Market Day

A-tisket, A-tasket, I went to the market with my basket. I could keep with the rhyming, but that would honestly tax my brain cells. So far I have procured some flowers and some bread, I think I need to get a little more in the way of food stuffs. Then again all that fabric is alluring. A lady can never have too many dresses.

I think I spy a lovely shade of blue that would set off my eyes beautifully. I wonder how much it is and how badly I will have to haggle with the vendor for it. Here is hoping!

Natural Retreat

There is just so many wonderful creations to be had at the Fantasy Faire that getting them all in before it closes it proving hard! Today I thought I would show you a sexy little number mixed with some of the home and garden items that can be had. I was going to try and write something pretty and poetic but words are failing me.

Your eyes are not playing tricks on you I am in fact wearing pink. I am also wearing pretty shiny jewelry, which totally makes up for the pinkness. Behind me you can see an all natural hanging seat. It's like being a seed in a pod.

I also had to get a shot of the back of the outfit, which also gave me a lovely view of the pond. I am s sucker for ponds. I won't admit to how many I have because it may make me blush. in the pictures you can see the supports of the gazebo that I am sheltered under. A lady doesn't want to get too much sun, it can be bad for you.

Music and Petals

Even an elf needs a happy place. Sometimes that happy place is full of music, flowers and trees like this cream clad elf's happy place.

On occasion when the mood strikes she will sit at her piano an play a sweet melody, other times she will stop and smell the roses. Both the music and the scent of the flowers seem to have a calming effect on her when the stresses of power get to be too much.

Violetta's Adventure

Earlier I introduced you to Violetta and as I alluded her story wasn't over. You see she was scooped up by that tornado and brought to a whole new world. Well it was new to her and she was scared stiff. So stiff that someone mistook her for wall art and sold her! Suddenly she was hanging up in some strange little creatures living quarters.

After a bit of a struggle Violetta was able to free herself from the wall and decided to explore the strange place that she ended up. The thing the little creature slept on was very soft and it seemed to make her happy. She then found this table with all sorts of things that made marks, she she drew pictures that reminded her of her own home.

The pictures that she drew made Violetta extremely homesick and she longed to get back home. The new land was interesting for a time, but Violetta had no desire to stay. She walked over to where the small creature slept and whispered goodbye.

Violetta wasn't certain that the little sleeping creature heard her, but she didn't waste any time waiting to find out. Violetta snuck out the window and caught a breeze, hoping that it would take her home since the tornado brought her there to begin with. She did eventually land at home, but she floated over many different and to her exotic lands. Some were hot, some were colorful, other were wet, but the one that got her attention the most was the one that was frozen over.

Meet Violetta

I am going to introduce you to Miss Violetta Plumpoppet. She lives in a lovely little place called Poppetsborough.

Violetta wakes up everyday and smells the lovely tulips that grown outside her window. They are always in bloom so everyday starts off sunny and smelling good. Violetta goes through the routine that we all do as she gets ready for the day, showering, eating breakfast, etc. Then she is off to work!

Violetta waits for the commuter train to take her into the larger city where she works as a dress maker's assistant. Violetta hopes to one day have her own line of sheet music dresses.

I wasn't able to follow Violetta once she got off the train. Something about not being allowed to see the work the master designer was working on. I did meet up with Violetta after she got off the train at the end of the day, but then something happened, almost as if out of a story. Violetta was scooped up by a tornado! Hopefully she will be okay...

Firestarter

While looking through some of the old books in the attic of her grandmother's house a young lady came across a book with some weird writing in it. Being the curious sort she started looking through it.

She started reading further and realized it was a book of spells. Now she didn't think her grandmother was a witch. I mean witches don't bake delicious cookies and cakes do they? As she read one spell she started to feel a tingle in her hand. The next thing she knew there was a ball of flames in the palm of her hand!

The young girl was startled at first, but then realized the potential this ability had, never would she be cold or in the dark, so she practiced. After a few hours not only did she no longer need the book, but she was able to produce flames in both hands!

She wondered what other spells were in the book, but decided that mastering conjuring of flames was enough for one day.

Then Tavern Maiden

Sure she make look all meek and what not standing there before the fire. She may have to cook and serve all the men would wander into the tavern, but she is a tough customer. The men never know what secrets are hidden away in her apron or stashed away in the jars. One sideways glance or mislaid hand and they could be suffering from some terrible gastric distress later in the evening. She isn't malicious, just very protective of the other girls who work in the tavern.

She also has another secret. She is the true owner of the tavern. Many believe that it is owned and oppurated by a man, but that just isn't the case. That is how she can get away with adding an extra herb here or drop of potion there to the food and drink in the tavern. Hey a girl has to protect her investment and having rowdy ale fueled brawls is not the way to go about it.

Maleficent's Sister

Many people know who Maleficent is by reputation alone, but did you know she had a little sister? Her name is Beneficent, she look very similar to her older sister, but her attitude it much different. You would think their parents would see this coming given the names they gave their daughters. Maleficent and Beneficent divided the enchanted forest that they call home in half, each ruling her on part. They got the idea from those witches in OZ, only they didn't have to share as much.

Beneficent's realm was always bright and sunny and the magical creatures living there loved their benevolent ruler. See what I did there?

Beneficent was always a shiny happy fairy, he inner shine coming through in her wings and her choice of apparel. Hopefully one day the sister will be able to join the entire enchanted forest, if Maleficent can get come to terms with the loss she has suffered in the past.

Petals and Purples

It's Fantasy Faire time! The time of year when my imagination gets to run wild. It can be a scary prospect, but I love it. It also gives me a chance to try out new styles that I normally may be to chicken to try. My outfit and hair today are both available at Fantasy Faire. The hair is technically a men's style, but I think I rock it fairly well.

I wanted to try and get as many pictures of the kimono as possible without overwhelming you with pictures. There is something about the texturing on the rope that just draws me in as does the iridescence of the bow in the front. It's little things like these that always seem to draw my eye.
