     Maybe this would have been a better one for last week with Halloween, or maybe back in September for the failed area 51 invasion. Oh well poor planning on my part, but here it is.

Whisper sweet nothings into my ear. Say that you love me loud enough to hear. 

      And there is my attempt at some poetry. Honestly though, don't ever whisper something in my ear, or blow on it for that matter. Sure some ladies may find it sexy, but it squidges me out. Everyone has something that gives them the squidges. You know that thing that makes you scrunch up your nose and shiver with disgust. yeah the squidges. I am going off on a tangent here, I am sorry. Jungle Protector

The jungle has always been protected by her watchful care. Many poachers have attempted to claim one of the animals in her care as a prize, none have been successful. Her days always start the same by checking on all the animals. It is simple because they live on a small island. After all the animals are accounted for her watch begins.

She carefully looks out across the land and into the sea looking for any approaching ships. They try to sneak onto the island but are always found be her and her fellow protectors. On occasion the interlopers will flee and leave behind items. That is hoe she obtained the boots that now protect her feet so well.

She also listens carefully to the sounds of the jungle. Some poachers are wising up to the vigilance of the island protectors and are dropping off men in the dark of night with plans to return to retrieve them and their prizes. They don't make it past the protectors. When she spots a group of them she sends a signal to the other protectors.

To an outsider it may look like she is giving a signal to kill them to her fellow protectors, but that is not the case. You see they never kill. The just round up the poachers, bundle them together in a neat little package and leave them on the beach, or send them off in their boats. They have never seen the same poachers twice.

Fruit Not Lollipops!

Have you ever tried to reason with a toddler? It never ends well, someone always ends up in tears and it is usually the adult. This is what happened recently when I tried to have a healthy treat time with my adorably stubborn niece Livy. You see I went through all the work of making, fine buying, a whole bunch of yummy fruity treats for us to have in a little backyard afternoon camp out. Sorry you won't catch me actually sleeping under the stars unless you could a skylight. However a certain small someone had other ideas, specifically some lollipops. I still am baffled about where she pulled those from. I mean here I spent good money on a cute watermelon grill and tons of fruit kebabs. I thought she would love eating them. She obviously likes to eat fruit flavored things on sticks, just not actual fruit.

I took a little breather to try and recoup and not lose my marbles. I finally thought up a compromise that did the trick. She got to eat one lollipop, but only after she ate some fruit, either on a skewer or in a popsicle form. I may have also promised she could have one for dessert after we ate dinner later in the night. I think next time she gets dropped off I am going to have to search her for candy contraband.

A little retro

This weekend I cleaned up my inventory a little. It's wasn't a big purge, more like putting things where they belong. I admit I may have gone on a shopping bender or two recently. And well as you do when you are sorting things I put on these jeans. They had a retro feel to them and I knew exactly what top to rock with them. Well since I had a retro chic thing going on I added the glasses and well it rolled from there.

Groomora*

I have a strange little mind. I mean I could have gone all mystical dryad with this skin, but no, that would be expected instead I introduce you to Groomora. Who is Groomora you may ask, why she is the love child of Groot and Gamora. Come on you know those Guardians of the Galaxy had to hook up in space. Sure the obvious match would have been Star Lord and Gamora, but with the greenish bark-like skin you could totally understand where my head was going.

Unlike Groot who only needed his pot once, Groomora needs to sleep in her pot to receive all the nutrients she needs. Sure it sucks, but hey she gets by. For the first part of her life she was raised in a special pod, in theory to keep her safe, but it was boring.

Could you imagine having nothing to do all day but look at flowers and climb trees, completely oblivious to the action your parents are seeing outside your safe little pod? No I don't mean the kind of action that made her! Poor girl. Hopefully one day she will get out there and be totally kick ass like her mom...and dad too.
