It's Hair fair time!

      Fall is officially here and so it the 2018 Hair Fair. It arrived yesterday just like fall, and I was in bed with a cold for both, go figure. But I rallied myself and here I am with my first post. Now I could give you an onslaught of picture with me in my new hairs, but today is going to be in information filled post, maybe with a little hair thrown in. First thing is first, there are 4 sims with hair named Brunette, Blonde, Redhead, and Noirette. There are also two cam sims in case you can't get into the four main sims. Oh and for you guys out there this is not a ladies only event. There are quite some handsome styles for the fellas too, and they are all marked with a big giant symbol over the shop so you can't miss them. For a sneak peak at all the hair and their locations you should hit up the official Hair Fair Blog. That will show you the styles, give you the slurls, and the location of the booth on the sim!Now don't forget that this is a charity even and a certain percent of all sales will benefit Wigs For Kids. My own daughter has donated her hair to Wigs For Kids a couple of times. She loves helping other kids and you should like helping them too! Before I forget the hair fair runs to the 7th of October, so if it is full this weekend you still have plenty of time. Now How about I show you one of the hairs I purchased at the Hair Fair?


      As you can see for this first Hair Fair picture I chose a cute pony tail style. This is because it is the way I wear my hair most days in my non digital life. My hair does that curly wavy thing, so tossing it in a pony tail is a much easier way to deal with it. Now I know some of you have seen me wear clothes from {amiable} before, but this is new hair from the same creator. There is also a cute pigtail style, and a short bob type as well!

You Look Fine

"You look fine", that is what she told me when she woke me up from my nap to take a picture in the yard. I knew I shouldn't have trusted her, you never trust an older sibling. I should have learned that over the years, but did I? Obviously not or else I wouldn't look like I got into a fight with a squirrel.

Oh well even looking like still have sleepiness in my eyes we are still a cute pair, though maybe next time I will decide when we take a picture!

Forget tennis, lets get coffee

When I saw these outfits at The Chapter Four it made me think of cute little tennis outfit...till I put on the shoes. Playing tennis in wedges is just a recipe fro disaster, especially for someone as accident prone as me. So I called up my girl and we changed plans last minute. Coffee and gossiping is way more fun than actual exercise, and flapping your jaw is a work out if you have a lot to say. It was a lovely sunny day so we enjoyed our coffees outside.

In the garden

I have a fascination with hydrangeas. I an not sure if it is their shape, or the fact that your get a bunch of blooms in one bundle. Whatever it is I made sure my house has some in the front. I gathered up these full blooms so that I could dry them. That way even in the dead of winter I have a little reminder of what the summer will bring, aside from heat and sunny days.

I wonder where I will stick these when they are all dried out. Maybe I should pick some more and turn a whole bunch of them a wreath, a ring of pastel glorious-ness.

School Ties

Are we in detention or maybe study hall? I don't have a lot of personal knowledge about detention I was one of those "good kids" when I was in school, I wasn't a tattle tale though that is for sure. I did do my fair share of note passing while in class which could explain why I failed the classes I sat near friends in. It was okay though because I think they didn't do any better.

It doesn't matter how well we did in class because we always had each other's back. I wonder how well I would do in school now a days compared to when I was in high school back in...

Drying Off

After hitting the waves, whether it be on a surf board, jet ski or even just swimming you need to dry off. I mean you could drip dry and let the sun help, but that can be chilly!

I have to admit I am quite color coordinated at the beach today with my red, white and blue. It wasn't planned that way it was just the luck of the draw, kind of literally. The rash guard set and the towel are both from a gacha machine at the Okinawa Summer Festival.There is something there for everyone. Now that I am dried off I am going to head home and wash the sand out of all my nooks and crannies.

To the farmstand

Where I live late May through early October are the best months. That is because I can go to one of the many farms and Farmer's Markets in the area and get fresh fruits and veggies. At some of the local places you can even go pick your own. My favorite to go and pick are apples, but I have to wait a couple more months for that. If fact just this weekend I picked up some fresh blueberries and turned those into blueberry muffins this morning. Later this weekend I will hit the farm down the street again to get some veggies for a salad. Unfortunately it is only in Second Life that I can bike to a farm stand to pick up fresh milk, veggies and bread. All the places near me are either too far away or require traveling on very busy dangerous streets.

It's time to head home with my bounty and see what I can cook up with the fresh goodies.

Sweet Outdoors

Blue skies and light breezes and the warmth of the sun, could there be anything better? Spring has finally arrived here where I live in with it has come the sun and nice warm days. It's enough to make anyone want to run barefoot through a field. Unfortunately the grass hasn't quite gotten to the lovely shade of green that it gets in the summer time.

Soon enough it will be bathing suit and backyard barbecue time!

Little Blue Love Bug

With the little blue love bug ready to roll I am sneaking off for an adventure. I think maybe I will drive along the coast and maybe find some inspiration. Painting in the raw

I have to admit I am a very messy painter. In fact I have decided that it is better for me to do my painting in the nude. It saves my clothes the abuse of my less than prim painting. Now that my artistic endeavors are done it is time to hop into the bath to get all cleaned up.

Nothing like a luxurious bath to get clean after being so inspired. I think I will just take my sweet time getting all cleaned up.

A day out

I have apples and drinks and everything else I could need for a day spent outdoors. I even have some sunscreen tucked in there. I figure I will listen to the waves crash while I sip my drink and maybe even get caught up on a little reading.

From another era

I have spoken time and time again about my love for old movies and often times that love flows into my pictures and styling. As is the case with today's look. The bolero combined with this style of dress just makes me think of a ballroom scene in many old movies.

The bolero from Fallen Gods Inc. and Faida comes with a HUD so you can choose between a few different textures. I picked a the brocade texture because it just added that feeling of elegant opulence.

Spring in my step

Spring is here which mean it's time for some bright colors. And since the latest round of The Fantasy Collective opened I decided to get my pixie on. Nothing seems more fitting for spring than a pixie flitting about. Of course I also believe spring means yellow and since I can't really wear yellow all the time I mixing it with another color seemed like a fair deal. This time it's pink. It's true I do not like pink, but when it is mixed with another color it is much more tolerable.
Hopefully now that spring is here the warmer weather will follow and the sunny days.

I'm not lost...

...I am just temporarily misplaced. You see I always heard if you go into the woods and you are quiet you can see the teddy bears having a picnic. Maybe I was too loud or maybe it was the wrong woods, but before I knew it the sun had set.

Lucky for me there was a full moon out so I wasn't completely in the dark. I guess for my own safety I should just stay here for the night. One of these day I will find those teddy bears having a picnic!

Hopefully I will be safe till the sun rises. I have heard that wolves like to lurk in the woods as well.

Seven Deadly Sisters - Wrath

I would not mess with this woman. To say she has a temper would be putting it mildly. Maybe she has anger issues because she is always alone, or maybe she is always alone because of her anger issues. Either way she is destructive when she is mad and I did my best not to get on her bad side. Of course I would never tell her to her face she has a bad side, I value my life too much!

Wrath is definitely not PETA friendly by looking at her attire. I of course would never take issue with this with her. Though who knows maybe it is faux fur so she can keep up appearances. I hope you enjoyed my little trip with the Seven Deadly Sisters.

Seven Deadly Sisters - Lust and Greed

Let me introduce you to Lust and Greed. These two sisters have a symbiotic relationship. You see Lust loves to well she likes to entice people with her body. Greed has decided that this is a wonderful money making venture, which makes her ecstatic. Greed is always making sure Lust is working it to bring in all the money her greedy little hands can carry.

I was lucky enough to catch Lust at least partially clothed, her hair was long enough to cover anything that delicate eyes may not want to see.

It wasn't easy getting Greed to let go of her money long enough to take a picture. She even wanted me to pay for the privilege of taking her photo! She really is greedy! Tomorrow I will share with you the scariest of all the sister, the one I was lucky enough to survive, Wrath!

Seven Deadly Sisters - Gluttony and Sloth

Gluttony and Sloth are the sisters of the day. They get along much better than Pride and Envy, mostly because Sloth doesn't care what sort of mess Gluttony makes and can't be assed to clean anyway. Gluttony likes to over indulge in all the good, and not so good things.

Gluttony is never seen without some sort of food in her mouth, in this case it is a cake pop. Though to be truthful it's not just food you will find Gluttony with, at times she can be seen with whatever alcohol laden drink she can get her hands on.

It's amazing that I could get Sloth off the couch long enough to stand and get a picture taken. Of course she left her sleep mask on because well taking it off would require effort. Sloth can usually be found lounging about doing as little as possible, which lets be honest would be nice to be able to do some days. Tomorrow we will take a look at Lust and Greed, the symbiotic sisters.
