Making Room For Something New

      It's time for THE PURGE! I don't mean the movies (which I have never seen), but an inventory one. It's time to make room for all the new things in life and let some of the old go. Yes that is totally a metaphor for life. It seems 2020 is the year of deep thoughts for me. Fret not, for I am sure it won't last long. In fact I know it won't! 

      I have been on a big cleaning and sorting and organizing binge lately. Clearing away the old and the clutter helps me think clearer in both worlds. Of course cleaning up my SL inventory is way easier, I can box things up and not have to worry about where to store it, there is no hauling stuff to the trash bins, or donation centers. Just a few clicks of a button and poof all sorted. Oh well at the end of the day life moves on and we should be willing to as well. Enough of my waxing philosophical I will see you again soon, with something a little less deep.

Music Mondays - Auld Lang Syne

      I admit I had to look up the lyrics to this one because I can only really remember the first couple of lines. I figured this would be the best song choice to finish up on as it is popular on New Year's Eve, which just happens to be tomorrow (or today for you future dwellers). If I had planned this better I would have incorporated all the lines from the song, but the cup o' kindness bit always stands out to me and it gave me an excuse to use one of my many teacups. 

     
    So now here I am offering to let you sip from my cup of kindness. Don't worry I am germ free! Now I shall not be forgetting old acquaintances since that seems harsh. The Gatherer

      Now just because Halloween is over doesn't mean witches magically disappear from the world. However this has nothing to do with witches, but more to do with those who are seen as witches. Just because a woman wears long skirts and is seen in the forest gathering mushrooms, apples, and other things the wood provide she is seen as a witch by the townspeople. In all reality she is just doing what all the women in her family have done. Using what nature provides to heal all sorts of aches and pains. 

      Now does she look like the type of person you would think of as a witch? Of course not! She just has been educated on the healing powers of herbs and such. I mean maybe you could call her a healer, but not all witches are healers and not all healers are witches. I am rambling, which means I should finish this post. I will say I am not a gatherer, especially of mushrooms because I think they are fairly gross when cooked.

Music Mondays - Walk Me Home

      This Monday I have a little P!nk for you. I picked the song because it has one of my favorite lines "I can't be alone with all that's on my mind", because lately that is how I have felt. Being in a bit of a bad place health wise can do that to you. However I am not here to talk about that. As with most of the posts I have done thus far I took some inspiration from the video. What can I say I am a sucker for a red dress.

      It's fun to see what I have that can work for a photo, and what I may need to shop for. I use almost any excuse to shop. Since there really wasn't a man in the video I went rogue here and tried to figure out what I gentleman would be wearing. I think he looks pretty spiffy. I am going to stop there for today. Next week will be a surprise since it is Halloween Week and I want something fitting.

Wrong Choice

      They did say the cricket was for luck, I should have listened. At least I have my bead of jade for beauty. If you haven't figured it out I am referencing Mulan. When I saw the red animesh dragon from lassitude and ennui at The Ark i instantly thought of Mushu from Mulan. I wanted to go for a more modern look for Mulan, while still being me. The dragon will circle around you so maybe he is a good guardian, I mean he can't be any worse than Mushu right?

Rubies and Cat's Eye

      Today I am bringing you a dress that I picked up at the Fantasy Faire, which has sadly faded back into the mists. You see I chose this dress because the colors reminded me of Kashmiri rubies and Cat's Eye. As with some of my purchases there is a personal connection to these two pretties. I won't bore you with the details today.
