking out as they are always adding to it.


I had to add this picture so you could see the adorableness of my face. It makes me look all sweet and approachable...it lies.

Picnic Time

I thought it was time to drag Bunny out for a picnic. She was a bit on the reluctant side. Okay she was downright cranky about it, but she still agreed. Now normally in my posts I don't mention designers by name, but this time I am. Don't fear it's for a totally good reason. You see the cute pose I have going on here. Well I wouldn't have been able to take the picture if it weren't for Luna, the owner of !bang. You see the vendor spit out the wrong pose when I bought it and as soon as I let her know she sent me the proper pose and made things all better. Mr Grant and I headed out for a day of sunshine. Mr. Grant it my dog, you see he is named after one of my favorite old actors, Cary Grant. The Quiet Life

When I was taking this picture (and the other dozen I didn't like) I kept thinking of Beauty and The Beast. I am not saying I am Belle or The Beast, it's actually for another reason. If you have ever seen the movie than you know the song Belle sings as she walks into town. Yeah that kept playing in my head, well just the "Little town, it's a quiet village..."When I took this picture I had yet to see a real snowy day, now I have had 3 days in a row and it looks just like that around here. At Peace With Winter

It's Groundhog's Day today and the prediction from Phil and Chuckles (our state groundhog) is that it will be an early Spring. With the mild winter we have had I don't think that is any surprise. That being said I think I have come to have an appreciation for Winter and the snow that it brings. This could be because I know it is my last winter in the Northeast. Gone will be the need to shovel, the threats of snow days and the ice slicked roads. The idea used to terrify me. I have never lived anywhere else, now I look at it like a grand new adventure. This adventure is leaving me buried in cardboard boxes currently, but it's all part of the fun right? So I shall bid a fond farewell to the winters I have known and embrace the winters yet to come.

Fleeing into the night

When I saw this set from Faida and Fallen Gods Inc. it make me think of the fall of Czarist Russia. It may not be exactly historically accurate but then again this isn't a history class. I imagine our fleeing damsel here to be a lady of the court and hearing all the commotion in the palace and high tailed it out of there to preserve her own life. Whether she made it to safety or not I will let you decide, as there was much turmoil in the world at the time of the fall of Czarist Russia.

Smoothie Time

Smoothies are one of those food that combine a whole bunch of healthy things into one. While there are lots of places that sell smoothies some of us find it safer to make them at home. No worries about cross contamination. I have to avoid strawberries since I am allergic to them which makes summer a complete bummer for me. The being said I decided I would whip up my own smoothie with a little banana and some other fruits.

I have to say I make one heck of a tasty smoothie. Just the right blend of fruits so no one fruit overpowers the other. Now if only I could get someone to clean the blender for me I could sit back relax and enjoy the summer sun.

An Afternoon Treat

Some days you just need to take the time to treat yourself. There is a bakery near me that I go to to treat myself. They make the most incredible truffles.
My favorite truffle will always be the "Peter Rabbit" one which is a carrot cake truffle, so yummy! Of course some days I also need a caffeine boost in the afternoon.

Rockabilly Criminal

I look like I am trying to be all subtle getting into the car. I am such an (un)smooth criminal. So here I am all rockabilly-ed up because Lola didn't think I could pull it off. I know I should be insulted but whatever, I rocked this shit!

Recently Nomine I had a big sale on Marketplace and Lola and I were looking at all the mesh dresses (which you will see more of)and she bet I couldn't do a rockabilly look. I can't back down from a challenge so here it is.

What do you think did I pull it off well? I admit I had help picking the hair and tattoo, because sometimes you need a second opinion. As I said, the dress is mesh and as will all mesh I suggest trying a demo.

A little naughty a little nice

When I started getting dressed I had this picture in my head of someone who has to get dressed all nice because she is going to see her stuffy gran. Well being rebellious she wore a pair of boots instead of dainty shoes and went with the heavy make up and bright lips. Not certain if I carried it off well but in the end I liked it and that is all that matters right?

Day Dreaming Dark Raspberry

This was the last color Sakura and I did in our whirlwind photo shoot afternoon. As you can probably guess we were worn out. We were gonna stop but we soldiered on. And by soldiered on I mean I sat my ass in her rocking chair while she changed. Then being the lazy butt I am I refused to get up so we took pictures in the rockers. We embrace our lazy like that.


Sakura sits all pretty as a kitty.


I on the other hand am not so lady-like. Who knows what the rest of the colors will bring us.

Alice Blue Bloods

I hemmed and hawed over a title for this post I couldn't decided between Alice Blue Bloods or Alice Blue Buds. Oh well.  For this post Sakura and I wanted to find a sweet place to photo. Sakura was looking super sweet in one of the new Lolita style dresses from Nomine. I almost feel like an older sister to her cuteness.



We make a good pair though as she is patient with my picture taking and I am patient with her changing. I wonder if she caught any of her own snaps while we were at it since I get to be the bossy one when we are doing these pictures. Well I mean I tell her were to stand and everything but I don't dress her. Well not for the most part anyway. I may give a suggestion or two...here and there you know.
