Some more Spring style

I am slowing getting back into the flow of blogging and SL after taking a little break. I have had this all ready to blog before my time away, but just never got around to it which is sad because I really love this look. It all started with the skirt,it happened to be a gift during the egg hunt at Cupcakes around Easter. Yes that is how long I have had these pictures waiting. I knew that I wanted a cute cropped jean jacket and after asking around on Plurk I headed over to BareRose and found just what I was looking for. The scarf was a no brainer, I knew Maitreya had what I wanted, what I didn't realize was that is scarf is scripted to change. How cool is that? It was like getting seven scarves for the price of one. Since I was picking up the blues in the skirt with my shirt choice (my go to halter from Naive) I picked up the scarf in a shade of purple.

Now I am going to take a moment to talk about just my shoes. I was through XStreet one day for something and somehow spotted these. Now I admit I was a little skeptical at first, because the price was too good to be true. I was however pleasantly surprised. I suggest those of you looking for a bargain check them out. These shoes happen to be scripted to color change, another added bonus. Well enough of my babble, down below is what you are really here for.

Secretary for the day

This look came about simply because I wanted to wear a system skirt and a monocle. Yes I know not my typical choices, but every once in a while I like to shake things up a bit.

I decided to go for a polished retro look which works well this system skirts in general. I think I ended up looking like a secretary who is too smart for the job she is stuck with. Which reminds me of my mom and how things were when she was just getting out of college, she graduated with a degree in Biology and the only jobs she could get in a lab was scrubbing test tubes. She passed on that and went into banking…go figure.

I even remembered to wear accessories this time around. I have an embaressingly large jewelry folder for someone who never remembers to wear it. I decided to go witht he earings the match the monocle and then the locket because well it looked good to me. I also have a ring on, but bad blogger I am I didn't get a good picture of it.

Looking Savvy

So a while back I showed you a dress that I picked up at Savvy? and just had to share, Well it seems that Dakota has decided that the time has come for her to hang up her Savvy? hat as she has taken on a role of designer over at Armidi. Yes I know this is old news, but in case you missed her post back in December, there is a sale going on over at the Savvy? locations and Imogen and Retrology. Now there is no set in stone end date for this sale but I highly recommend you get your buns over there before the chance is gone. Stars upon thars

Damn that Ivey Deschanel of Sn@tch fame she got me to two ways with these Sneech sweaters! No only did she appeal to my addiction to stars, but she also made my inner child smile. For those of you who don’t know the Sneeches are these yellow creatures with or without stars on their bellies. It is a great book by Dr. Seuss it teaches all about discrimination and how we are all the same no matter what we look like on the outside. I had to dig it out when I got these sweaters and began reading to my kids because it is a very important lesson. But I am getting way off track.

The Sneech sweater comes in eight colors and is on both the shirt and jackets layers with prim cuffs and collar. I could not just cover my arms and chest with stars, oh no, I had to go and cover my booty with them too! I am wearing the adorable Starry boy shorts from Jaywalk. They are super cute with a little prim tie, you know for easy access….or so I have been told. Lya Muse has ventured beyond shoes and is now making some cute clothes. There is more then just these shorts, you need to go see for yourself and you may just get lucky at one of the two lucky chairs in the store!

Pretty Pretty Princess

*Drifts into the blog and gives a regal wave*

Good day my darlings it is I Princess Phire here to grace you all with my presence. Wondering what on earth has gotten into me? Well you can blame it all on Katat0nik Pidgeon and her latest release the Princess dress. I happen to think I look better then any Princess Disney could churn out and this is way better then anything those bitches wore.

Belle’s gold dress ain’t got nothing on my pink dress. Look at all the details on this dress, lace on the gown and the gloves, ruffles on the panties, cute little details carried all the way to the stockings! Eat your hearts out Jack, Gus and all of Cinderella’s other mousie friends!

Every princess needs her jewels and today mine come courtesy Violet Voltaire by way of her Eternity necklace, bracelet and earrings in tourmaline. Now if you want to get all these pieces you are going to have to hurry and work for them, but it is so worth it! The earrings are only available at Violet’s shop on the Journey sim, the bracelet is part of the Juicy birthday and the necklace can be had in the church outside her main store along with tons of other goodies. Do yourself a favor and check them out and while you are there you should head into Violet’s shop to see all the other fun jewelry she makes.

Sleak and Savvy?

A while back when I was stalking the Lucky Chair at La Sylphide I was getting a little antsy and decided to wander around a bit. I found myself inside of "Savvy?". While the designer behind "Savvy?" may be designing for Armidi these days that doesn't mean you can't still get her original works, which I shall call Vintage Dakota. I found quite a few things in the shop that caught my eye, one of them being the riding gloves that I am wearing. The zipper detailing on the glove just makes me giddy. I feel all sorts of posh, and I am not talking Spice Girl either.

A girl can't have enough little black dresses and the Little Black Ache dress is a great one to add to your closet. The top and glitch pants come on all the appropriate layers, leaving you options for making the look your own. Today I simply accessorized with some gold jewelry to accent the zippers on the gloves. I feel ready to go out to all the fancy resorts and party it up with all the pretty people. Anyone for drinks and dancing in Vegas?
