Operation Squeegee- No longer a tease

It's officially open! It's time to for you to do your part to help the poor animals. I am going to dive right in and start with this shirt from 5th & Oxford because the quote on the back of the shirt is just so wonderfully fitting.

I know the quote is hard to see in the picture so I will write it here for you..

A very fitting quote given what we are raising money for. The shirt comes in other colors, but the white on black gave me a great backdrop for the necklace. It too is available at the Operation Squeegee HQ from Miao (KessKreations for those who didn't know). It is an open locket that you can put your own pictures in, and of course has all the metal and gemstone changes that one is used to. Oh and the poses used in these pictures are one of the offerings from dollipops. They are wicked cute and I will be using them in other posts coming up so you can see most of the set.


If you have done the Good Shit Hunt then you may have seen the first version of this top, however the ribbon has been reworked and now there are many colors, but you can only get it at the Operation Squeegee HQ. I of course am wearing the yellow along with the studded cuff from Lolapop which is exclusive to Operation Squeegee. There is more to do then just shop though. Happy Mother's Day

It's officially Mother's Day here on the east coast, so to all you moms out there Happy Mother's Day! Here is my tip for anyone who hasn't gotten their mom a gift yet. Get her a tiara, it doesn't need to be fancy, a little plastic one will work. It will let her know she is queen and you should treat her as such. Or if she is like me, give her something to wear while doing housework.


See a tiara makes even the most loathsome chore tolerable. Oh a word of warning to the mommies out there who do chores in a tiara, don't forget to take it off before you leave the house, unless you can handle the weird looks you get.

High School Clique Fashion- The Artsy Student

It's time once again for one of my themed posting sprees. As you have probably guessed I am taking on the cliques from my high school days. Well there are more like a caricature of the clique they are representing. I mean I don't remember anyone walking around school looking quite like this, but you get the point. I plan on showing off one clique a week. Now on with the show!

Here is my little artist before class just hanging out in the hall. Most of the accessories she has are CSR gifts from Gritty Kitty. There is still time to get the painters apron, but hurry because it ends Monday I believe! The details on it are amazing.

Ripped jeans and a tank top for movement allows her to make broad brush strokes or maybe throw things, you never know an artists temperament. Even in SL where we are all adults you can still fit into one of the high school cliques. So were you an artist in high school or now? or will you clique be coming next?

Running in style

When I first saw this set at the Naive fashion show it went on my must buy list right away. Then I found out it came in yellow and that just sealed the deal. Of course I had to wait to the renovations to the Naive mainstore to be done before I could buy it. The hoodie and shorts both have little prim drawstring details, only the short are tied into a neat little bow. The shorts and hoodie both come with with whatever accent color you pick and then a black and white version. Have I mentioned lately how much I love choices? Well I do!

To finish out the look I knew I needed a ponytail and I went to one of my favorite ones, the Gwen hair from Exile. Of course I have to be an pain in the ass and wear the striped version that is no longer for sale. Sorry, but the style is fab non the less. And of course I am wearing my demi trainers from ETD. Everyone has there go to sneakers in SL and these are mine.

Happy Earth Day

Today marks the 39th year that Earth Day has been celebrated, so in honor of that I put together this little look. I though this shirt was appropriate as it says "It IS easy being green", a fitting sentiment today. Sadly this shirt, from AnnaH before it became Storin, is no longer for sale, but that didn't stop me from wearing it.

I also used the Go Green bag from HoH, I actually use these sorts of reusable bags in real life. I always remember to bring them to the grocery and any other store I am shopping in. It is just one of the small things you can do to help. I am sure I don't need to tell anyone any way to help out as I am sure you are getting bombarded with them everywhere else today, at least I know I am here in the US. Anyway I hope you all have a great day and as the saying goes Earth Day is everyday!

I have a pretty hair do-dad

 

I have had this dress sitting in the infamous "to blog" folder for sometime now. It was waiting for just the right accessory to compliment it. I finally found just the right pretty while at Ruru@Pino for the Bunny Hop hunt. Of course I bought it while and put it away in the folder it belonged in. That was a serious mistake. It seems in my attempt to be organized I completely forgot which accessory folder I filed it under. Was it with the flowers or was it with the hairbows/barrettes? Well after searching for it, and missing it several times it was found. Yay! I was finally able to get dressed up. I kept everything else simple so that the dress and hair accessory could be the focus.

 

I did learn something while taking these pictures, finding poses with work with prim nails is NOT easy!In the end I think I look ready for a night out....now to find myself a date.

Secretary for the day

This look came about simply because I wanted to wear a system skirt and a monocle. Yes I know not my typical choices, but every once in a while I like to shake things up a bit.

I decided to go for a polished retro look which works well this system skirts in general. I think I ended up looking like a secretary who is too smart for the job she is stuck with. Which reminds me of my mom and how things were when she was just getting out of college, she graduated with a degree in Biology and the only jobs she could get in a lab was scrubbing test tubes. She passed on that and went into banking…go figure.

I even remembered to wear accessories this time around. I have an embaressingly large jewelry folder for someone who never remembers to wear it. I decided to go witht he earings the match the monocle and then the locket because well it looked good to me. I also have a ring on, but bad blogger I am I didn't get a good picture of it.

Ms. Bunneh gets naughty.

Yesterday Ms. Bunneh was very quiet. I think she was trying to recover from that animal husbandry course. Today she called me up and asked me to come over and to make sure I brought my camera. You see she had a plan, a plan to land her a man, well a hare to be more precise. Mr. Hare lives down the forest path from Ms. Bunneh and she has had her eye on him for quite some time. Today she was going to do something to grab his attention, have to take some erm provocative photos of her to gift to him. Being the friend that I am I obliged. She has allowed me to share some of the...less sensational of them with you all.



I can't wait to hear from Ms. Bunneh how the photos that I took worked out for her.

After all the photos we shot Ms Bunneh was so tired she just crashed onto her cute little bed. She does have the cutest little bunneh hole home I have see ever!

Today was a warm and sunny day so Ms. Bunneh decided to hit the links. Of course any golfer knows that plaid pants are a must on the golf course and Ms. Bunneh is not one to ignore such tradition.

The Lion and the Unicorn

Girl Fight!!!!!! Okay really a Unicorn and Neko fight but we are both girls so it counts right? The idea for this post came from this nursery rhyme.

If you couldn’t guess it, I am the unicorn and Sakura is the lion. Of course since this is my blog post I get to decide the winner. Care to guess who won this fight?


Well of course I won…duh! But Sakura was a tough opponent. Okay so I am just saying that so she will keep giving me her boots, but that is beside the point. For this post the only guidance I gave was that we were supposed to look like fighters. We each picked out some beat up skin and our own take on a boxers look. We never really get a chance to wear our beat up skins because we don’t want to look like we have been abused. I had been dying to wear this outfit from Bijou since I saw it on the runway at a fashion show a month plus ago. I look all tough and it has stars, it doesn’t get any better then that!

Todays forcast: chilly with a whole lot of sexy.

I have another sweater for you today, well to be honest it is a sweater dress, and a short one at that. I bought it specifically because I had these awesome socks from corduroy to go with it. Yep I dressed foot first. Of course I then went and hid them with my boots, go figure. Fair warning this is one short little sweater dress so make sure you are wearing undies so you down go around flashing you down under (really it has a pant and underwear layer so you are covered). It also comes with prim cuffs for the sleeves and the top is on all the layers as well as your bottoms so there are plenty of layering options. The solid colors allow you so many choices for leggings, tights or sock, whatever floats your boat really.


After I was done take the pictures I was throwing on a pair of jeans and decided that I really liked wearing the top part of the sweater dress as just a tucked in sweater. OMG does this scream suburban soccer mom? Please say no, because I don’t think I could handle that since this is kinda how I dress in RL! Oh well I like it and that is all that matters!

Another day another hoodie to share

Are you sick of me and my hoodies yet? Well it matters not because I have another to share today and from a some what surprising source. We all know that Digit Darkes makes some glorious dresses, but did you know there was a hoodie tucked in with all that splendor? Well there is and I found it! Okay so maybe I am not the first to find it, but I am taking credit and no one can stop me so there!


Located tucked amongst the tops and skirts is this Star Sequin Hoodie. Sequins and a hoodie, does it get any more diva glam? I could totally see some rock star chick sporting this hoodie. Wonder what my band name would be? Phire and the Flames...The Phire Phighters? Hmmm something for me to ponder.


Oh right we were talking about the hoodie. Sorry. This hoodie can look bad ass or not, depending on how you dress. I think I look kinda bad ass. The stars on this hoodie are only on the right side as you can see from the pictures. Just enough to declare your own rock star place in the world. You will have people seeing stars, seeing stars..oh my starry eyed surpri.....oops I better get going before I scare you all with my singing inabilities.

I was naive about Naive!

It wasn't until this past weekend, when I went to the Naive/Sweetest Goodbye show, that I got a real good look at the items offered by Naive. I loved the Rebel Condition pants on the model so much I had to grab a pair of my own. They seemed a little too punk on her though so I tried to soften the look by adding the top from the Play Division set. But my true love is the pants. The wrinkles and shading make you look good coming and going!



There was a wall of items for sale after the show, or during if you couldn't wait and I grabbed the Noir Perfume in black. It is a sexy little number, the pants come complete with prim bottoms. The wrinkles are in all the right places and give this piece a nice depth. Oh and the dangling chain on the back is a nice touch too!
