Snowball Fight!

Some days sibling rivalry takes hold and you just need to pelt your older sister with a snowball when she isn't looking. Now I won't say that is is satisfying to hear her yelp as snow fell down her back, oh who am I kidding it's the best thing ever! What's better is being able to run away faster than she can make a snowball. Look at that totally satisfied smirk on my face.

Serving the Queen

The Queen loves to throw garden parties. She needs to have her tarts of course but she also demands to have red rose cupcakes and heart cakepops. She insisted I set up a separate table with mushroom shaped treats and "drink me" bottles. She figures anyone who eats the non-regal treats are traitors and she will shout for the removal of their heads. I loathe her garden parties. Hopefully word of mouth has spread about the mushrooms and bottles because I am not sure how many more "off with their heads" the kingdom can take!

Hopefully the time is near for the Alice girl to return and save us from this mad queen. Maybe she could so something other than growing large an disappearing on us this time!

Making Cookies

I make a lot of cookies around the holidays, some I don't need a recipe for because they are either really easy or I have made them enough times. Everyone has their own favorite, my kids really like peanut butter blossoms and we always make sugar cookies so they can have fun decorating them.

Sometimes when I am baking I misplace my recipe. It takes talent because they are usually printed off on a sheet of regular sized paper, but I tend to move it out of the way and then cover it will all the flotsam and jetsom of baking.

Then comes the waiting. Waiting for them to finish baking, waiting for the timer to sound and waiting for them to cool off so I can eat them! That song was right waiting is the hardest part.

When all is said and done though I can treat myself to some hot chocolate and a freshly baked cookie or twelve. This the season for indulging right?

Flower Picking Princess

It's time for my second post of the day. I am going to make it short because my cold meds will be kicking in soon.
